Super handy app! I really appreciate the pet desk app, it’s a great place to have easy access to your dogs records. I love how you can set reminders and even request appointments in it. I was really impressed with the app one time my dog hurt herself after hours and so we had to go to the urgent care vet, and because he was able to look and see her records from her recent physical he felt totally fine prescribing her some painkillers, even though he wasn’t her usual Vet. So just beyond impressed and thankful for PetDesk thanks for making such a great app!

I recently went to visit this Vet and took my dog who had a small growth on her paw. She removed it. Very successfully and did an excellent job. I like that she took us in the room to look at the x-ray and show us exactly what was going on with her. She was and it showed on the x-ray. Ads make this unusable
I was very happy using this to keep track of the frequency of vomiting and hairballs for my two cats.
At some point, they switched to full-page ads that you are forced to watch before being able to use the app at all, and most of the time even after the ad finishes you can't close it and are locked out of the app.
I was tolerating it until they added a fantasy AI app to their ad rotation. Sorry, but I'm not interested in having to watch a fake woman spread her legs over and over when I'm just trying to track cat puke. 🙄

Our first visit and it was to put our 14year old dog, Molly to sleep. This was our first time going through this process. The nurses/technicians and doctor came out to the car. Very understanding, empathetic, and caring. Then we returned the next morning after being at the ER vet with our 2 year old cat Freckle, who passed away of liver failure. This is helpful for appointments and basic info. It would be great if it could have a record of vaccinations given. Also, don’t just say you have an appointment, say what it is for, for example: Lyme Vaccine 1 or Lepto booster 3. Vet tech appointment for nails etc. it seems this would be an easy thing to do. Happy Poodle Dad
I’ve been a standard poodle and Berne doodle breeder for many years, and it was always so stressful when it came to natural breeding. It was always a guess if it would take. The app is small in size and does what it purports to do with a good interface…fine for a smartphone. For an iPad however, the app will only open in portrait mode, useless for those of us with iPad and cases with keyboards. I never use my iPad in portrait mode, never have. There is also the question of need; this solves a non-existent problem as I can get everything I need about my pet, their veterinary services, and their online pharmacy from the vet’s website. The app is fine but when you request an appointment you don’t get every option you need an appointment for, no big deal, however, there’s a request date of appointment and time. Ok, fine. Well, 9/10 times I’ve ever requested times, it’s always met with “we’re fully booked that day. Call for appointment” if you have a request appointment option, don’t make it a one day (I left times open 8 days out from open to close) request option. Major flaw in giving pet medications
There is a major flaw in this app when giving your pets medications. First, it does not act like the Apple health app so that you can log the exact time when the medication was taken or, in this case, given to your pet. This means that if you set up the medication to give it every day at noon, but you don't give it until 3:40 PM, the medication is still going to show as though it was given at noon. I do not know why this app exists. Supposedly it is so you can book appointments with your vet, and have it save all your pet information. But in reality you cannot use the app, you have to go to the website (if you try in app it just opens a browser). I was requesting appointments online, getting notifications from my vet through this service. All good. Once I downloaded the app, all of that stopped. It has none of my history or my upcoming appointments. Initially, it showed my vet but that’s gone now. I tried to add the vet but it looks like the app will only show the ones that are open now. I cleared the filters, but got the same results. Help within the app is all self serve … here’s an article to read that might help. I clicked App Support from the App Store. The page never loaded. My cat was put down. After he died, and no longer was an active pet of mine at my vet clinic that uses this platform, his entire profile was deleted without my knowledge or say-so for my account. It feels like losing him all over again. What a stupid, stupid oversight. I should be able to access his profile, the picture I uploaded for him, and any of his records, whenever I please—regardless of whether or not he is still alive and in need of care. *PETCO*, of all companies, has this function! Pet Desk Cancelled Appointment???
My dog was scheduled for surgery to remove 2 growths. While dropping off my pet, I was told that I cancelled the surgery two days before through PetDesk. I made an initial/first appointment through PetDesk to examine the growths, but the surgery was scheduled directly with the veterinarian (I.e., not using PetDesk). Moreover, I never opened the PetDesk app in the intervening time between the first appointment and the surgery. So, it’s a mystery to me how I could have cancelled the surgery given that I never opened the app. Does PetDesk have some sort of baffling bug??

This app is just bad. This is what happens when corporations buy out vet offices and try to “streamline” things with clunky processes. I don’t know if the vet offices need more education about how to work with it or if the app itself is just poorly thought out. Like the whole purpose of the app is to house pet and vet information but it relies entirely upon the pet owner to enter it, completely defeating the purpose. And the appointment feature only has a couple of options with no ability to add notes for the provider? Like what is this? How is this at all useful?

Easy to use PetDesk
I’ve been going to First City Vet since 2001 when it used to be Milners. My whole family and especially our dogs and my brother and sister-in-law’s cats. I was so excited to see this app and that’s what ultimately made me go with my vet clinic nearby. But I had issues requesting an appointment - to the point where when I called a couple days later they had never gotten my request. I also had issues with the drop down menus during pet account set up.

I just downloaded because my vet’s office is using it for appointments and I really like the app so far. Recently my dog went on a medication regimen so I use the app for reminders on his medication. I like this feature but it would be more convenient if there was an end date was an option. The app constantly asks for us to rest our password and then fails to log us in most of the time. The notifications our vet claims to send us rarely show up, but yet we see the notice counter with 4 items. If. You can actually get logged in, there are no messages. If they do exist none are accessible. Support = 0. In taking to other pet parents at the vet, they note similar issues and just stopped using the app citing its more trouble than it’s worth.
