Misleading Student Discount
Very disappointed with Qatar Airways Student Club. I applied the 10% student discount exactly as instructed for a flight yet the final fare stayed exactly the same. Advertising a discount that makes no visible difference in price feels misleading!! If certain routes or fare types are not actually eligible, this should be clearly stated during booking instead of making customers think the discount is being applied when it changes nothing.

This is technically for the website, not the app, but it's horrible. It constantly logs you out, and it showed me the price only in points. And only at the end, after I had bought the points, since you couldn't find out anything until then, did it show me that there was another $400 in fees!!!

Buggy and unusable with iOS 26 App crashes and freezes during login
The form to enter the one time pass does not display keyboard or key keypad, so the form is stuck in limbo, and you are unable to use the app as a logged in user. Quality control should try this app using the latest iOS and with a large font to reproduce this issue.

Not Professional
The day before my flight, I went through the app to select different seats for the flight and received a “Seat Request Confirmation” email from Qatar Airways. On the day of my flight, I was given boarding passes with the same original seats, and even after showing them the email confirmation of my new seat selection to the boarding counter, my request was refused and was not accommodated, and I was told instead that these changes are “not guaranteed”, which is ridiculous considering that the email instructed me to save it for my records. Tried to update my profile through the App and the website, each is throwing an inconclusive error. Worst UX experience on each; page scrolls up when you click the date calendar next to passport; . I will highly recommend QA to hire the team that did Korean Airlines app developers or at minimum hire a better QA team. Unsure how this app even passed Apple Store standards, extremely poor execution.

Very disappointing and unprofessional cargo handling experience. I shipped my cargo from Amman with Qatar Airways and paid the full amount there. After arrival at DFW, I was delayed for more than 4 hours, sent between different offices, and forced to pay additional undisclosed fees to other companies. Staff were unhelpful, unable to explain the process, and the online payment system was not working properly. I was even told my cargo would be delayed for days unless I paid again. I lost time, missed work, and paid hundreds of dollars extra with no prior notice. Completely unacceptable cargo

Bad travel experience ever, one of the passengers threw up on me and I have to clean mine and my kids seats. I maid no deal and waited long for help which never got. After the cleanup on seats I got only 1 seat offered for exchange which I would obviously have to reject as I couldn’t leave my 12year old to a different section of flight. I only got a pair of pajamas with Qatar branded. The co-passenger was so drunk and fell on our seat was injured i understand. I never made an issue of it, my clothes were dirty my shoes were dirty. Buggy and slow app
When I try to search for flights through the app, it often gets stuck on the loading page right after. Doesn’t timeout, and acts like it’s still searching for minutes, and you have to force-quit the app yourself. Also, flying from certain airports doesn’t allow Avios rewards flights. For example, IKA to LAX it keeps saying there is not a single reward booking available for any date at all. But when you call them, they have plenty of dates available. I called them to let them know about this issue over a year ago and they still haven’t solved it.

Usual bad experience with the app.
As always, the app of “world’s best airline” disappoints. Clunky not intuitive at all and after booking and paying for an upgrade I get a message saying there was a problem. The money got taken into qatar airways so I thought ok like last time my upgrade will be booked though. Called to check and no, no upgrade wait a few days for a refund! A few days to get money to me that the app took in seconds…. Issue one. Next issue I can see the price going up and as usual qatar airways as a company and the employees will not care.

Same Payment Error Every Time – Ticket Price Shoots Up
Every time I book with Qatar Airways, the same issue happens. Once I reach the payment page, it shows an error. When I try again a few seconds later, the ticket price increases by a few thousand riyals, sometimes around three thousand. We made sure it was the same seat, same class, and same fare type, so it’s not about availability or fare difference. If this happened once, I’d think it was a system update, but when it happens more than three times, it’s clearly not a coincidence. It’s really frustrating and feels unfair.

This app is basically useless for anything other than checking in for your flight and viewing your itinerary. You can’t change your seat without an error message. You can’t purchase add-ons without an error message. Most features are in grey such as adding extra baggage, selecting your meal for the flight and any other add-on. The app doesn’t even work. I can’t pull up my flight info, the most basic of features fail on this app every single time. I have to log into the desktop website to view my flight information and then it tells me to download the app to track my bags, yet the app won’t even pull up my info. It bugs out every time. Despite uploading and saving all travel documents when purchasing tickets, the app requests scanning each document every time we need to check-in for a flight. That’s 3 times for a round trip flight! Doesn’t allow copy paste of booking reference number. Same with their website. And everything is super slow from USA. And what is the deal with this OTP? Jeeze, literally, I have to enter OTP 5 to 10 times to get anything at all done. I can show you my emails as proof. Once you secure a browser or app, you do not need to ask for OTP over and over again. Everything was designed by amateurs or college kids, IMO. Please, please, seek some professional help. Refunded only 69.5 usd on a 1244 usd ticket
I have travelled so frequently with Qatar airways that i write this review with a very heavy heart. The cancellation fee was only 135 usd according to my fare rules. They refused to provide me the breakdown multiple times. Even after complaining multiple times from the past few months on call, email and live chat and receiving no substantial response, i have to say i am very disappointed with the service and i dont think i will ever travel with Qatar airways again.
