Charged for an unauthorized glitch—Support refuses to help
I am deeply disappointed and feel completely scammed by TodayTix. I attempted to purchase tickets, but the app threw an error message and did not confirm the order. Naturally, I assumed the transaction failed. Hours later, I realized I was charged. Apparently, the system pushed the payment through anyway, and the confirmation email was sent straight to my junk folder. When I reached out to customer support to explain that their app glitched and forced an unauthorized transaction, they completely deflected responsibility, telling me I am liable for the purchase. I can’t say enough about, and sing their praises any stronger, regarding the Customer Service department of TodayTix. I recently purchased tickets through TodayTix for a Broadway show and unfortunately was unable to attend the show due to an unexpected emergency situation which occurred on the day of the production. This is a very engaging play. The author lives in the same neighborhood that I do. It is about a neighborhood association. Recognizing many of the people. I wonder if he kept a microphone running through one of the neighborhood association and made a play based on this. The audience enjoyed the show. I had one complaint. The sound system was incredibly loud. They were playing hip-hop music at 110 dB when I walked into the theater. This was very unpleasant and unnecessary. It added nothing to the experience. Otherwise, the show was outstanding.

Think you can’t afford theater?
I don’t have a lot of money, so when I plan a trip to New York, I check all the sites to find the best prices and the easiest way to get tickets. This is the app I use regularly. I rarely leave reviews of apps, but this one has made me angry. I don't understand why viewing the tickets I purchased is buried so deeply in the menu options. I was frustrated by the "select a location" requirement, which wouldn't let me select "use my location" because there aren't shows playing here but also wouldn't let me move on until I had selected a location where shows were playing. I didn't want to tell the app about what kind of shows I'm interested in, which was the next step, also not skippable. I just wanted to view my tickets. I see a lot of shows, usually 3-4 a month, and buy 99% of my tickets on TodayTix bc the prices and fees are THE BEST! They offer deals, advanced tickets, rush tickets, and lotteries! The name is misleading bc you can buy tickets in advanced for many broadway, off broadway and off off broadway shows, it’s not just for same day shows. You can’t usually pick your seats but they mean it when they say ‘best available’, I have never been disappointed by my seats.

Disappointment w/TT
I needed 4 tix for my family to attend a show, and I wanted to get the least expensive seats. TT showed none together in the section I wanted. But when I searched for 2, there were two sets of 2 a seat apart. I bought 2, completed the purchase, and went back to the app to buy the other two and I was blocked. I probably should have called customer service, but, my son was able to buy the remaining two seats. I’m sure TT has a reason for this, but in the moment, it was frustrating.

Misleading discount offers, annoying alerts
Overall a good app and a trustworthy way to buy tickets. Always compare the prices here to the prices from the show’s official box office, because often what they claim is a “discount” is the same as or higher than the prices you’ll pay if you buy directly from the venue. Also, if you turn on alerts for sales and discounts, the alert you get won’t tell you what it’s alerting you to, just that you have an alert from TodayTix, so there’s no way to know whether it’s an alert you actually care about or just spam.

I have had the best experience with Today Tix customer service. On a holiday weekend I reached a sane, intelligent, competent person immediately . This app is just awful. I keep getting locked out of it, I keep changing the password, it doesn’t show tickets that I’ve already bought. It is now less than 24 hours before the show that I bought. TodayTix totally screwed me over. Weeks ago I bought two tickets for a show tonight (Oh, Mary!) and they never delivered the tickets. I have just spent hours trying to contact them to find out where the tickets were and they made it totally impossible to reach a human being. I just reached their chat bot that responded they would get to me within four business days. I called the Schubert Organization, I called American Express. No one could help. Love this app!
This app is fantastic! Makes getting tickets across several states so simple. All of your tickets are kept safe in one place, love that! The only thing I wish they would change is that the app doesn’t keep track of your gift card balance. I always ask for TT gift cards for special occasions, but there isn’t currently a way to save the gift card balance in the app to use it at a later date. Instead you have to keep track of the gc number to use @ checkout. Even more tedious, you have to keep track of your own balance (if you don’t spend the full amount) & then re-input the gc number to use the

Not always reliable
I used the app a lot and it has been good for the most part. However the last two purchases were a bit rocky. First one I purchased tickets with an obstructed view and I did not see at all where it was disclosed (now I know… after experiencing the obstruction in the show!). Second the purchase failed twice (I think there is some lag in seats that were sold already) and in the chaos of reselecting the seats I got a higher price and made a mistake. Anyways I got to see some nice shows and it is convenient to see all the offering at once.

Disappointed and Baffled by a Glitchy Experience
I was really looking forward to seeing “Real Women Have Curves” on Broadway, which was a fantastic show. However, my tickets on the app simply refused to open. I have multiple screenshots showing the glitch. To top it off getting a hold of customer service on this app has been extremely difficult. Instead, I kept getting a confusing message saying something like, “Your tickets will be available for download in an hour”—this was just an hour before showtime. Was very good until I had to update; can’t get my tickets
I can longer see upcoming shows or past shows and can’t get my tickets!!! I had an old iPhone and the app went from working one day to not working the next day due to them stopping support for that version of IOS. I love the simplicity and ease of the App. I am able to tag shows to my Wishlist whether TodayTix has tickets or not. Also, once I decide to see a show, I am given the choice of letting the App select my seat or choosing a seat myself. The reminders are great. They can either be via email or text. And, you can choose shows in different Cities. I was able to purchase a West End ticket in USD. No need for currency conversion. It was actually preferred by TodayTix. I received my tickets to see Shucked 12 hours prior to the show. Not only did I save the tickets on my phone I printed out the tickets as well. When we arrived at the theater the tickets could not be validated on my phone or hard copy. This was very embarrassing as well as stressful. Finally the box office investigated the issue and printed out two tickets which allowed us to see the show. I use this app all the time
I had a great review written out, then App Store deleted it. Suffice it to say, I use this app pretty regularly, and I really enjoy it! Broadway and Off Broadway is always pretty expensive, but given that, the prices and selection are usually really good, and I especially appreciate that many shows have an add-on to make tickets refundable. I think it’d be really neat if tickets were available in your Lock Screen right before a show, the way that airlines like Delta do with boarding passes. Then I wouldn’t be scrambling to pull it up when I get to the front of the line!

Not sure about refund policy
I use today tix frequently and am happy with selection of shows, tickets and prices. I recently had to cancel my tickets about 2 days before a performance. I was told I had 2 options-1) cancel for 80% of ticket prices or 2) resell my tickets for up to 100% of what was paid for our tickets. I chose the former because I wasn’t sure if my tickets would sell. I get not being able to refund tickets with less than 24 hours before showtime. I don’t get why I would only get 80%.

Ordering tickets is easy and intuitive. Now that I’ve placed my order, TodayTix decided it’s okay to start sending me push marketing notifications than have nothing to do with my order. I can’t find any way to turn them off in the app. Had to turn them off in my IOS preferences, which is unfortunate because I’d be okay getting pushes about my order. It’s not a new account either. Placing an order somehow made them feel like they could start marketing to me. I bet there’s something buried in the small print, which would be offensive if true.

I tried to exchange tickets I purchased through TodayTix because my mother got a positive covid test and I didn’t want to endanger anyone. TodayTix has been terrible about it. I was not given the option to exchange my TodayTix tickets to Our Town, or offered a refund. I was only given the option of a voucher for 80% of my purchase price, or the ability to resell. Been using this app for years but probably will delete because of trash customer service reps. Had tickets to a show that got cancelled and then the show was uncancelled. Do not buy tickets through TodayTix!!
I bought tickets for the first time through TodayTix recently. I had very few concerns beforehand, as I thought this was a reputable company that wasn’t trying to scam customers. Boy, was I wrong. The lead act in the show I had tickets for cancelled the day-of due to illness. Such is life, and I was confident that TodayTix would allow either a guaranteed rescheduling of the show or a full refund, as this is what the theaters will do if the tickets are purchased through their website. No way to contact them with a problem
I’ve been using TodayTix for a long time now and twice there have been screw ups where we didn’t get our tickets before the show. There is no way to contact them like this in fact it’s very very difficult to find anyway to contact them ever for any reason. And you cannot call them that is literally impossible. We went to a show at the Cosm in Los Angeles and it was a long drive and a lot of hassle to get there.
