I got my Cricut last April, and it worked perfectly. I think it’s insane that a $400 machine doesn’t come with all the tools required for use, but whatever. I coughed up $10 for the monthly subscription, as the base subscription is practically useless for fonts and images. Expect lots of AI generated pictures when looking for what you need! After you spend an immense amount of time perfecting your mat for multiple colors, it at random decides to shuffle the placement of your vinyl cutouts, but here the thing, there's NO reason for it and it's at random even though it fits the mat perfectly I'd totally get it if turned red on the final page but no, it destroys the whole thing!!!!. Hopefully you don’t plan on creating your own designs outside of the Cricut app. If you don’t pay the monthly subscription, design space purposely will mess up little details of your designs. This is so disheartening because I saved up for this machine for myself to FINALLY simplify some of my life/workload, and the app is just terrible. Every time I try to report or let the design space team know there’s an issue. It never let’s get to anywhere that is useful. So hopefully writing a review will get somebody to reply or fix it. I have it on my iPad and have had constant issues with it. I had some projects “saved on my device” instead of the cloud and all of a sudden those wouldn’t open to edit. They could still be sent to the printer but I couldn’t change anything or adjust where they were saved so now they’re just lost since I got a new iPad. It also constantly disconnects from my device. As the title says, I’ve used this app for 3 years now. I’ve had this app on two phones and two tablets, and the bugs are on every device I’ve tried, so it’s definitely an issue in the app. While the app is feature rich and a lot of fun, it’s never been without its big flaws. One ongoing flaw that never seems to get fixed is that the app freezes up when you use it for too long, or do too many changes to your project. Projects don’t take long enough for there to be any need of a Push Notification, so turn them off or this app will relentlessly spam you with overly needy Notifications. My app just crashes
I’ve been trying to make something for a friend who wants to give something for Mother’s Day but unfortunately my Cricut maker keeps crashing and with my busy schedule I can’t continue to keep trying over and over again, I just spent 3 hours of my life that I should’ve been using for more important things but because the app keeps crashing it isn’t working. A few times I got it to load onto the mat but once I click the go button the app just shuts down and I have to start everything over again every single time. Please fix the app, I can’t waste my time doing my designs over and over again. T

Machine is good, Design space is not
I have had my explore air for about 10 years. I had the original one before that and loaded all the cartridges purchased to my explore air. I no longer have the original one nor any of the cartridges, and now it wants me to repurchase everything and pay for the design space. I do not craft as much as I would like or as often as I would like. But when I do have time it’s extremely frustrating to make me repurchase something I already paid for. If I had the time it might would be worth paying for the design access but I don’t have time nor want to waist money on something I might use a few times

Worst design app I’ve ever used
This design app is the worst app I’ve ever used. It doesn’t import fonts properly. When I try to flatten a project, it says it’s still not flattened. When I move from the design space screen to the cut screen, it moves all of my pieces around. In order to change the font, I have to click on it, then double click. Then press done, and THEN the font button shows up. Same thing if I want to delete it. Additionally, the fonts aren’t even pretty. I tried to import one font but it won’t work. And now I have to download the font on my laptop forever because it won’t permanently download to cricut?! I

So I have had design space and a circuit for like 2-3 yrs now and now my design space everytime I open it it just quits on me and goes back to home. I used to really love the design space worked and the cut settings it had for each material and every time u update the app something else doesn’t work right. Needs a lot of work.
I have been with cricut for 7 years. Started as a hobby that I’ve now turned into something that allows me to be home with my kids and still pay the bills. Well, it used to. The past few months it seems I’ve had more and more inconsistent work when using design space. Between the glitches and unreliable software, what should take me 30 minutes ends up taking hours. My Cricut is my oxytocin go to.
I got my first Cricut for Christmas 2020 from my husband. I had mentioned I wanted one a couple times after seeing some crafty YouTubers use them. But OH THE JOY I felt when I ripped the wrapping paper off and saw the pretty Cricut box shining back at me. I had a shiny new mint explore air 2. That intimidation was there for a week or so - but once I opened her up and followed the VERY simple start up instructions- in which they basically do hold your hand as best they can- I was hooked! App barely functions & subscription is disappointing
I did lots of research on this product and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive on both the app and the product. However, this is not what I expected at all. The app is incredibly glitchy regularly crashing, lagging, glitching, or just refusing to load. My phone is not old, there is plenty of storage, and my WiFi is fine however these problems persist. For the price of these machines the subscription is already disappointing but it gets worse. How is anyone leaving a good review about the app
The actual cricut machine is awesome, the cricut app is actually hand down the worst design app Ive ever dealt with. If it decides to load when I get on it, I have constant issues with the absolute insane amount of restraints on everything. Extremely clunky app, insanely slow, zero options to save space on my vinyl sheets. The app wants to have 3 inches of safe room on each side of the sticker boundary??? Also can’t make any sort of sticker bigger than 11 x 8 inches. Great use of $400 so glad I bought one. Go to work on a project you had saved previously? 50/50 chance it deletes it when it ask

2 months of not being able to use my circuit because of design space flaws
Updated: It has now been 3 months of not being able to use my Cricut maker 3 at all with my IOS devices. I was able to borrow a windows laptop and confirm that it is not my Cricut machine that is the problem the machine works correctly with a windows laptop. I called customer service again and they said it was probably my iPad Pro that was the issue. I completely reinstall my OS to see if there was a corruption in an apple upgrade to make sure but am still encountering the very same issue. Proprietorial software that means you pay for it with the purchase of the machine. They then want want you to subscribe to Cricut access in order to do anything but the simplest child like of projects. They are now limiting the functionality of the machines by also making that a part of Access subscription. JUNK!! Update #14 and the eraser select wand for IOS is STILL UNUSABLE!!! The Design Space app is WORTHLESS!!! For 3 months I haven’t been able to edit anything!!
