Good for scheduling, THATS IT
This app has progressively been getting worse since our company started using it. I used to use this app for everything. Billing. Scheduling. Notes. Documentation. But now I can’t trust it to do hardly any of those things. I wrote paragraphs of notes. Just for my admin to later ask in the day why none are posted. If you have even the SLIGHTEST network hiccup any notes will be lost and deleted. The fact that this app is DEPENDENT on network for everything. And not just to sync is wild. I will be looking for new software. This ain’t it.

Withhold Money
We have been using Jobber for years. We are a large construction company. We just took a large payment in Jobber and we recieved a message from their team informing us that they are withholding our funds until we provide additional red tape paperwork for them….. if you needed additional paperwork you should have asked us to fill it out when signing up for jobber payments. Now you are withholding time sensitive funds for some Ai script you wrote that doesn’t take our use case or history into account.

Jobber is great. So much functionality at a great price. Much better for scaling your team without getting astronomical in costs. We tried different CRM as our company expanded over time. Eventually we settled on Yardbook. Free version to cut some over head. Worst decision made to try to save a few bucks. Creates extra work for accounting
Works fine for techs in the field. However, there are too many issues that cause extra work for the accounting department. This is better suited for very small businesses that use QuickBooks online and has no commercial customers. You can’t set terms for each customer so they all have the same terms. You can’t set the default to automatically attach the invoice to the email notifying the customer of their invoice. While residential customers are okay with this, many corporate customers don’t want to fiddle with the link. They want the pdf so they can enter it into their AP system and not waste

Notifications only show up the morning of a job!
It’s not your fault my company gives me jobs last minute but I would like a notification at least a day ahead of time if not when my employer assigns me the job. Otherwise the app works as it’s suppose to, but waking up to the Jobber notification and realizing you’re an hour late because your normal 30 minute drive is actually an hour and a half isn’t fun lol. Before Jobber, I used in invoice simple it was just a generic invoice app. No the Jobber I have every and anything I could ever ask for at my fingertips even though I don’t utilize half of the things available what I do use makes my life a whole lot easier and creating invoices quotes/estimates for customers, a whole lot easier and quicker. I have to say I think the Jobber software is phenomenal. Everything I could’ve ever wanted in one package. I feel like the pricing can be a bit steep, but luckily they have plans for various needs and budgets. The issue is that they really do not protect you at all when it comes to customer charge backs. Ok! We a super small company and app programs and not my strong suit, however, when my son aka as employee suggested Jobber for our directional drilling company I was open to a change from our other app due to Jobbers ability to sync with our scheduling, time cards and the ability to write quotes in very short order to our customers. Jobber is a predatory and clunky app that should be avoided like payday lenders. Jobber utilizes Stripe as their 3rd party processor, as if businesses couldn’t have their *own* Stripe account, but states 1-2 days for ACH processing (standard) but then has their support team making up their favorite 2 day range to cite to customers. Of course, Jobber can magically release *some* of the ACH funds on Day 2 but of course you have to pay a fee to have the funds released. I used to praise Jobber. I told everybody else in my industry about it and said it was the best field service app that I ever used. My only stipulation was it did not handle recurring billing very well, this was somewhat misrepresented to me when I was purchasing the software, but I figured it was a simple miscommunication. Whenever I upload images in a job form, I come back and for some reason, they duplicate themselves. Either it’s a visual glitch or an upload bug, but either way… it’s quite a hassle to fix. We switched from square to jobber and there are definitely things that jobber doesn’t have that make me really want to switch back. I wish there were more options on the app because as a business owner, I’m always on the go. It would be more beneficial to have it all in one place. Another little annoying thing is the calendar feature and how zoomed in it is. I wish I could zoom it out more to get the full picture of clients in the weekly view. Don’t waste your money
Honestly this app was great when I first got it 2 years ago. I run my entire plumbing business through Jobber. However, the past 3 months has been a nightmare dealing with this app. All of my guys are having nothing but the dumbest big issues. We can’t save a line item because the option is grayed out, or they’re unable to upload photos with invoices due to app kicking them out/ shutting down. This review is for the iOS app, not the Jobber platform. I like the platform quite a lot, and use it to run multiple crews for my landscape business. But, the iOS app has crashed or frozen multiple times on me, while creating quotes and requests, losing my work and having to go to a browser to get them done. All of my software is up to date. The platform works better on Chrome or Safari. Have the job title transfer from request to quote to Jo and to invoice. It is time consuming and difficult to train employees to go back and copy the title to transfer it to the invoice when they invoice in the field. We have used several FSM’s over the years, but none like Jobber. It offers most of the features of the SUPER expensive options, at an affordable rate. We use it for job costing, time keeping, invoicing, collections, and scheduling. It has greatly improved my business and increased our cash flow. Highly Recommend!
