Disappointing Experience
The myAudi app has a lot of potential but falls short in almost every key area. Connectivity is slow and unreliable, basic functions like checking vehicle status or sending remote commands often take far too long, if they work at all. The app frequently lags, or displays random errors, and customer support’s standard response is that the error messages “will disappear on its own in some time,” which is far from reassuring.

Not a day goes by that this app doesn’t disappoint in some way. Erroneous messages about the sunroof being open, the car being unlocked, an inability to access cameras, taking forever to access the car (failing half the time), erroneous mileage (off by up to 100 miles), inability to control things like, oh windows, sunroof, or pretty much anything. I find this app to be truly useless. I’m using it with my new Q6. It will sometimes update and show me the battery status, but not always. And when it does, the range is always extremely different (much lower) than what it says inside the car. 75% of the time it will not connect with my car, and I’m not able to use the lock/unlock/climate controls from the app. It also does not show/update location, charging or energy use data that it is supposed to. Great when the Audi server actually lets you communicate with your car
The Audi app itself is fine, and you can pretty much accomplish all the things you need to do daily easily. The layout is also easy to navigate. The recurring problem is that many, many times you can’t actually communicate with the car because the Audi server is down. The review below still is legit, what isn’t is the pain involved in reconnecting to the App after a major vehicle maintenance that erased all settings. The instructions are at best hints. The need to use the website MyAudi’s ID when naming the Key User is not mentioned. The “security feature” of not speaking or leaving the password where you can see it makes getting the mixed character passcode right a royal pain. This is NOT a Banking App!

A little wonky.
For the most part, the app works. However, when it doesn’t work, it leaves room for improvement. The most bothersome issue is it often gives me erroneous status of the car when it is parked and locked. It will state that doors and windows are open, when they are not. The second issue is around 25% if the time, I’m unable to reach the vehicle via the app. I often attempt to start the stationary climate system before I head out in the morning, and unable to do so, even when the car is outside.
Today, using latest version, I’m told “Server has sent an invalid reply.” Dead in the water.

Everything said and told by Audi were lies!!
The car dealership and Audifs. They work unisons to scam more money out of you. Wanted to return a lease 1 month early so I didn’t have to pay the last payment since I had extremely low mileage. Many dealerships like these kind of low mileage vehicles to be returned so they sometimes will purchase the lease from Audifs but they cannot do that without the vehicle. 1st I was told by Audifs that when I return the vehicle early the recurring payments would stop and between 2-12 weeks I’ll get the final bill. Even without the added on features from the subscriptions, the most basic of functions for this app does not work consistently. At first it was only the charging time to target battery level feature that didn’t work consistently. This feature hasn’t worked in weeks now. I got my new Audi Q4 a couple weeks ago. The car is a beauty and I absolutely love it. The app is a complete disappointment. The functionalities it offers are pretty basic and some do not even work. I have been talking to my dealer and their support team for 10 days about their ‘Connect’ service. Nobody can make it work. There are many, many comments in Audi Forums about basic things that the app could do with some basic development. While the app my Audi does have some useful information it works only sporadically. I like getting location of my car, fuel that is left, whether all the doors and windows are locked and if anything is wrong. And while I like using the Audi interface for Maps to get real traffic information through Audi prime cost hundreds of dollars per year. I bought a new Audi Q7 and at start, was impressed by the interior car details but as the user experience begins, one realizes that VW/Audi lacks quality control on its technology. I have been trying for over a month to get the app to purchase a simple WiFi program for my vehicle and to consistently login, with no success. Not even the service center can help….and they tried! This is a first world problem in a world where so much is going on. I had been using this app and it was ok, pretty much just the basics - ability to locate the vehicle, unlock it, look up service locations, etc. After using their competitors app, the one from Affalterbach, I REALLY want remote start, even if the car shuts down when unlocked. An embarrassment of an app
Within the past few months, my wife and I both got new cars. I got an Audi, and she got a Volvo. While we both love the cars, the apps are wildly different from each other. While the Audi app is pretty much useless, the Volvo app is amazing, giving her all sorts of useful information and even being able to start the car. But that’s a whole other complaint, that Audi does not offer a remote car starter and nothing to do with the app.

Useless app that lets you stranded in your EV
It’s very apparent that this app is a „gazillion“ miles away from the experience that true EV apps bring to customers. Compare Tesla. Even compare BMW. Both are much, much, much better in terms of design, usability, customer centricity ... you name it. This app just looks like somebody threw random functionality somewhere onto the screen without any reason. It’s bad.

Warning about My Audi Connect
DO NOT PRE PAY for these features! If you want to try beyond the trial period only choose monthly plans. Contrary to what it says in the literature the services are not refundable or transferable. And they are terrible as you can see in other reviews.
You can’t choose Apple car play and use WiFi. The news and weather are just so bad it’s silly. While the maps in the car is beautiful I wouldn’t pay for it when it free so on your mobile device. Please bring back the old app, at least until this one is fixed. I can’t log on. I’m glad I’m on my free audiconnect trial, because I would be very upset if I were paying for this experience.
