In the age of freemium and subscriptions, it was nice to see an app that only costs a one time fee. Once I opened it however, it was clear to me from the very start that I had made a great mistake in purchasing this product. This app lacks most of the functionalities that you would come to expect from such a piece of software: -Waypoints created will disappear from the map on the following day. -You pretty much need a PhD to import and export data. -Lacks basic features and advertises an expensive ($150 AUD) app in order to get them. -Constant error messages at startup. -Does not support wid

Unreliable
I’ll sit at home and mark out multiple locations I want to go out in the bush while I have internet. Then when I get out there and open the map the screen is just squares and no way points. Have marked out trips in internet coverage and then gone to update the trip the next day never leaving internet coverage and the whole map has been erased of waypoints. Good concept but extremely unreliable app.

Love this App
I use GPS Kit for work in outback Australia all the time. I can upload tracks and places I need to visit from GIS and I spend a fraction of the time I used to finding my way around. And the Google Earth background imagery is very helpful as well. Thoroughly recommended and no issues under IOS 11 as yet!

A lesson learnt here that you should thoroughly read reviews before you purchase and app. It could be good but it no longer has tech support and it is buggy - some map url links no longer work. If the developers have abandoned it then it is money down the drain as device upgrades will only make things less compatible for this app. Shame because it has potential.

Use this app all the time for when I'm working in the bush. The only issue I have sometimes is when I'm downloading maps to my offline cache it freezes and I can't restart it. Be good to get more guidance on this.

Great app, had it for years, only app that I have found that makes it easy to record multiple tracks at different times in an area- then view them all at once while recording more: PERFECT for mapping hidden enduro singletrack, then linking it all up into an EPIC loop! Have used it kayaking, sailing a Hobiecat, MTB, multi-day walking trips, canyoning etc etc. Better than another $150 Australian nav app I won't name.

It's unclear how ( or whether) you can preload a map without clumsy pinching over an area. Not possible to pinpoint by GPS? Overall unintuitive and not good for planning a hike in a remote area.

Initial user experience was poor
After purchase and installation, I tried to read the user manual. After a long wait I was told it was unavailable, but I could read an old version. Fine. But the old version is not even formatted for a small screen, so is difficult to read. And when I wanted to read it again, I had to go through the same process: wait, answer the dialogue about the old version and then struggle through a poorly formatted document. Considering the price of the app, it lacks polish.
