Complicated subscription process
Subscribed to access magazines, but was unable to get past the subscription gate despite a successful Apple Pay charge. The activation link Magzter sends redirects to their homepage rather than granting access making the subscription effectively unusable.
Requesting a refund is equally frustrating. There is no refund option on their website. The only recourse is to email their support team and wait for a response.

Amazing app and support
I did buy one year subscription and when I change my phone to iPhone 17 Pro with a new iOS 26 the app was crashing, and it keeps shutting down. I did talk to them a few times. And they were able to fix it after me sending them a few crash report. Thank you very much for the support. I really appreciate it
For all those people who talks about paying the app is very clearly showing you you get free a few days and then you have to pay to view those magazine. I think it’s a good deal.

Impossible to cancel
Very shady company. Although the “Developer Response” to other people noting the same issue makes it seem simple to cancel, the approach Magzter recommends for people who sign up via website leads to a “404 page not available” error message. Also, I’ve now sent three emails to support, as directed on their website, and have yet to receive a response. Avoid at all costs.

Worthless to me
I am an American but every single magazine and newspaper only caters to everywhere but the USA. It’s kind of useless to me. Can’t find any United States newspapers at all. I don’t really care what’s happening in other countries, give me news about my country. No wonder the price per month/year is so low, there is nothing here for some people. And by some people I mean Americans. Not one US newspaper. Really? What a horrible service. Thankfully I have 7 days to cancel. I think I canceled in less than 7 minutes! What Good is Gold
I've been Gold for a while. It seems every time I login through my iPad app it advertises to become Gold instead of realizing I already am. You get access to a descent variety of magazines, but the one I really want. Family share is about all I see in it.
Also, after downloading my magazine, I get constant reminders it’s available weeks after I downloaded the magazine.
This software needs some fine tuning before it’s any good.

Can not cancel subscriptions
I have tried numerous times to cancel subscriptions to two publications. The link is almost impossible to find online. When I did find it, it just continually loads the page and never shows more than 3 bouncing dots. The ipad FAQ answer of going through the App Store doesn’t show anything. I can’t even find a link to see what payment method they are using! Disgusting!

Very few U S mags! Bait & Switch!
I purchased an annual subscription because of all of the U.S. magazines that they advertised that they have. Sure, they have them but you have to spend additional $ to get each individual mag. This is bait and switch in it’s purest form. You have to click on each individual title to find out that they only have Cosmo from India or Better Homes from Australia. I will not be renewing!

Once you sign up for the gold membership there is no customer service or support when have problems with the app nor can you get a refund after paying for a year in advance for the service.
They have the worst customer service in the App Store and I think a lot of the five star reviews are fake. The 1 & 2 star review are honest because that’s a problem I encountered with this company.
You’re be very disappointed with this garbage on your iPad.

Could be 5 stars … one fatal flaw
Great price and replacement for the awful Apple News app. They need to hire a real product manager who uses their product, and can see how some terrible design decisions should be (easily) fixed. For instance, after reading an issue, there is no easy way to delete it from your device. You must navigate in the app to some “downloaded” section, then find the issue you just read, then delete. Absolute worst design decision, and proof they are not actually using their own app, because this is just dumb. I bet tons of people simply delete this app because of dumb things like that. Gold subscription issues
I wanted to try the seven-day free trial to Magzter Gold to see how I liked the content and the app. However, after verifying my info through Apple and getting a verification email, I kept getting an error telling me that I don’t have a valid Gold subscription. I then sent an email to customer support and I was told I would get a response with 48-72 hours. In other words, the seven-day free trial is more like four or five days (at best). Sounds like another scam and I won’t be wasting any more time. I’ll just stick with Apple New Plus as it works like a charm without any drama.

Not USA titles
Most of the popular English language magazines are the Canadian, English or Indian version not US. And you can’t filter on county only language. Also you can’t tell until you open it up and start reading. It’s pretty annoying especially if you end up liking a product or recipe. There are really only about 10 decent US titles not the thousands they claim to have. They should just be honest and up front about what their product offers.

It was good when it worked right. I have had a Gold subscription for a long time, but there have been several times the app has suddenly dropped my membership, and I have to contact customer service to get it back. Lately, it does it every month, and customer service makes me provide them a receipt each time before they restore the subscription. It did it again today, so I cancelled my Gold subscription. Going with Apple News+ instead.

Advertises that they can give you 5,000 + magazines to read. The majority of them are useless. Most all credible magazines they list require you to buy a regular subscription to read. In some cases, the price you would pay through Magzter is more expensive than if you order directly from the publisher. What a scam. Been waiting 2 weeks to get back my promised payment.

Definitely a bad buy
The ads are very tempting - thousands of magazines available to read. The reality is very different. Innumerable magazines require additional subscriptions which are not cheap - they are far more expensive than direct subscription with the magazine.
The interface is not very intelligent. From the table of contents of a magazine, you cannot navigate to the story. Something one can do in a simple ppt or pdf. Zoom is rather limited even on the browser version.
All in all - I will not be continuing this subscription.

Can’t Cancel Subcription!!
I did the free 7 day trial and now I am trying to cancel it but it would not allow me! I saw online that I can cancel it through Apple iTunes, but Magzter doesn’t even show up as one of my subscriptions!
Also, the “Manage Subscription” on the Magzter website does not even work! It kept loading for 30 minutes and nothing popped up!
To the developers of Magzter, please fix this immediately! I just saw many reviews about this and it seems like you guys have not taken steps in improving this!
I have already emailed the company and hopefully they will respond soon because this is just unbelievab

App crashes Not worth. Very irresponsible team
I have iPad and I have installed the latest ios too. But the app crashes the moment I open news papaer such as "The Businessline" or any other news papaer. This I am facing last 3 months. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have informed 1 month back by Mail also. I was promised rectification in few days. After that new version on iPad has come but still it crashes. Not worth the subscription if you want to read on iPad

Even the bad reviews are fake. THIS APP IS TRASH!
DO NOT GET THIS APP!!! I was offered a free subscription and my card is being charged $9.99. There is no phone number to call customer service. I see the charges on my bank account but when I go on the Magzter app it says I have no purchase history. It says the same on my Apple ID so this is definitely a scam and I want my money back. I will not allow them to withdraw money on my account every month for this garbage app with outdated magazines. And the reviews are fake, even the bad ones because every criticism is followed with slight praise. They’re not fooling me one bit
