Description

The official app of Allegiant Travel & Allegiant Airlines. Book your vacation online at www.allegiantair.com, then use this app to make the most of your trip. Passengers can follow their trip on a card-by-card basis in the app. Each phase in the trip is represented as a card in a timeline of the whole journey. Just tap on the cards and follow the instructions to manage the trip, check in for the flight, display the boarding pass and get departure and arrival information. You can also book your flights via the app. Passengers can also: • Access and review upcoming trips. • Automatically download trips onto their mobile phone if logged into their My Allegiant account. • View and add seats, purchase bags and upgrade to Priority Boarding. • Receive important flight status notifications • Take advantage of a variety of self-service functions • Provide feedback about their Allegiant experience Using the Allegiant mobile app can save passengers money and will allow them to zip through the airport without ever printing a single piece of paper.

Worst Flight App Out There
This is the most frustrating app ever. Whenever you “log in” to your account, it sends you to an external web browser. And every time I try to add in my existing flight number to get access to my boarding passes, it says “an unexpected error has occurred”. I have deleted and redownloaded the app, I have restarted and updated my phone, nothing is working. So unfortunately I’m going to have to fly with printed boarding passes this time because Allegiant still refuses to update their app interface. If I could give it a zero I would.

Problems with APP
It used to be a lot easier to check in on line. Now you need to jump through hoops and figure out a maze of possibilities to check in, and even then you can’t get what you wanted. Technology is supposed to make things easier. This App and its updates and changes just makes it harder and less user friendly. Shame on you, and the developers of this broken app. Thumbs down.

The app is pointless
I have this app, but every time you log into it, it takes you to the webpage on your phone. There is really no point to the app. Just log into the website. It’s what the app does anyway. Allegiant has been fine, but I fly Allegiant all the time and it never gives me points. I think they require you have their credit card to accumulate points. No other company does that so, it’s pointless as well.

Worthless app
This app is terrible. It fails to work even one out of 10 times, it won’t let you update your information, won’t let you check in, and won’t even let you view the status of your flight. And the most recent flight, I checked in on my laptop and was told at the gate that I still needed to check in on my phone. When I repeatedly tried to do so, and showed them that it didn’t work, I was forced to ask them to print boarding passes for me. What is the point of even having an app if it never works?

App Glitch Nickel & Dimes You
First off this is NOT like a regular airline, they do not allow carry on bags unless you pay a separate fee so buyer beware, because the app doesn’t allow you to add the bag despite what it says. It’s misleading to say the least, a terrible user experience at best. It has potential
I love Allegiant but we had to evacuate our hotel the day of and missed our flight. I tried to cancel through the app and couldn’t then we still went to the airport but the gate was already closed which was to be expected but nobody showed up for about 2 hours when the next flight was checking in. I had to book out of a different airport and pay full price instead of just transferring my tickets because that last plane out was almost full. Getting old?
My family has used this several times of the years also. But the last couple of times it keeps getting stuck, just spinning, and it’s like I have to log back in multiple times just for even the check-in. I have to go through every single step. I have literally been trying to login for my flight today for 11 minutes and it’s used over 8% of my battery life. An app is supposed to be a convenience, not a burden.

Every flight (every 3-6 months) requires an update of this app in the IPhone 12.
The difficulty in use is that check on for each flight requires an update of the app. Other phones do not have to do this. However, they frequently lose TSA status and have to have it corrected at the counter. The update requires detailed review of already confirmed information in order to get a boarding pass. Effectively, I get to set up the revised app and check in twice per flight.

Unusable beyond boarding passes
I was able to get my boarding passes but everything else doesn’t work. I get a constant stream of “unable to update information” errors when I try to do anything or even just opening the app. I’m unable to update details of my trip. Just errors. The boarding passes are slow to load. I have to click each one to add to my wallet. And they don’t even pop up when it’s time for the flight. Other airlines have the pass integration totally smooth.

Last year I had one of the best experiences flying with Allegiant. Everything was smooth and affordable, which is why I chose to fly with them again. Unfortunately, this year has been the complete opposite. Allegiant changed flights from Des Moines, IA to Jacksonville, FL and pushed availability all the way to June, with no reasonable alternatives. Never had a problem with the app
My spouse and I frequently fly Allegiant and therefore use the app quite a bit. I think it’s easy to navigate, simple to use and we’ve never encountered any issues with the app specifically. We take a screenshot of our boarding pass so we don’t have a problem pulling it up at the gate. Not sure why so many people on here seem to have issues, but I hope they all get straightened out.

Can't sign in & no tech support
On both the app and the website, I cannot sign in. I have reset my password at least four times today. I get an email confirmation that my password has been successfully reset, but the screen in the app and online does not show a confirmation that you've updated your password. Needs support to add flight info to calendar
App is pretty easy to book flights which I love yet after booking a flight I can never get the flight info easily ported to my calendar. There should be a. One click add to calendar option. Nothing like downloading an app to log in and being routed to the website. The website already being a struggle bus and pain to deal with from the start. I had to refresh 3 times to book my flight. Then after downloading the recommended app it still needs the broken website login to function. You guys REALLY need a complete overhaul on your app. Just trying to check in and download boarding passes will toss you back and forth between the app and the website like 7 times. And that would be tolerable if it actually took you to the proper page/screen. What does this do?
I don’t know what benefit I get from this app aside from the fact that Allegiant requires me to use it. It doesn’t keep me permanently logged into my account, it doesn’t sync to my Allegiant miles (I have lost some by booking through the app), it doesn’t let me check into my flight that I bought through the app without putting in my information in. Why have it?? I have asked people at the Allegiant counter, “How can I make sure points from this trip are reflected in the app?” They do not know. Boarding Pass Fiasco
I fly Allegiant regularly and they have the most God-awful website when it comes to getting a boarding pass on your phone. Again today I tried repeatedly, deleted and reloaded the app and was unable to get a mobile boarding pass. When I hit the “View Boarding Pass” button it only allows me to see the version to print a hard copy. This happens more often than not and I have no idea why this problem hasn’t been corrected. Update: I reinstalled and that fixed part of the problem. Clicking on “My Account” still redirects to the website. P.S. Someone complained that they could not change their Enterprise rental after booking through the app. I rented from Alamo (an Enterprise Holdings company) through the Allegiant website and the problem I had was that the pickup time somehow was set up for the prior day. Stinks
Can’t pull up boarding pass and will not have access to print return flight. So, they will charge me $5 to hit a button and print at the airport. Really. When I try to download my boarding pass it takes me to a screen that says to upload the app. Just a big circle from screen to screen. Can never actually pull up boarding pass. Be careful with this Airline
The app is fine for checking in online to get your ticket. But Allegiant design their booking process to try and get you to add on extras that you don’t need, so just scroll down and press ‘continue’ to find out that you don’t actually have to pick a specific seat and pay extra fees both on departing and returning. This is a budget airline with no thrills, and you can expect a LOT of flights to be delayed.

Rarely works correctly-NOT AN APP
Allegiant constantly refers passengers to the app as their customer service reps are nonexistent - but the app rarely works to make, change or confirm flights. If you bundle your seat/luggage/priority, you cannot use the app to change your flight and you have to spend hours on hold to reach the very few customer service reps. The app constantly freezes up and has to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Finally - it doesn’t function as a freestanding app, but rather as a shortcut to the website. What’s the point??

Needs a lot more work
I don’t often write reviews but I feel compelled to throw this out there. This app needs a lot of work to make it work as it should or get rid of it. The iOS app needs to allow a fully functional mobile experience that you get from the web app. If Allegiant would focus on the function of mobile airline ticket management and less on “up-selling” it might actually work properly. Anything you need to do redirects you to the web anyway so why the phone app?!? The app won’t sign you in properly so it redirects you to the web, then once you finally get signed in, you can manage your account. This ma

Customer service over the phone
If I could give less than one star I would. Probably one of the worst customer service representatives I’ve ever dealt with in any industry. Was rude and disrespectful when asking simple questions. “Hung up on me by placing me on hold, then when he came back said oh you’re still there. Wouldn’t give his name or I’d nor transfer me to someone else I could work with nor a supervisor. Literally went online and did his job by changing my flight myself. This person/team drastically needs re-training or letting go. If I didn’t NEED to be on this flight to see a dying relative I would have canceled a

“Error loading”
First flight with Allegiant, originally chosen because it was a direct flight to Las Vegas. Delays began rolling in about 3 hours before the flight. The app then started giving an error loading flight message and did not keep up with accurate delay information. The flight was then cancelled and rescheduled for late the following afternoon cutting a full day off of vacation. We were given $100 credit towards our next Allegiant flight for this which I doubt we will willingly choose to risk our vacation with Allegiant again.

Worst airline & terrible app
Allegiant is absolutely a terrible airline for many reasons. However this review is to cover my most recent expereience (all have been disappointing). My flight has been delayed 5 times with no explanation. Customer service is rude and unwilling to provide a solution or answer questions. I highly suggest paying a bit more for a reputable company & not wasting your time waiting at an airport. Time is very valuable as it’s the only thing we cannot get back on this world. STAY AWAY FROM ALLEGIANT!!

Great Airline.. Not Great App…
While I enjoy Allegiant Airlines- their app is less than desirable. It is very slow to respond and always takes you away from the app and directs you to the internet- where I have to enter my log in credentials every single time… even though I have clicked their “save my log I “ for future. Honestly- it is the incredible lag in time from when you click on something for it to load that drives me nuts. I travel a lot- and the other airlines out there have a way better app. Allegiant. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel… just do what the other guys are doing and make a great customer experienc
