The transaction was made and money has taken from my account however, I received note that something went wrong and I was unable to finish at first try the check in. It was frustrating!

I have but my reservation number in the app 1000 times and every time i close the app, it forgets it. And even if i register my jumber and try to see my booking, it says it dont find it! Worst app!

The Ryanair app is absolutely terrible. I’ve tried multiple times to reserve seats for my flight, and the app simply doesn’t work. Every single time I try, something breaks, the process freezes, or it fails before completing the booking. It’s unbelievable that such a basic feature doesn’t work properly. Booking seats should be one of the simplest things in an airline app, yet Ryanair somehow managed to make it a frustrating and time-wasting experience. Trying to check in to my flight, nothing works on the first go. Have to click everything twice, as the first time I always get a “something went wrong” message. Then with the payment I had to try 6 times until the payment finally worked, options were missing like the currency selector for apple pay, or even the options to choose the type of payment (paypal, apple pay, card). Nothing appeared on the first try, had to go back and forth several times for the page to even load. Terrible. Constantly throws up error messages when trying to proceed through the check-in process, which, to make matters worse, is obviously just about upselling the user. It should be illegal to force travelers to use the app and not provide the boarding pass through other (electronic) means.

Random errors all the time. No explanation. No proper customer service. Can turn out to be an expensive airline. An extremely frustrating, annoying and unpleasant experience.

Ryanair tricks customers with their shady check-in process. The mobile app doesn’t allow check-in until just 2 hours before the flight, and if you don’t manage to check in within that tiny window, they hit you with a massive fee at the airport counter. This feels 100% intentional and predatory. It’s ridiculous that in 2025, a budget airline can’t manage a basic online check-in experience without using it as a trap to squeeze more money out of travelers. Ryanair wants to cheat you on every step to make money . I couldn’t check in my kids and need to contact with their online chat service. Most of they guts don’t want help . They will just disconnect the chat . If we give date of birth of kids while booking tickets the. Why again Ryanair has to deny boarding . Just to get 55Euros extra

The app gives no hint on how to resolve the case of cancelled flight when you are already in the airport. Also, the built-in browser fails to perform login to Ryanair account, login button just doesn’t work.

Very difficult! 1) Not possible to vonnect my booked flight with my account. 2) adding my travel companions: I could not checked them in! I was working on the whole process 1-2 hours!!!! All the time came the note: “internal error”. Then AT LAST, I was able to complete. But wasted time! 3) I cannot add my phone number! Ryanair suggests (system DOES NOT ALLOW!), as my number is not long enough for it! But it is correct, but I CANNOT ADD IT! WHY?!?!

The support queue is 500 people, flights get suddenly changed, prices triple overnight, the booking experience is a nightmare. I have a hard time figuring out how the whole thing could be made any worse. Avoid at all costs.

I can’t get any adequate response regarding my compensation for over 4 months. They sent me cancellation notice before 3 days of planned flight, but wrote in their email that: “As you have been given over 14 days’ notice of this cancellation, no entitlement to EU261 compensation arises.”

Tried to pickup preferred seat during flight checkin, but received error BookingContactMissing during the last step. The same procedure using the Ryanair website was also an unsuccessful, it didn’t give any errors, just cleared the credit card text fields. Tried calling support service - the waiting time was more than 20 minutes. Gave up, didn’t want to waste my time on this anymore. To conclude - poor customer service and buggy application.

I am on an iPhone 6s and after the latest update to the Ryanair app, it is practically unusable. Keeps crashing every few minutes. Ended up having to pay extra for my last flight, because due to the app crashing during checkout (twice), it reserved the seats I originally tried to book and when I booked the flight on my laptop, those two seats were gone and the ticket price had gone up by about 15£. Fix your useless app.

Had a really bad experience, the app crashed for many times, as well had to check-in 3 times before I finally got my boarding card!

The fact that you force me to download your app to get the mobile boarding pass, try to charge me extra for every single move, do not let me pick a seat for free and use dark design patterns on your site is horrible and makes me feel like I’m being taken advantage of.

Tried to check in for 5 times and couldn’t get past “add ID document” page. It just didn’t load. Trying to get my boarding pass at the airport took 10 mins because the app was so slow and kept crashing down. Restarted 3 times. It wasn’t because of slow connection either - I was on 4G.

Ryanair, go check which phone number formats are available in different countries and then do your form validation. Or just dont validate them. Was unable to enter my details as the app thinks that Estonian phone numbers must have 6-digits.
