NOT Suitable for irregular cycles

I do love the features of this app but it does not give me the option to accurately input my cycle days that are not on the average 28 day scale. I have to manually input my dates and do the separate math to make sure I have the right date tracking my pregnancy. If I put the right due date, it’s moved my LMP and date of conception to incorrect days. It is good for tracking but keep in mind if you don’t have 28 day cycle, this app will not calculate dates accurately for you if you need that. You will have to do the math yourself for the exact dates or use a different app/online calculator.

This app used to be amazing. Once they merged all the apps I lost everything. Only response I can get is I apparently I deleted my account and haven’t used it when it was used every month multiple times. Over 10 years of data gone with no explanation. UPDATE: I am blocked from Ovia support or just ignored. Proof is in the fact I have waited over a month, multiple emails sent, dms on socials, comments, even support in the app and no reply. After I email using another email, reply within a day. Once I replied back with my actual information, ghosted again. This is really terrible news for me

Favorite for years!

I’ve used this app for years now as it has walked with me in tracking cycles, trying to conceive now twice, pregnancy, and postpartum. I love the community features, the self care checklist, and the library of articles and videos! So many resources on this app! I have one suggestion. I would love it if the self-care checklists were saved in a way where I could look back on previous days and see where I have improved. Right now I can only see answers for the current day. Love the app… I just wish there was an option for mom’s experiencing their babies through the Nicu. Same with the Ovia parenting app! There’s not many pre term baby apps to choose from like there is for full term babies due to most being specifically linked to certain hospitals. Baby’s Name won’t let you select gender

I only use it for the baby names feature and for some reason this time around it only shows female names and it doesn’t allow adjustment in the filter section. They also restrict how you can set up your due date vs first day of period . Miscarriage experience

Ovia is a good app overall, but it failed me after an early miscarriage. It’s very easy to report a birth, but the loss side feels almost nonexistent. I thought I had ended my pregnancy in the app, but I still got an email saying “Countdown to baby — 34 weeks, 1 day” along with a line that said, “Your egg has not been fertilized yet, but ovulation is coming soon.” I miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks, so getting something that mixed pregnancy countdowns with pre-ovulation info was incredibly confusing and upsetting. I’ve been searching for a detailed tracking app that doesn’t charge the heck out of you. This is by far the best one I’ve found! You get so much detail and insight around your cycle, fertility, and so much more. It loses my data at least once a year.

I would like to give it 5 stars but I can’t. I have a login and I have had it for a long time. It does really well except when the app randomly boots me off the app makes me log back in and all the months of tracking is gone and I have to start all over again. I’m scared to update it in fear it’ll lose my data again. Mind you it’s lost my data 5 times now and I’ve had it since 2020. I have used OVIA for 7-8 years now and have loved it. It’s helped me to accurately chart my cycles and is usually spot on with predicting my period. It’s also taken me through two pregnancies! For pregnancy, their symptom list is incredibly helpful! But now that our youngest is 3, my husband and I want to begin NFP to not have to use condoms every time we have sex. Upon making this switch I was sad to find out that they have removed the cervical position log, which is an important clue to pinpointing exact ovulation. This app and the parenting app have been so helpful for my tracking and pregnancy journey, and now with my baby. I’ve used it multiple times a day for over a year! The only area I’d like to suggest improvements in is the anonymous chat/question feature. Can we have dates/timestamps put on posts? I had to manually tell this app everything. It would not allow me to delete an inaccurate entry so all my cycle data was skewed for the test of time. I used the app because I needed to figure out how my cycles were patterning after getting off birth control so I chose the “I don’t know” option for cycles assuming it would help me better predict when it would happen but it still made me choose a specific number interval for my cycles. Comprehensive, but emotional whiplash

I’m TTC and while I appreciate having an app that lets me log specific moods, symptoms, nutrition, etc so I can look for patterns pointing to fertility, I wish it just let me log things and presented data/patterns. That’s it. That’s all that’s necessary. The comments suggesting pregnancy, while well-intended, give a false sense of hope. Missing Major Health Events

I overall love this app to help me figure out where I am in my cycle. The chats tend to be generic about the same things. I get that but I am shocked at the fact that when I had endometriosis surgery, there was no way for me to indicate that. It’s a major women’s issue but doesn’t exist in the app as a choice. So the app kept telling me “time for a pregnancy test”. Uhhhhhh what? There are so many “symptoms” and other things I can enter - but not anything female operation related - a LEEP, ovarian cancer, endo surgery, nothing. Would love to see this addressed. Let’s get some funding for thes

All of my info gone! Updated! FIXED!!

The people at Ovia were very gracious after I wrote this review and reached out to help me retrieve my data! Apparently I had logged in 2 different ways. Anyway they were able to help me and I’m back in track with all of my data from the last 6 years! Thank you Ovia!!! I lost all of my tracked info from YEARS! I updated the app and now it’s like I started over 😭😭 My emails still seem to know what’s going on, but not the app. Please fix it and retrieve my info!!

Great app

First off I want to say that I love this app it really helps to track my menstrual and ovulation. Last month I found out I was pregnant so I marked it in the app unfortunately I found out I was miscarrying the next day. Now I am using the app to track my cycle so I can get back on track but I keep getting emails about tracking my pregnancy from Ovia and pop ups on the app about downloading Ovia pregnancy. I wish there was a way to stop it or maybe put in there that I am no longer pregnant. That should be an option because it hurts dealing with the loss of a child and being reminded of it every

Love this app! Best tracker I’ve used…BUT…

I absolutely love this app. I really like the variety and accuracy of symptoms that you can put and I like that you can also track sexual activity and fertility. Tracking your cycle with this app is super simple and easy and the little articles that you can read are very informative and helpful! My only complaint is that the birth control method I use is not available as an option in the birth control section, I feel like my information and cycle predictions would be much more accurate if I could pick the birth control I’m using. Currently, I use Nexplanon and the only options I see in my app

Overall I love Ovia. It’s a great app, simple to use as long as you’re logging all of your info. I’ve even suggested it to friends that are TTC and they are all pregnant with help from tracking with Ovia!! Here’s where I think thing could be different and helpful: Can we get an update that helps with reading these ovulation tests!? Maybe an option to take a photo in the app and it reads the test for you and is more accurate on the ovulation window. I started using Ovia not that long ago, and it has helped me tremendously! Fantastic app!

I needed something to track my monthly better than just paper/pen. Downloaded a bunch of different apps and they either required a subscription of some kind or was far too basic for what I wanted/needed. This app is everything in one and its brilliant and free! I can track everything from my monthly, to mood, to just basic everyday lifestyle - plus they have lots of resources and a chat section for any questions or comments.
