So i had made a reservation on the website and after making a complete purchase/reservation i was prompted to download the app and create a profile and my reservation will be easier to keep track of. So i did create an account and verified everything on the app but my reservation never showed up. If you ever need to cancel, be sure to take screenshots to record every activity because if you don’t, they will just keep your money.

I have to leave a review on the app because Turo “doesn’t allow guests with cancelations to leave reviews.” The app works fine, it’s the customer service department that’s horrendous. If I could leave zero stars I would, but I have to leave at least one.

As far as a benefit to consumers, this is a good service. But as a fair business practice, I would say it fails. I have rented from Turo. Just recently I booked a cargo van to bring my daughter back from college in. I book a month ahead. Two days before the guy cancelled it. MAF Intetprises. Not Interprises. Please optimize UX for clear final trip price
This is a great offering, however the UX still requires a lot of work. It takes several steps to get to a point where you can see what the total price for the trip will be, despite already having put in all of the metrics for the search. If you favourite several cars to a list, on reviewing that list you are not provided any helpful details to have an added a glance comparison, such as the price.. You then have to click into and go through the path to see the final price for each of them in order to assess… Nor does it let you see your favourites on a map to assess for distance.

If you a customer is great you can smoke and peoples cars, Turo will always side the customer. If you are a host it is terrible if a customer doesn’t leave a review it goes as a zero, it is impossible to get every customer to leave a review, if the weather changes for example come from Vegas to Colorado in winter months, tire pressure will go off as the temperature changes if a customer leaves anything below a 4 starts over the weather changes and changing the psi on a tire it goes against you. This is such a great idea. I’ve actually used Turo for years now and when I need to rent a car this is always how I do it. I use not had a bad experience yet. I think it’s fun to borrow other people’s cars. It’s a much more personal experience (if you want or need it to be) but also a very hands off experience (if you want or need it to be). I called to close my account after I had an EXTREMELY negative experience which I TOLERATED from GenX autos, which was not Turos fault INITIALLY. GenX in Dallas, TX charged me north of 800 dollars for their Porsche Macan. At that price, it’s expected that the car is in at least OK condition. Nope. These Turo rental cars are a joke! I just spent three weeks in Cape Coral, Florida and I picked up the car at Fort Myers airport/RSW short term parking lot around 5 PM. This was my first trip with Turo. The pick up was as easy as I was told it was the keys were placed on one of the tires. I took pictures and besides low windshield wiper fluid and tire pressure and a little bit of cleanliness it was on all an amazing trip. Lost my business.
I have used this app a few times throughout the years. In general, I have had no problem whatsoever. Just recently, I had taken a trip to Vegas and experience an extremely frustrating situation.
Long story short, I was charged for gasoline that I did not use after the entire trip was completed ended and (regretfully) I had even already given a 5 star review to the host. I also learned from the company that once you have given a review it CANNOT BE EDITED OR CHANGE (funny, i’m sure if I left a 1 star review it could have been changed in a few keystrokes).

Bogus charges
So it was my first time using the app I rented the vehicle for a week. I had noticed that the vehicle had issues with the suspension so I had messaged the host telling him that there were issues with his suspension and he messaged me back saying that he had just fixed it three months ago upon dropping off the vehicle. I was once a very profitable power host, then because of new hosts that didn’t follow the rules, they implemented a ratings system for users that allowed them to rate on too specific items such as cleanliness, seat stains and maintenance. Will probably never use Turo again.
The vehicle we used and the host we used was GREAT!!!! Previous to this vehicle, we had another vehicle booked several months in advance to our trip. The host of that vehicle was extremely nice and helpful with anything we needed!! A few weeks before our trip, that host called us and said he got a newer vehicle and wanted to make sure it was okay with us rather than it being a surprise that it was a different vehicle we’d be using which was super nice he did that! Through the process of him upgrading all of the info, Turo cancelled our reservation and someone else booked for that same time as

Things to keep in mind that are very important
You ever notice that Joe blow can park at the airport for free but Turo charges upwards of $70 just to be allowed to park at the airport. Also, did you notice the airport charges its own fee to park at the airport for every minute? At the same time, I’m not looking for a Sam’s Club membership that allows me to walk in so I can purchase the items. I told the numerous supervisors and representatives that I chatted with and or talk to on the phone with that I’m not having the car parked at the airport. They are picking me up out front, which is a free service. I was told the fee was going to stay
