I SO tired of this app loosing my progress
When I'm using this terrible app on the iPad, I have to mentally keep track of where I'm at because there's an extremely good chance that at some point the app will either crash or encounter an error or something and every time it does, it resets the game/show progress back to the start and I have to spend 10 minutes finding my place again. It's SO frustrating. Why is the default to clear the progress on error?!

Worst Streaming app ever conceived
There’s not enough ways for me to say how bad Xfinity Stream is. If I want to watch a movie that I have purchased, I will start it and watch as much as I can of it…god forbid I need to close the app restart it at a later date. The app will either completely glitch out and not show that I started the movie or it will show that I started it and then restart it on its own, very frustrating. Reorganize your channel guide
We recently signed up for Xfinity tv. The channel guide is a mess. We don’t need repeat of the channels listed and hide SD duplicates if there is an high definition already.
On one tv we have Apple TV box and the app doesn’t have the mini guide menu by pushing the right arrow pad to pull up the channel guide list while watching tv.

Have trouble with app losing volume and crashing
I usually love this app ! But for several months now it loses the sound periodically during playback. It also will stop streaming and the 3 bubbles will appear only to resume adding subtitles or it completely crashes. This occurs during every playback and can be frustrating. Latest update broke Delete function
Ever since the app updated, shows won’t delete from my library after I watch them and tap YES on the pop up, or if I go back to the list of recorded shows and choose delete from there. Sometimes I get a message saying it is casting on another device, which is nonsense because I was only watching on my iPad.
I figured out that I can watch a few seconds of any other recording, then go back to the one I’ve seen, and then I can get it to delete. Why isn’t important stuff like this tested before updates are released? They are supposed to fix things, not break things that had been fine.

1. Restart phone.

Not what it used to be
Before the latest update this app worked so much better. It was faster switching between channels and there were 9 channels in the “recent” section. Now the app is very slow switching between channels. Sometimes 10+ seconds for the new channel to load. And there are only four channels in the “recent” section. No comparison to the DIRECTV stream app
I recently moved from Xfinity cable to Xfinity stream, but I’m really not happy with the Xfinity Stream app. The DIRECTV Stream app is so much better and functions almost like a cable box. When you go back to the guide in Directv, the original channel remains in the background. With Xfinity stream, you lose it and hear nothing. We just had an unexplained price increase. Unable to contact a representative to find out why. When using the spectrum live stream app, you’re able to change channels with two swipes.

Resets watch progress while watching
Be warned, if you want to watch anything recorded start to finish… it won’t happen. The app will regularly (minimum 5-10 times per 1hr recorded time) fail to stream, will close the stream, and then immediately reset your progress to the beginning. Sometimes it won’t even bother closing, it will buffer a little and then send the stream right back to the beginning. This forces you to go through and try to re find your spot in the show. Issues with the app.
What is going on? When I click on a channel in the app, all I get is an error message saying it’s having trouble. I have a Roku tv and all the other apps work just fine. The xfinity was working fine until two weeks ago. The app opens and it shows the last channel I opened but when I hit start, I get the dots of death then an error message pops up. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but it still doesn’t work. Normally, I’d give this app at least 4 stars because it does have some nice features. Giving it a 1 star rating though because it constantly drops audio when streaming or freezes. I’ve been having the same issue for over a year on all devices I access it through, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max and an iPad. Downloads broken with IpadOS 18
The app is useless for offline downloads of recordings on IPADs with IpadOS 18. A movie or show downloads fine, but when you tap the “Watch” button, a small pop up appears with two choices to resume or restart. If you do nothing it disappears after a few seconds. If you tap watch again and quickly select either button, the pop up disappears and the cycle continues. There is no way to watch downloaded material.
Xfinity Tech Support believed it was an issue with my network. Sure. Everything else works fine. They sent a tech out who found nothing wrong with our cable and modem system.
