Best workout app
I love this app. I used the free one for almost a year and it’s a great tool for keeping track of weights and reps lifted well also keeping accountability of days.
I did upgrade to the paid version and I do like it as well. I’m doing a trial with one of their suggested ramp-up workouts. Some of the workouts are interesting to me and I do switch them out easily.
The things that are not perfect, are easily overlooked and they’re constantly improving the app so I have no doubt they will continue to perfect it.

Great workout tracker (but not a fan of some changes)
Been using this app to track and plan my workouts for years and it’s been great overall.
My main complaints are there’s a pattern of releasing updates that cause bugs (more thorough testing is needed). I’m also not particularly interested in the AI analytics and insights stuff and those things cause a lot of visual clutter in the app and it would be nice to hide them. I get AI is hot and they want me to use the feature but I have no interest in it and don’t want it popping up all over the place.

Whoever authorized this last release should take the time to reflect on their career choice. I raised some of these issues on your app contact sheet but due to your lack of responsiveness, let’s “air it all” in public.
- [ ] Swaps don’t work: one time out of three the app crashes, and when it does not crash, it stubbornly refuses to change the exercise and reverts to the original exercise.
- [ ] The audio does not match the exercises. You get instructions that have nothing to do with what you are supposed to do

It WAS a great app.
I have been a user of this app for many years now. Unfortunately, many of the features are being placed behind the pay wall. You can no longer use your smart watch. You have to pay to do that. And now, unfortunately, you cannot save exercises individually without paying to unlock this. To explain, when you save a certain weight and rep amount, it overrides all previous weights and reps for the same exercise in the routine. I’ve been using this app for about a month, and I’ve been enjoying it for the most part. It has a lot of great movements, and I can manually add in exercises they don’t. I also LOVE how cheap the premium version is. The main thing it lacks, other than some exercises, are equipment. They don’t include resistance bands( other than tube bands) which means you to manually enter notes for specific exercises that require resistance bands. This also makes it a little hard to track physical therapy exercise progress.

The app is not intuitive AT ALL and makes it so confusing to change exercises—it’ll list a machine that my gym doesn’t have week after week, even after I delete it and substitute something else. Best workout app, get the paid version
This workout not only is amazing for finding new exercises by muscle group, you can customize your own. I do BJJ and have solo drills added in here for after my lifting sessions. It gives you fun comparisons (saying you lifted X amount of trucks, or trees during the holidays). I recommend this to anyone at any level of their fitness journey. Great for beginners that need assistance with routines, and great for advanced users looking to have a place to replace the mildew notebook we’ve all sweat on when trying to get a PR.

Love the Data
I love working out without having to think about what to do. JEFIT designs a program and makes sure I have a balanced workout week.
I LOVE data. I’m still trying to figure out what all the data points mean and how to use them. There is a lot of information on the data, but I do wish there were more tutorials on HOW to use the data and what to do in future workouts to stay on track.
Overall, this is such a game changer for me. I have always been a runner, and never really liked doing much with weights, but the JeFit app makes it so easy.

Very good app. A lot of helpful features and good workouts. One thing that is silly is that it looks at your workouts for the week and the radar graph looks at only a narrow window of time. For instance, it’s Monday Jefit only looks at vertical and horizontal push/pull, squats, and hinge since Sunday. How about looking at a timeframe of two weeks or more? After sticking to a different app/program for a bit, I needed to change it up. Enter Jefit. I got a great price on my first year so why not?! This is completely worth the money. This app is incredible. My key favorite features- Huge searchable library of different workouts per muscle group. For whenever you have no idea what u wanna workout that day. Video demonstrations of every workout so you know you are doing it right. Keeps weight that you did last time loaded on your chosen exercise. Logs all of your stats in crazy details- durations, PRs, muscles worked most and least. 10/10. Great, but needs a circuit feature!
Love this app! I pay for premium and love the ability to create custom moves and swap exercises mid workout. The insights page is great too. The app is super flexible, and I find it works to fit my routine, and not the other way around. HOWEVER, the Achilles heel of this app is no circuit feature. Currently you have to superset and duplicate exercises in sequential order to mimic a circuit. But I would love a feature that lets me group a set up exercises together, then just set it to a circuit and put how many times I want to repeat it. Add that and it’s a 5 star for me!

There's not a lot of Jim workout apps that I found to be as flexible. I've been using the free version for the longest time, but as I take myself more seriously in the gym and proving through other apps, I stuck with the one that gave me the most flexibility, while providing some really cool features, which is what premium purchasing the subscription for a year, which is pretty reasonably priced. Great for beginners
I have only had the app for a few days but so far it’s perfect for someone like me that doesn’t know much about working out. It offers a variety of different exercises to give you a full range workout. You can also customize your own workout plan. Without the app I wasn’t sure how much rest time I needed or how many workouts I should be doing but it keeps track of all that for me. I’ve been using JEFIT for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best workout apps I’ve tried. I had a friend who was training me in My first ever workout in 2016 tell me to download it, I’ve been using it ever since. There’s been improvements since then but I love that you can spend iron points earned on premium features. Updates screwed up note saving function
So I’ve used Jefit for going on 10+ years now since I was 16. I’m 27 now. The app is simple as I’ve been able to create my own exercises (granted there’s a max capacity on that) and track my cardio into progress notes. However, since the update I can no longer create free standing notes on any given day. I can only create notes tied to a specific exercise and workout which I feel is a step backwards. I like to make notes on how my workout was, what cardio I did thats not in Jefit, or how my mood was. If you bring that function back, this app is a 4.5/5 for me.

Similar to many users who have experienced similar frustration with the latest update, I would refrain from updating to the latest update. This app when it first came out was amazing, having an exercise database that outshined just about every other app out there. But over time they have put out various updates - mostly from an interaction design standpoint - that leave a lot to be desired. Until recently this was my favorite fitness app, you could program workouts, and still record workouts that you did on the fly! Now this is not as easy, with the last update they removed many of the features that made this app worth while. One I can think of top of mind is the Workout stream that compared you with your friends on the app, and added game-a-facation. When I was deciding which fitness app to purchase, I looked for one that was not designed only for men. This means models or demonstrations of exercises also are done by women, not just men. Removed ability to change number of sets for an exercise
I’ve been using this app for many years, and have enjoyed it until recently. The most recent update removed the ability to change the number of sets for an exercise. Before, you could edit and add or remove how ever many sets you wanted. Now, you can only add them to an existing routine. I’m now forced to recreate my entire routine on a separate tab with the correct number of sets needed. This is extremely tedious and not user friendly, especially when that functionality had been there previously for years.

Used to be a great app. Was able to create my daily and weekly routine with exercises and sets that I wanted and challenged myself to do. They implemented a rest timer between each set that can’t be turned off. You have to turn it off every workout. Nobody records their workout between every set. You would be on your phone the entire workout like a clown. I record my sets after completing them. After many support messages, they just won’t fix it. I purchased this to give myself more customization ability for workouts. However there are numerous bugs. It does not allow me to create “12,8,6,4” etc type rep ranges for multiple sets without hitting “Apply to all” and then it changes every other lift except the one I actually wanted it to stick too. Default seems to be 8 reps but I changed a few and saved it as a workout. Today I did my first workout and I only realized at the end it did not transfer the reps I previously created. Ad Packed, but reasonably usable
I work out 5-6 times weekly, most of these workouts highly structured and planned. I am an endurance athlete and have used multiple coaches, AI driven protocols, and work in healthcare and follow several exercise podcasts.
This app is good but if you try to use it for free, it is a bit frustrating with all the ads and pay walls. I have tried a few others including cycling specific coach driven strength workouts. I will likely stick with this for now. It does filter by equipment available well. If there was a better level of free workout routines, I would rate it higher.
