I used Turo for the first time this past weekend. I was a little skeptical of a peer to peer rental car service, but all seemed to go very well till the end of the trip. The Turo host gave us a 5 star then urged us to do the same for her. Fast forward to the next day, I receive an email about a smoking fee and pictures of ash in the car that couldn’t have been us. This meant that the Turo host went back and planted the ash to scam a fee so they could have a bit more to pocket.
