Obtuse and unreliable
The app used to be alright despite some bugs and some very unintuitive UI. However, the recent updates basically killed the reliability of the Garmin ecosystem for me.
Among other issues, automatic sync never works properly when using more than one device. The latest update removed the screen where you can see all your connected devices and sync them manually. Additionally, I found the app doesn't store your data on the phone and can't even show data from your connected device if you're not also connected to the internet. This makes the app useless when off the grid. And I'm not even counting

Please update the style and visuals
This is amazing app that works great with Gramin’s amazing products, that being said it’s shame how outdated it feels at hand - please do introduce some visual improvement to this app - improve data presentation with clear hierarchy, simple presentation/expand to show more, micro animations etc. with iOS example at hand and 2026 approaching it’s shame we need to see this “excel” style presentation.

Getting worse
There was some update recently and the app is working poorly now. When I want to add a set or an exercise to a training and click search there is no option for input, it just breaks and after several seconds the app freezes, you cannot search for any exercise, you cannot go back. You can either enter some exercise from the recent ones or close the app and start again.

I do not understand how literally every other app and decide can connect automatically but for a Fenix 7 watch to update and connect correctly you need to open the app every damn time and click sinc 2-3 times. Then wait 5 min.

It doesn’t load most
Of my data to the app, the whole appearance of the data is wrong in so many ways and not user friendly!! The previous design of the app was much more better and easier to navigate, and was updating the data correctly!
With this bad design Garmin lost me as a customer!
Never again going back to garmin again! The update wasn’t necessary at all!

Good app, insufficient Health integration
I have Omron smart scale and get weight and body composition data in Apple Health. Garmin Connect can’t import this and allows manual input of weight measurements only.

App and device usability
Between me and my husband, we’ve had 7 different Garmin bands and watches over the past 5 years. I used to swear by the devices and the app, but lately I feel like they are falling a bit behind with innovation and improvement. While the app contains a lot of information it is not very intuitive and a lot of the integrations with other apps rarely work. In terms of focus, it’s most suitable for more hardcore sports lovers and athletes. If you seek casual health and fitness monitoring device I’d choose a different system. For the same reason I switched and will no longer be using Garmin.
