Less useful than other grocery stores’ apps
I like to pre-price my groceries before going shopping each week, so I can buy items where I’ll get the best value. Aldi’s is less useful for this purpose than those of the other stores I regularly shop at. One reason is that the autocomplete in its search engine is nearly useless, so you have to type in most or all of the name of what you’re looking for. But more important is the fact that the prices in the app don’t match the prices in the store. The app shows you the price you pay if you order through the app, but for most items, this is higher than what you’ll pay than if you shop in-store

Redesign is horrible
After three days of consistent crashes, the new app finally consented to run, and I could experience the disaster that has replaced a functional app. The presentation of daily sleep data, the core of the old app’s functionality, is now obscured by a completely redesigned interface full of clutter and secondary data. The easy-to-read bar graph display comparing the past seven days’ data has been replaced by a purely textual display that will show only one set of data at a time (one day, week average, or year average), inhibiting direct comparison between days and obscuring trends. Getting glitchier with every update
I’ve been using Flipboard for several years now. I’ve noticed over the last couple of years that the glitches have been increasing in number, frequency, and severity. Most of them are visual glitches, such as one where the display suddenly goes super magnified and completely useless until you force quit. Some are more functional, such as the more recent glitch of the comment input field jumping the cursor to above the first line, almost completely outside of the field. And then there’s the app’s long-standing inability to manage its own cache, leading to it getting slower and slower to respond
