Difficult to order
Very disappointing experience. While placing my order, the app repeatedly asked me to select my location on the map. Even after choosing the correct location multiple times, it kept showing errors such as "not near the store" and would not allow me to proceed. I spent more than 30–40 minutes trying again and again just to place a simple order. Eventually, the order was accepted, but the entire process was extremely frustrating and time-consuming. I had a very bad experience. Items with higher amounts are consistently being canceled, and the refunds are issued to the wallet instead of my card. Very disappointed with my recent order. I received an olive oil that is expiring on 23 May, which is very soon for a food product delivered today. Every time I use Deliveroo instead of Careem I regret it! They just don’t have any good customer service! I usually order fresh meat from a butcher and although they make my order ready within 20 minutes.. Deliveroos drivers never pick up on time or deliver on time. I’m disappointed with how Deliveroo manages allergy information. Even when allergens are clearly stated in the app, they are not communicated properly to restaurants. Customer service also says it’s the customer’s responsibility to call the restaurant directly, which defeats the purpose of using the platform. My order arrived with 2 out of 3 items completely missing. I reported via the app to then getting a refund not matching that of the missing items. I then asked customer service to cancel the whole thing for a full refund because the meal was kinda ruined, but they refused to help. They only refunded the missing items, basically giving no option but to keep the small portion of the order.
