Great App, Great Store
I started shopping at Aldi’s a few months ago when my 91 year old father in law asked to go there to pickup some items he needed. I downloaded the app so I can compare prices between them and other big name stores. I have yet to find an item that is more expensive at Aldis. As far as the app I love the grocery list feature. I can add an item and quantity to my list and see what it will cost before I go shopping. I have the two other big name stores apps and although they have a grocery list. I have not seen where I can add my quantity or cost of the items on my list. Great app.

This app is frustrating
1. When I click in the email to see the ad it takes me to a page with a 504 error message then when I go to the website to access the ad I get sent to the ap that wants me to update the app, I click on install, it takes me to the App Store that just say open (not update) and when I click on that takes me back to the page that says you must update the app.
This has been happening since the big website change over a month ago!

No longer works on older iPhone 8+
I used to love using the Aldi’s mobile app to build an order throughout the week and pick it up when the list was long. It was a real time saver and I spent hundreds of dollars at a time. It was also very fun to see all the seasonal specials available and buy them before they were gone from the stores. After the update in March 2026, however, older versions of iOS are no longer supported and my phone is not compatible with the latest version. Neither the App nor the Website Work on My Phone!
The app doesn’t work at all on my iPhone anymore. I keep getting a “connection request” error but I’m connected to WiFi with no problems otherwise. When I go to the website the search box has text already in it that just keeps scrolling and won’t let me type at all. So my online access to Aldi’s is zip! Too bad because I wanted to check availability on some items before shopping there and that was going to determine which store I went to.

App is VERY glitchy
1. Every time I try and do curbside pick up the app requests me to hit “I’m on my way” instead of waiting for arrival it immediately sends the rep to “deliver” the items. By the time you arrive you have to go inside and find a rep (which isn’t easy considering everyone is accounted for) 2. They started charging a fee of $1.99 for curbside but it’s now 3 orders where this occurs —- 3. Klarna used to work on the app. Klarna app says it should be available at check out on the app and it’s not. Whenever this app changed to this new format it’s an issue every single time.

It’s impressive how you manage to make us all hate this app more each update. I especially like how you built an entire app just so you could hyperlink the weekly ads so it just boots you out to your internet browser now. Nice touch. My favorite though, and your C level will love this, is that I have categorically stopped shopping at Aldi by a tenfold reduction because I can’t save Aldi finds and get alerts when they’re live like the old app. And it’s so annoying to navigate I’m not even pulled to drive the extra 15 mins anymore. Too much change geared for online
UPDATE: just offloaded the app because 1.03 GB is too big for such an app. Other grocer apps are much smaller. Plus the app is no longer friendly for viewing this week and upcoming Aldi finds.
I had previously reviewed the former new app. I agree with the current reviews. Bring back the list feature as now it’s too cumbersome to find and remember the Aldi finds we want. New App is a downgrade
Between the horrible embedded web overlays, tiny text, no account persistence across the overlays, and removal of 2-3 click access to weekly ads, this app is basically unusable at this point. I primarily used it for the weekly ad access and now I might as well just use a native web browser and delete this joke of an update. 5 months and you release something no one can read, is barely something that can be navigated and forces shopping receipt decisions before you can even see what the local store has is rubbish. Thanks for saving me space by deleting this I guess?

Now charging for pick up
I’ve been using the Aldi’s app for months to place a regular pick up at my local store. I’ve never been charged a pick up fee before. Now after the app update, I’m being charged $2 to go pick up at the store. That’s very disappointing. I’m driving there myself to get them, so why charge a fee for a service that I’ve never been charged a fee for before? It might only be $2, but that can add up. I also don’t like the new app design. It doesn’t feel unique to Aldi’s anymore. I thought I had Publix open several times since both now look exactly the same.

The New update Ruined the App for me
After being forced to update the app so I could use it, everything is broken. Where’s my shopping cart huh? It lets me add things to my “cart” but where is said cart??? Nowhere to be found. Plus it’s selective of the products it shows you and you have to search for almost invisible little buttons that say “see all” even after selecting the department you want. It showed me things were available at my selected store that absolutely were not. I know this because I had to go to the store since my mystery cart is useless to me. Don’t like it. Fix it please.

Update = worse UX
Making someone click an extra time, when completely unnecessary, is just downgrading user experience. The old app allowed you to search a product, get all results, and click “add to cart” right from that screen. Now, you get all results, have to click on the product which brings you to its page, and click again to add to cart. Doesn’t seem like a big deal until you have to go through double the steps for every single product you want to add to cart.

We’re enjoying our shopping experiences with Aldi! Where I’ve heard many complaints that there aren’t enough options, I’ve experienced quite the opposite. Everything we’ve purchased at Aldi has been sufficient for our needs. I appreciate the smaller store and not being overwhelmed with marketing gimmicks and 700 different brand names. Less useful than other grocery stores’ apps
I like to pre-price my groceries before going shopping each week, so I can buy items where I’ll get the best value. Aldi’s is less useful for this purpose than those of the other stores I regularly shop at. One reason is that the autocomplete in its search engine is nearly useless, so you have to type in most or all of the name of what you’re looking for. But more important is the fact that the prices in the app don’t match the prices in the store. The app shows you the price you pay if you order through the app, but for most items, this is higher than what you’ll pay than if you shop in-store

Was excited to utilize this service for pick up. Tried it out for the first time and was told my order would be ready in about two hours—awesome!! …Immediately followed by “there’s no shoppers available we will let you know when your order is ready” no estimate on time, no updates for hours, no offers to reschedule… I just wasted a half hour placing an order and ended up going to the store myself to shop instead because I have a very limited window to get groceries. Glitchy and Limited
I love Aldi, but they need to work on their app when it comes to making delivery or curbside orders. You’re better off using Instacart because they use that third party any way. If you make the order through the app, you can make any changes, or input preferences, or approve or deny the replacements. I feel like I used to be able to do this but it is not allowing me anymore? Plus one time it glitches out so bad and wouldn’t let me say I was here at the store to pickup. Terrible Communication.
After placing an order on 1/30 it was canceled a week later . After a snow store came Aldi allowed me to order $300 in groceries with a hold on my card knowing they would not have a shopper available for curbside . They still allowed me to place my order and cancel the order leaving me and my family with no groceries for an entire week snowed in. No communication until I called insta cart myself. After being a value customer for over 20 years Aldi really dropped the ball on this one in the one time I needed them the most. I am so disappointed.

Doesn’t work.
Curbside pick up system doesn’t work. No matter how many times I pressed the check-in button, it would not allow me to go to the page to put in the spot number for my husband, who was picking up my order. And when I tried to call the store to check in that way, the number wouldn’t work. So my husband ended up having to go in because there was literally no way to check in. By the time he went in and found someone to bring it out, I had already gotten to the area, which defeated the purpose. Very disappointed.

The shopping experience is fine; it usually creates the cart without much issue.
The problems arise during the pickup process. The button you click to say you have arrived does not work at my Richfield Mn location. I have to call every time.

Sorry, but I have to go
I loved shopping at Aldi. I made a shopping run once or twice a week. I recently noticed that nearly every item on the shelf at Aldi now contains bioengineered ingredients. Why is it necessary to add a bioengineered ingredient to french fries? Now, I have to find a new store, which probably isn’t gonna be any better. Aldi, do better! Too many customers shop at your store for affordable and reliable food options. Our health should be more important than saving a dime on each product sold. Americans deserve better, especially when the same items aren’t in foods in other countries.

Terrible service
Aldis online pick up has zero support or accountability. The shoppers just drop or refund your items, substitute them with something completely unrelated, and then ignore your messages.
There’s then zero way to contact the Aldis to have this corrected. They have no phone line to the store or ability to speak to anyone. There’s simply a feedback form that goes to nowhere or they take so long to respond that the order is already long over and they offer zero help.

Aldi has most everything that I need. Stores and manageable size, and everything is easy to find.
There are two downsides. I need to go somewhere else for brand-name or specific item. Fresh produce is hit or miss whether it’s going to be not quite ripe or too ripe.

Not the same Aldi
We have been shopping here for many years. Started seeing price increases some are expected but noticed more often. The online curbside service is good but I can never find certain things that are always in the store, especially the gluten free pasta! The “add items to order” does not work
I placed my first order with Aldi a couple days ago. Then I remembered that I forgot some stuff and it said I could add it to my order. I added it probably another $50 worth of stuff. Convenient with glitches
I use this app about once a week. And for this past month, I’ve been placing my grocery delivery orders on here. Other times the app was working smoothly, but today it’s a different story. I checked for updates for the app and even restarted my device, but the app still had glitches. It took forever to search for food items, to add to the cart, and several times came up with an error when searching or adding items. A grocery order that normally would take me maybe 20 minutes at the most took about an hour or longer.
