Please stop logging me out
I love Hallmark+ but PLEASE, I’m begging, fix the app so I don’t have to log in every day. I literally watch something every day. Why do I have to sign in on the same device every single day? While you’re at it, please make it so that we can exit from a show easily. One last request: let us rate the movies and/or give us a way to know if we’ve seen a movie or not. A simple thumbs up or down button or stars… something. Is Hallmark+ adding ADS to the app now?? I had an ad for Hallmark cards playing over the beginning of my episode of The Way Home today! Twice! Continue Watching Glitches
Shows are great! However, the “continue watching” section is a complete wreck! Shows appear in this area randomly and I can’t get rid of them. Plus, you have to edit that part on a laptop or computer only, which only adds to the hassle. I go through all the steps, and the shows still are not removed. Their tech support is confusing. I wish they’d fix these glitches. But especially, that they’d make that “continue watching” section easier and user friendly.

Hallmark+ Update = Fail
Until now my biggest complaints about this service was the app itself: it’s still the worst app on Apple TV and hasn’t improved. I’ve actually bought a Roku stick just to watch Hallmark+ because this app is so bad. But now, they’ve decided they need to add ads at the beginning of any movie/episode you play. It’s insulting and ridiculous. Why advertise Hallmark+ to someone who’s watching it? I knew it was just a matter of time as the new Live streaming has been doing it for a while. Talk about preaching to the choir! I’m paying to be annoyed. This may be the last straw.

Streaming quality
Let me start out by saying I love my Hallmark movies. However, I am really disappointed in the streaming quality on Hallmark+. The movies often look like they are produced decades ago, with the visuals that resemble something from the 1990s rather than modern HD standards. The picture can often appear soft, grainy, and lacking in clarity, which takes away from the viewing experience. For a paid streaming service, I expected a much higher level of quality. I hope improvements are made so that content matches today’s viewing expectations.

I have not had this app and subscription long, but it was long enough to realize the app is unstable. My movie kept cutting off with an “Oops” pop up box. I’m 50 years old and probably right in your target demographic. But I didn’t get this app for me. I got it for my mother for a birthday. In my whole life, I don’t think I’ve ever bought a gift that has caused more frustration and aggravation. The app is so very difficult to use. Needs work!
We just recently joined Hallmark+ and are enjoying it, but the app needs a lot of work. If you are watching a series, there is no way to tell where you left off! Once you find the show (even though you have been watching it, you still have to search for it), it was have a big white bar with an arrow, episode number and season, but it is NOT where you left off, for some odd reason. When you look at the list of episodes, there is no indication of what has been watched. And don’t forget to turn on Chromecast BEFORE you click the show.

I am so utterly mind blown right now!!! I have been using the Hallmark+ app for over a year now and the glitches were minimal in the beginning. I could reset Google Home and restart the app, I am streaming the app to my chromecast. Which yes I know is pretty old school BUT…I have ZERO issues with any of the other 7 or 8 apps I use. Got this app during a Black Friday sale in 2025 - while it’s a fantastic thought for watching commercial-less Hallmark movies/shows, it still needs much improvement. I have to sign back in once a week on the phone app. When I’m watching it on my phone, the rewind and fest forward arrows are awful and need recalibrated majorly. This is one of the buggiest apps I’ve used. It often logs me out in the middle of playing a movie. This includes a glitch where it says I’m not in the US and won’t let me log back in. The app constantly needs to be refreshed because it will not load and almost every time it’s opened on the tv it logs me out and requires me to log back in. I really want to love the Hallmark+ app because the content itself is wonderful, but the app performance on Fire TV is extremely frustrating. On my Fire TV, it often takes 2–3 minutes for the picture to load, even though the audio starts playing right away. I use this app literally every night of the holiday season and it is of the lowest quality you can imagine from a large company like hallmark. I love the easy light hearted mystery shows and movies on HM. I like watching the stress free shows to unwind before bed. However the iPhone app is bad, I mean bad, and only getting worse. It was never the best app but it functioned. Now I can’t seem to watch any shows without is crashing almost every time. We also aren’t really able to easily go back to the menu after starting the show. Additionally, trying to reverse or fast forward is incredibly challenging the arrow buttons rarely work and only advance or rewind a few seconds at a time. Dragging the progress bar is also often impossible.

This app is absolutely the worst. Constantly signs me out on the Apple TV. Says it is “unavailable in your country” which is odd, I live in the USA and it was fine 10 min ago. Where to start. This app rarely recognizes my account when I log in and constantly claims I don’t have an active subscription regardless of which device I use. When I finally do get access, the app is painfully slow and simply finding something to watch takes forever. Once a show or movie finally starts, don’t even try to rewind. It often glitches and throws you back to the beginning. If I am lucky enough to finish watching something and exit the app, the next time I try to open it, it frequently claims I am outside the U.S. and blocks access. I absolutely love the Hallmark Channel offerings. However, the app is the pits. I was subscribing via prime and notice any hallmark offerings were very slow to load and very glitchy. Difficult app to use
The app has several issues -the main issue i have found is that when watching on my phone it does not have the function to reduce screen size. Love Hallmark movies, but this app is terrible. I pay for it, so why do I have to watch a commercial before the movie? Random movies show in my continue watching-um, never started the movie in the first place. There’s no way to clear it, so I wind up fast forwarding through, just to get rid of it. I love hallmark and so hallmark+ seemed like a no brained but it could use a lot of work. The live channel experience doesn’t offer any information as to what you’re watching no title or description. I also don’t like how hard it is to navigate fast forwarding or rewinding for example most times I try to hold the little button down and drag it it ends up not working or it will move my screen. I love Hallmark but this app needs improvement. The user interface is horrible. I am having to search for shows I want to watch, I added some to my watchlist but I couldn’t find it. Very unpolished, buggy app that any self-respecting vendor would update or replace. Would not work, finish loading on several TVs. On those that worked, often won’t login after while and only works again after reinstalling. Sometimes page gets cut off and can’t navigate. Never works properly
Please, we are begging you, fix this app. It is painfully slow, impossible to use, and never works properly. You cannot fast forward or rewind without freezes, and when it freezes it starts the entire movie over again. It often closes on its own and force quits. And yes, I have made sure it was updated, and yes I have it on several devices. It’s the same experience across them all, which makes it an app issue, not user. It’s 2025, there is NO reason to have a bad app. Especially when we have to pay monthly to use it.
