Dyson VisNav 360 IS AWFUL
There are major problems with this app, and in over two years, Dyson is refusing to update the app so it’s actually functional. The vacuum works okay if your house is completely rectangular, but if you have a diagonal island or a diagonal wall, forget about it. Every other competitor to Dyson will allow you to set a diagonal wall divider, but when I asked Dyson when and if they would be adding this feature, they told me that as a customer, I have zero right to know when OR IF they are going to make any changes to their app. So I’m stuck with a $1300 vacuum that can’t vacuum my house because ou

We already owned 2 Dyson vacuums when we purchased this one. We had a cordless and a corded one.
I can say that I’m so pleased with this purchase! We have a dog, 10 grandchildren so we have lots of activity. This vacuum gets our floors cleaner than the others. We love it and highly recommend it!

Terrible robot vacuum mapping UI
You can only split rooms a certain way based on mapping which is fine but makes it extremely difficult to fine tune it to get the short hallway leading into the bedroom to be actually part of the hallway zone so it can get mopped. Or if it lets you split something there’s a 50/50 chance it creates a ghost zone with a label you can’t select because it doesn’t visually show a box and that’s the only thing you can click on to select a space to merge and have to play around with splitting forever and hope it decides to show the ghost space so you can finally merge it back, assuming it does that at

Always losing WI-FI connection
Easy-to-follow interface & a great compliment for the included physical remote for the heater/fan/purifier. However, the app is ALWAYS losing wifi connectivity to the fans. ALL. THE. TIME. This is so frustrating. I could deal with this interruption if it were an occasional issue, but this is EVERY time i open the app to use the control functions. Based on other reviews i’ve read, this seems to have been an ongoing issue for quite sometime & i can’t understand how this hasn’t been addressed & fixed by now.

Robot problems
I have two robot vacuums from Dison and three normal vacuums from Dyson and one hairdryer from Dyson. This is the only product that I’m disappointed in. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to go back to its dock I have strong Wi-Fi. The robot is up-to-date. The room is not dark, but it takes forever. It easily gets hung up on items. I would recommend spend more time on the navigation aspect less time on the suction power.

The app claims this is to keep my stick vacuum software up to date. But it’s an upright floor vacuum…what software needs updating? The app provides no benefit for PencilVac owners other than showing the battery charge level (also shown on the vacuum’s screen) and the number of minutes you most recently spent vacuuming. You can’t even see the history of use. Feels like they are just trying to harvest and sell my private location data.

Humidifier new & faulty
Wishing the humidifier wired as well as the other air filters. I purchased a new water pump that worked for a week then malfunctioned again after doing all the things recommended by customer service. Feel lost here. At -40 F in Alaska, having reliable air is essential for health.

No DISTRESS notification!
There is NO distress notifications pushed to the iPhone when the robot needs assistance in order to enable distressed notifications on your iPhone. You actually have to listen to the sound of the robot running with your EARS at that point once you find out that you can’t hear your robot running step one immediately go to the app and see if it’s docked if it is not docked then you get up look around for the robot wherever it is and rescue the robot. Stop supporting older fan after updating app
I updated my app yesterday and immediately my fan lost connection. I tried manually and scan with camera to enter serial number, it said the model is not compatible with the app version. I can’t downgrade the app. Before updating the app, I usually connect my fan using WiFi and had no problem at all. I bought my fan in 2018 and had no issues until now. Are we stop supporting older model now???

Disappointed
Can’t believe that you can’t change the temperature through the app for such a price, my 70$ heater has that option but a 500$ doesn’t, I wanted something fancy to keep my exotic birds warm, but their device won’t keep proper temperature that was set for them, my 3 temp gauges show that device is of by 5 degrees Fahrenheit, good thing I have a camera when I’m working night shifts I can check the temp, the device was set to 72f was showing the room temp at 70f but my 3 gages was showing 65, thats the lowest temp my birds can handle, good thing I have a trustworthy neighbor had to wake him up to

Usually works
I use the app with a Dyson Robot vacuum. It usually works OK; but about 15% of the time the app/robot gets stuck “preparing “ and doesn’t actually go. The only way I have found out of that is to power the machine off and on again.
The restricted areas aren’t very precise, and so the robot often messes with our pet food & water bowls even though it shouldn’t.
The vac frequently gets stuck or loses its location… all of which is frustrating for something expensive that’s supposed to make life easier.
Also: it says it works with Alexa, but I haven’t gotten it to, and I’m pretty tech savvy.

Works well and offers useful information about Dyson products. Also use for Dyson Smart vacuum to map and program scheduled cleanings. In these regard it works well enough.
Lacks features for a 5 star rating. Like Apple home connection to program lighting with scheduled cleanings. For example Turing on lights in rooms the vacuums is cleaning in and turning them off after the vacuums moves on would be very helpful. Would also like to use motion sensors to program fans to turn on and off but again lacking any kind of HomeKit connection gives no option to program any such options.

New Airwrap doesn’t connect with the Dyson app
I’ve reinstalled and updated the Dyson app and I still do not see my brand new Airwrap with compatible Bluetooth function to show on the MyDyson app. What are the developers doing to address this? I can’t use the cool shot feature of the Airwrap due to this issue. This is why some products are better without the Bluetooth function. The price point of the Airwrap is too expensive for it to not work because of an App failure. I’m extremely disappointed with Dyson’s decision to make a hair styler have Bluetooth. Please fix this! I want to use the Airwrap with the cool shot feature!

Slow subterfuge
**I have only used this app with the Dyson OnTrac Headphones**
This app is a mess. It serves more purpose as an ad for other Dyson products than it does for actually using the products I have. Switching between devices using the app takes just as long as manually turning the headphones on and then off to connect them to a new device does. It doesn’t help that half the time getting the app to even display what device the headphones are connected to takes multiple minutes of watching a poorly designed throbber spinning on screen. Can’t register new product without
I own many great Dyson products, and I have taken the time to register them through the years. It would be great to easily see accessories or replacement parts and warranty info. Now they have the app, I was able to login, similar to website but now it requires access to all my Bluetooth items. No chance to log in to Dyson app
Hi. I recently became an owner of the new Dyson multi-styler and downloaded the app. When i open it and click any button (new owner or log in) there’s always technical problems “sorry we can’t connect to the Dyson network. We’re working to fix this.” And it lasts for 6 months already. I tried to update to the latest versions, to re-download the app. I tried do log in on different countries, still same problem.

I have the Dyson hair wrap. My chinchilla had fallen into my toilet when he was running around and his coat is made in a way where it cannot be wet. I was obviously very scared when this happened but thanks to the Dyson hair dryer I was able to dry his coat without scaring him or stressing him out since the Dyson has a setting where it is low power and the air temp can be cool. Hair drier
This is my second dryer that has a problem, and now this last one has the same problem of stopping when I'm drying my hair and not lasting even 20 minutes. I sent it to support and I didn't receive any message, no call, the tracking number didn't appear at all, after trying to call and say what was happening and that my dryer had not arrived yet and it had been 2 months. They said that it was delivered, since it was to the wrong address, my old address and when I called I asked to change the address and the attendant said that it had been changed.

Abysmal robot VisNav vacuum controls
Zero app & navigation effort for robot vacuums. Zones are useless because the robot cannot reliably navigate to the zones through open doorways. The robot is abysmal at finding its way back to the docking station even when placed in very close proximity. You can’t directly manipulate the robot from app to tell it to go home or manual direction, only start/pause/resume.
Maybe spend a few hours developing the software with real device testing in a space with doorways and obstacles to divide the zones. I doubt a single developer personally owns/uses this device.

I’ve been using MyDyson with my 2018 air purifier over WiFi with no problem for years. I want to update its WiFi settings, but it fails. I can pair to its SSID and it is discovered by the app, but then can’t get past the next step. Starting over, I used my camera to take a picture of its serial number, and then the app claims my machine—that has been working with the app for years— isn’t compatible. That’s wrong. Poor flow for adding
Adding a hot cool link after changing my Wi-Fi it was a terrible UI flow. I repeatedly saw the screen for entering the serial number pop up again and again, and after connecting to the machine Wi-Fi, it claimed that it was incompatible even though the first time I readded the machine (yesterday), it was compatible. The latest update put the shopping button first instead of accessing the already purchased products, also broke some of the product icons so now there is a missing image instead of the product displayed, and finally removed the easy swiping between devices.
