This app is pretty good however, there was one major issue with it. When I try to change the temperature on the app, nine out of 10 times it gives me an error message and does not make the change. Then when I try a second time it usually works. Obviously there is some bug in the app that needs to be fixed because I should not have to try to change the times in order to get it to work. It should work consistently the very first time. Please work on this and you will have a pretty good app. Thanks

The biggest pet peeve of this app is that the developers have yet to fix the CONSTANT ‘Create a Profile’ splash page that comes up either at launch of app or randomly on the middle of trying to use the app every single time. Purely as a thermostat, I’m reasonably happy with my AprilAire S86W MUPRs. (Full disclosure, I didn’t have a choice on which Wi-Fi thermostat to select, as I had old, non-WiFi AprilAire thermostats and wanted to continue to use my same wired remote temperature sensors.) However, the visual design of the app leaves MUCH to be desired. First and foremost, it wastes so much screen real estate with the “Healthy Air Control” branding. The thermostat was relatively easy to set up. However, be aware that there are certain configurations that need to be done in “installer mode” especially if you have humidifiers and air cleaners installed as part of your HVAC system. The thermostat has all the functionality that you will need to adjust the humidity, temperature and also has the control for the air cleaning modes. It hooked up to the Wi-Fi seamlessly it takes less than a few seconds to do that. Very pleased with this thermostat.

So, I bought a new house that came with Aprilaire. I try to see the positive, and it works pretty good. The big issue is this app. I never know if I will be able to use my phone to change the air. I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to write this review because of how excellent this app is. So many apps of this type can be flaky or buggy or interminably slow… But that’s not true of this app! I’ve used for over two years and I am still amazed how fast it is in connecting to my device (instantaneous) It never fails… Never… I know who did the coding on this app, but they should get paid a lot of money because they wrote an excellent easy use app that just works!

Love the scheduling options, perfect for a basic user like me. The app itself is pretty basic which I think is a good thing, it doesn’t give too much for anyone who doesn’t want to get fancy with their temp control. I had a new heater/AC installed in March 2022 along with an AprilAire WIFI thermostat. I was initially disappointed. Although I could connect the thermostat to WIFI, the app usually showed that the thermostat was not connected. AprilAire’s Customer Service was friendly and responsive; they advised a few times that their servers were down and that they were preparing to push a new version of the app. Once the app was updated (early April I think), everything has worked very well and consistentl

I have been using Aprilaire for many years now. The legacy screen has been updated with the new upgrade and the app is very stable on iOS. Tech support is very helpful and Courteous also the wait time for help is generally short and you get to talk to an actual person that knows the products. Find a contractor that supports the product and have them properly install the thermostat and properly connecting it to the equipment is the key.

When we moved into our new house about 9 months ago we had no issues with the app or connectivity to thermostat. Since then it times out every time and I have tried resetting the Wi-Fi settings multiple times. Now I cannot add the thermostat back to the app as it says it is registered but then fails to connect. This app only allows users to create 4 temperature schedule adjustments per day. If users could have perhaps 10-12 schedule adjustments per day then users could better balance comfort and peak hour rates from our utilities. This is an embarrassment to home automation. Clearly a hamfisted attempt to build an app so that they can sell more air conditioning units. The app rarely works and is extremely slow. We have separate HVAC systems for upstairs and downstairs of large home. App has been working fairly well for last 2 years (although the interface is old-fashioned as others have commented). Temp control and scheduling is really good app interface allows easy adjustment and copying features in the scheduling is perfect. UPDATE: I was able to get logged in finally by creating another account. The initial sign in link never appeared in my gmail, but did in another email client.
