Urgent developer response requested. Something happened between this new update. The app no longer connects. For me the app suddenly doesn’t work, doesn’t connect, just keeps trying over and over, and then gives red line failed. I notice that the WiFi symbol never goes out like it used to. Edit: A new feature allows you to opt out of the annoying community chat garbage. Back to 5 stars! This is a really solid VPN. It has great features and I’ve loved having a premium account. For some reason they thought it’d be a good idea to add chat. Now I have red numbers at the bottom telling me that an angst filled 16 year old wonders whether war or school are worse. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to back away, not making eye contact. If there was a way to disable the stupid chat, that’d be fine too.

I have been using this app since middle school to get around my school’s useless Wi-Fi. I’m a senior now. That’s how reliable this app has been for me over the past 4+ years. The app isn’t bad, but it forces me to watch multiple ads to close it, and sometimes the close button doesn't even work, forcing me to watch more ads on top of it. Sometimes I get so annoyed by the constant advertisements that I leave the VPN on. I have been using this app for 3 years and watched it start as an ad-free company with an optional paywall to making you watch more ads than any other app I own, just to click the off button. Wow, paid 13 dollars, it started off good, but it went down drastically when I can’t even connect, you say you are ultra fast, but right now it’s the complete opposite, it can’t even connect and sometimes when it does, it is as slow as burundis internet, maybe even slower. I’ve used this since my freshmen year and I graduated last year my only problem with this is when I try and turn it off it will force me to watch an ad to turn it off and not short ads either. It is the most frustrating thing when I am on a phone call, back at home where it messes with my internet. I can’t turn it off instantly when I need to, I only use it when I’m at work cause the wifi has blocks on it to not make social work works really good other than this. Please bring back the “turn off”button :((

Ive been using this VPN for about a year and it works pretty fine. When the first time I use it used to ask to watch ads to use it for like 15 mins but after a while it started to not pop up. When I open the APP it asks to buy premium but you can actually skip all of them the buttons are just hidden somewhere. But my friends cant see them and thinks its fully paid app and not free. Maybe just make the skip buttons bigger.

I didn’t know where else to leave this review as there’s a major bug right now that is making the app unfunctionable for free users. I’ve been using this app for quite some time now for about a year or 2.. but now when you open the app it asks you what your main reason for using it is. Hotspot shield has worked very well for me. I would like to have an option to turn it off persistently while keeping security reminders. Presently, even if I manually turn off hotspot shield it cones back on automatically. I’m not sure if this is iOS or hotspot shield but it can be frustrating as some apps don’t allow VPN. What’s the point of total security if the app is gonna drop the connection when I turn off my phone?
