Low quality customer service
The last two orders I’ve placed through this app have been had major issues. The last order I placed had a door crash driver pick it up and not deliver it. They also didn’t flag it as picked up. Then three other drivers tried to pick it up and since the food was already gone there was nothing to get. Taco Bell refused to remake the order. Since Taco Bell no longer has a direct way to contact customer support I called door dash to try and get help. Door dash tried to cancel the order but it went through anyways even though the order says it was canceled and refunded. Now I’m having to do a char

Cart doesn’t show
The view my bag never shows up. I googled this issue and it has been going on for at least 6 months because there is a Reddit thread about it in the Taco Bell subreddit. I click add on items and get zero feedback but then the “view my bag” never shows. This problem has persisted across multiple reinstalls, reboots, killed app instances, phone updates etc. I just literally can’t order anything from the app because you all didn’t add a static cart button and the banner never shows up to click on. Now I remember why I deleted this app a couple of years ago; As soon as you start customizing an item, you can no longer add it to the bag! I thought “Hmmm? New menu, better app”. Nope! We’ve loved using the app for delivery and pick up for quite awhile now. There’s been a new update or something that’s causing it to not work half the time. I made customizations to my order. These customizations were not saved and I was only notified AFTER the order was placed in the app and the order was paid for. The app asked if I would like to cancel the order before the order said it had been started. When I canceled, a pop up said I could not cancel the order. I like Taco Bell, but the app—and website—are becoming more and more frustrating. For starters, they REFUSE to add ‘sweet tea’ as a drink option (for some absurd reason). 1. Multiple rewards on one order. I had to place three seperate orders individually to claim three rewards. The restaurant was super busy. And this led to increased wait times.
2. Adding favorites items to reward recipes. If I customize an item. That is on the list of rewards. I should be able to do it once and reference it from my favorites. I shouldn’t have to re customize it several times every time I use a reward. This is very exhausting and makes me deter from using the app at all. This ties into request 1. If I customize something once. I shouldn’t have to recustomize it per reward.

they wont start your order until you get there and check in at some of these subpar locations factually. About a year ago I started using the Taco Bell app 2-4 times a month to order ahead and I was surprised by how great it was. Easy to log in, menu was laid out intuitively, the checkout flow was pretty good and I could favorite items I had customized to reorder later. Frustrating User Experience with Basic Features Missing
First of all, I don’t understand why the Taco Bell app doesn’t automatically select the location closest to you. Every other fast food app assumes that the nearest location is probably the one you want to order from. Instead, you have to manually change it every time. And not only that—you also have to confirm that you want to change it. Why are there so many unnecessary steps just to select a different Taco Bell? The app has been among the pioneers of fast food apps. It works well now. The problem I am seeing now is that it very frequently stops responding and I have to wait for the spinning circle to finish before I can continue. I am traveling for a year and apps like this make it very convenient to get my food. However this app is the worst to use. Long time customer feeling weary
I really wish you guys would implement an “item not in stock” feature on the app. I’ve had several app orders where I get to the store and they’re just out of the item, which really is a bummer as I already am choosing to splurge on take out, I can’t afford to be paying for things I won’t even receive..
