Description
Completely redesigned for 2014, iControlAV5 gives you complete control of your compatible Pioneer AV Receiver and Blu-ray Disc player using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
(*A note regarding AV Receiver compatibility: iControlAV5 works with compatible AV receivers. A complete list of compatible models is available below. )
Not only can you control the basic features of your AV receiver like volume, switching inputs, select the listening mode and power on and off. iControlAV5 turns your iOS device into an advanced remote control, giving full control (i.e. SOUND EXPLORER) of your new AV receiver, and in a fun and intuitive way.
Designed for both iPhone and iPad, the iPad version has a unique user interface specifically designed to take advantage of the iPad device's larger screen.
*Set the network standby --> "ON" beforehand, you can turn ON your AV receiver with iControlAV5.

Does not work / ne fonctionne pas
Does not work with the VSX-920 amplifier and many other models. The support link doesn't work, the iControlAV app doesn't work with Apple's new update, and Pioneer customer service doesn't know anything and isn't even looking for solutions and information. We are therefore obliged to find the old remote control. Pioneer is no longer the same quality 😡😡😡

It’s all in there, but...
For starters, all functions are in there (at least the ones I use). They are pretty intuitive and easy to use. But, it is absolute horror to navigate in the app! Going from volume to switching radio channels or internet station, switching from input select to listening mode,... or the worst of all switching from zone you which to control... you need way to much intermediate taps, buttons, taps to get where you want to go to control your device.
There is an absolute need for a more wisely thought through interface with smart shortcut buttons on every page.

Tient davantage du gadget que de l'application vraiment nécessaire pour tirer parti de son ampli.
Pour le lecteur bluray, c'est pire encore puisqu'il n'y a aucun retour d'information depuis le lecteur vers l'application.
Pioneer ferait mieux de se pencher sur un complément utile ou plutôt de corriger les défauts des amplis pour les fonctions réseau.
