Decide what videos will help them make the most of their time online, then personalise individual profiles using custom content filters as they grow. – Help your youngest children learn their ABCs, nurture their curiosity and more in 'Preschool' mode. – Expand your children's interests to songs, cartoons or DIY crafts in 'Younger' mode. – Give your older children the freedom to search popular music and gaming videos in 'Older' mode. – Or, hand-pick the videos, channels and collections that your children can see in 'Approved content only' mode. Rewatch videos and bond over favourites Quickly find your children's favourite videos and the content that you've shared with them in the 'Watch it again' tab. Shape your children's viewing experience with parental controls Parental control features help you limit what your children watch, and better guide their viewing experience. Our blocking process aims to help keep videos on YouTube Kids family-friendly and safe – but each family's preferences are unique. Don't like a video or channel, or see inappropriate content? Flag it for our team to review. Set a screen-time limit Encourage your children to take a break in between exploring content. Use the 'Timer' feature to freeze the app when screen time is up so that your children can apply their new skills to the real world. This app is ok, but needs more settings to be good. It is a joke compared to main YouTube app. Issues: -blocked videos and channels will still appear in tab, or if you search for them; -if you want to unblock a video you can't, you have to unblock all; -block and flag settings are easy to reach by the kid(on Tv app); -no Start from beginning setting, you have to scroll to restart the video; -I left the Search active for an easy navigation, but there is no "easy" lock after that so kid doesn't reach it. -you can't do many settings from the Tv app; - in Restricted content mode you don't have s

For an app that is meant for kids, you have absolutely no filters that can be used to select what will be the range of shows that the child will have access to. Not even a simple one like language of the show or the channel. I am also missing an option to block the channel without accessing the video - why all the fuss and 5x screen rotation and math equation just to block a channel that I know I want blocked just from the title?? Awful recommendation algorithm
The app is ok-ish, responsive and well designed however the parental controls and recommendations algorithm are terrible. 1. I can’t understand why you cannot restrict the access to the channels you as a parent have subscribed the child profile too. 2. My daughter was watching content I consider inappropriate and have blocked those channels while I subscribed the profile to channels I consider acceptable. In spite of this, youtube continued to recommend similar channels to the ones I blocked based on the child’s view history rather than parents actions (block/subscribe). I think youtube should
