Are ad malfunctions intentional???
The ads on this app - and the playback surrounding them - are worse than any other app I’ve used, including free ones. You watch five ads in a row, then your show finally comes back on. Hope you don’t miss a line that’s crucial to the plot. Because if you hit that “go back 10 sec” button to go back and hear it, guess what? You get to watch the ads again! Need to hit pause within two minutes of an ad break? Time to watch the ads again! And don’t accidentally hit the side of your screen or guess what? I started my Paramount+ account because I really like the titles they have and wanted to watch them. It’s been a few months now and I’m heavily considering deleting my account because of how frustrating it is to use it. Bought Paramount Plus for The UFC content, I appreciate everything else they have to offer as well. The UFC setup is really nice and exciting, and yet much of the content simply isn’t available due to strange “bugs.” There being no real explanation for this and most companies not caring about these things that I assume they’re aware of is a bit unfair. Worst streaming app
This is the worst streaming app out there. It often doesn’t remember your place in episodes or even what episode you’re on. Opening the episode triggers a two-minute ad break and then scrolling to the correct spot triggers another. The average episode has four or so ad breaks already, so you end up watching 12+ minutes of ads for 30 minutes of show. And that is if you’re lucky, as the app crashes frequently in the middle of viewing. When that happens, you have to open it up and rewatch four minutes of ads just to get back to where you were. If you love watching ads, this is the app for you.

I have been using the app for a number of months, and it generally works well; however, there are a few problems that need to be addressed. 1) The most annoying is in the AppleTV device. We have both 3rd and 4th generation devices and they are both up to date. In news, the local news stations are supported when the application is first started. Overall login, account creation and tier choice all work well. App looks good. Search function? Garbage. Say you wish to see a specific season and episode of a show? It’s difficult. Not ‘click a couple extra times’ difficult, but ‘search for the show. Find an episode, click into the episode to start it, stop watching it and click again, locate the option to find other episodes, which *should* bring you to where you can see the seasons (hopefully). Pick a show that has some one off movies like South Park? It’s a mess and good luck, you can’t select seasons from that.’

The fact that both the app on the phone and the app on the Samsung Smart TV requires the user to stop and select closed captions for each episode is criminal. Almost all the apps on the TVs and iPhones have selected the closed captions for the app in one place and once you use the settings to select the closed captions you don’t have to go back and select the option every single episode, movie or series. Search doesn’t work
It’s frustrating that I can’t search for anything. No part of it works. I can’t find movies, actors, shows. Just waste time looking through everything to see if I can find what I want. Too many issues
I wanted to like the app but there are way too many glitches. Deal with it. For the amount each month it’s not worth the hassle of watching. I was watching Dexter and randomly through seasons 4-5 the audio description/narration started without me selecting it. I would go to the settings and the option was clearly deselected yet it would still happen. When writing this I'm not talking about the exclusives, company, or the people that are behind paramount I'm writing this to talk about the app as a whole. I really enjoy paramount+, it has my favorite shows, but lately I am very exhausted trying to watch my shows. Disappointed with “immersive view” and lack of full seasons for older shows
I used to like watch content on Paramount+. But there are two reasons that I am not interested in using their streaming platform anymore. First, they added an “immersive view” on Apple TV and it makes browsing shows/movies really frustrating. I’ve been paying for the premium version of paramount + for many months for my son and finally decided since we’ve tried canceling several times and yet I am still being charged I might as well log in on my tv and see if it worthwhile. First off it’s one of the most affordable ad supported streaming services on the market, but it’s good to keep in mind that you are getting a lot of ads for only paying $60 a year. Secondly, there are way too many technical issues on all devices, and the customer service is not good. Half of the time I can’t access my subscription cause the app won’t open on my tv or phone. Pretty good, but some issues.
First things first, this app is NOT truly 12+. If you are ‘Underage’ there’s just a kids section. It’s what my younger cousin uses, so I can tell you with certainty it works fine, yet to fail him. I get that Apple probably has some age guidelines, but I’m just saying it’s false in my opinion. Alright, with that out of the way, I just wanna say, I’ve been watching this ALOT. I’ve have the Paramount+ app already installed on my Philips 4k Smart TV and it was working fine a few months ago and now it just keeps saying “This video is currently unavailable please try again later” then i’ll get an error message and that has been happening lately whenever i try to stream my favorite movies and tv shows. I’ve tried disconnecting my internet, clearing the cache, uninstalling the app, redownloading it, signing out and in but still nothing plays. Too many problems
I’ve really wanted to like Paramount+ because I like a lot of the content it offers, but time and time again I get sucked in and hate it all over again. The iPhone app and Samsung TV app are dismal. I have so many video loading issues, timeouts, ad fails, syncing issues, and navigation response time problems that I can’t enjoy watching their stuff anymore. I cancel my subscription, months pass by, a deal comes around to sign up again, I think, “Maybe it’s got better?” and I’m back in the cycle. I pay for this service. I do not want ads. I DO NOT want advertisements. I want to choose the media I want to stream, hit go, and have it delivered in the best possible quality. THAT is what I am paying for, that is the service I want and I do not want anything that sullies the experience with unskippable advertisements. You don't understand; I AM in control here. We keep debating this and the simple fact is, I'm paying. You are the product. Get rid of these ads or I'll get rid of my subscription. Thank you. NO ads. Ever. Not when I'm paying for the service. Paramount App is unusable through Airplay
This is the most frustrating streaming app for iPad Pro M1. I can’t get it to Airplay over to my LG TV. I have 300mb down on Spectrum and a Ubiquiti Dream Router. Your app needs to be optimized better. Optimized being the word I’m throwing back at you since your app freezes on, optimizing “something” (playback maybe?). I’ll have to force close the app, start it again, start airplay, resume the show, watch it buffer on my tv. Wait for it to fail, watch my tv switch back to the airplay menu, turn off airplay on my iPad. Restart airplay, start the show, watch it buffer again, etc, etc, etc, in di

constantly freezing and crashing.
Update* clearly they don’t actually read these, because the developer comment told me to restart my device and relaunch the app. Then go to their help site for further information. I have already tried all of that as explained below on my original post, they just have generic work arounds that never work. Still crashing and still freezing. They don’t have a direct support with a live person to help either. Extremely frustrating. I just want to watch a show that only streams on this platform!
