Okay um. So I’m 10 like most of y’all, and I’ve seen some inappropriate things. There’s kissing videos, and yesterday I found a video with the s word in it.. HOW DO Y’ALL ALLOW THAT?!?! It’s almost completely perfect for your little one . Yt kids is awesome and your little one can learn lots from crafting to even COOKING!! It’s great for fun videos and creativity. The reason why I said “almost completely perfect “ in the beginning is because it says d**n quite a bit and 4 year olds don’t need to be running around saying d**n d**n d**n d**n! Good but the search engine is bad
Search engine is bad because here’s an example I search up Minecraft and it gives me Roblox you should fix the search engine because it does not search and I typed a lot of stuff and it gives me random stuff sometimes it’s the opposite it’s like fencing of what you’re going to look up and then just scrolling down and up and see where it is so the search engine isn’t the best but it still searches very horribly and also sometimes when I look videos it thinks that are alike. I have the app set to English but some how my son constantly finds videos that are in various languages. He’s at a stage where he’s still learning new words I don’t need him confused or me with what he’s trying to communicate because he’s watching these videos. Of course I change it and block the channel. Also you have some scary stuff on here for the age setting I have it at. I loved to watch all sorts of vids on there, I would watch it 24/7. But after a while, it started to glitch, all of the vids were full screened and I would type something in the searches bar and the results would be super duper glitched. Idk if it is my tablet or it’s for everyone. But that’s prob. because I like watched it for like 4 years or something. But anyways. There is really only stuff for much younger kids and not much for above 8. I will not say my actual age, but eight is when I started to get bored. There are not that many channels, even though I am sure there are many more channels and videos that kids can watch. I would not recommend this to kids over the age of six, seven, or eight. Thought out very poorly (from a kids perspective)
When my mom made the account a year or so ago when I was eleven she selected the 11-13 age group. Now I am 12 and see how seriously flawed this app is with my increased intellect and deeper understanding of life. Good, but has problems.
I am 15 and I use this, and it's ok, but there are some things I don't like. For instance, there are sometimes a few videos from a certain channel, but only a few. Like one of my favorite channels, How Ridiculous. There aren't that many of their videos for some reason. And most of them (that I've found) are the old ones where they do all the bottle flips. And, (this one really annoys me) the videos don't show the date of when they were posted, which is unfortunate. Also, the search doesn't work too well. But overall, it's actually pretty good.

The app does what is supposed to do in terms of offering just the approved channel, BUT, in the name of the lord who is the PM responsible for the Parental approval content? “This feature is for parents only”
i was tryna get a feel of how the app works, so i pressed a bottom button and it asked me to enter the year i was born (2007, i’m 18). it then told me, “this feature is for parents only”….i AM a parent trying to make sure my daughter isnt going into videos (like cocomelon) and other stuff i don’t want her watching. disappointed that they won’t let me even see what that button was for and to see if it was something to prevent my daughter from watching other things just cause im an 18 year old mom. other than that, good app. i hardly see any ads and when it is ads, it’s something for kids.

I mean it looks good but not much thought appears to have been put into the kid’s account implementation. For instance, any time my child is using YT kids in the YT app and I want to switch users, it literally shows my pin on the screen. Am I supposed to ask him to leave the room? It took me an hour or so to figure out how to allow channels to his Kids account. So I was testing out and a couple inappropriate videos were posted and I was just like “Oh a video I’m just gonna click it” and then it was inappropriate. On the other hand, younger for 5-6, pre for 3-4, and older for 7-8-9. (Hehe more review.) It is not uncommon for older kids because they are older and they have a part of their brain that is built. Not ideal for zeros and ones.(definitely not 0-1.) But make sure your kids are watching videos that are not giving them brain rot. Cause I got addicted and it was not good. Like, I appreciate that theres some MrBeast videos and some videos for older kids, but it is JUST. TOO. MUCH. COCOMELON! And, on that course, some of the searches in the bar show inappropriate searches below. Why? Is this a kids app, or an 87 year old's app?? I downloaded this app, and I thought it was incredible, so I made a profile and set for ages 9-13, but then I noticed that some not-so-kid-appropriate content was getting into this app. I was all like “this is supposed to be a kid-safe app, why is this stuff showing up?” I should have reset the profile to ages 5-8, but I didn’t.
