Changes Details Without Warning
I made a time change to my ticket, thinking nothing much of it. Wanted to leave later. I then realized on the day of that the app changed the date a whole day. I then had to panic to change it to the day I needed to depart. I then learned when it changed again, the train was leaving from another station in the city. Again no clear warning when the expectation is everything else is the same. Customer service refused to help me beyond telling me I could rebook for a fee. They refused to wave the fees caused by their bad app.

Terrible App
When it works it works fine, however not worth the risk using this terrible company or any third party company. Buy directly from Tranlines websites. This app said my platform was 1 but at the station it was actually 7 and left without about 50 people including myself. The only solution there was to buy another ticket for a completely different company at double the price. Never using this app again absolutely awful.

Doesn’t Work
I tried numerous times to book a same day return from Seville to Cádiz. Each time every time I got to the checkout phase I got a pop up message stating “something’s off track. Your selected fare has sold out, but other tickets are up for grabs. Please search again.” Every time I searched again the same fares at the same times were available. So I selected them again to the same results. So we have had to give up on this trip.

Literally the worst customer experience I’ve ever had - I honestly think the whole app is a scam. Ran into issues with my booking and tried everything - submitted 7 support forms that no one ever responded to. Called the call centre three times and was told a supervisor would call me back within 4 hours (was told this by Uwajl and Roshin) and I never received any call. I honestly can’t believe anyone would run a business this way. If you’re traveling Europe, and in particular booking from out of country I would avoid this service like the plague. There’s other much better options

No notice of train cancellation!
We arrived at the train station at 8 AM for our 9:18 train. We could not find our train on the departures board so we went to the ticket counter. Only then were we informed that our train had been cancelled a couple of weeks ago for track repairs. Not only did we not get a notice of this cancellation from Trainline, but the Trainline app was showing that our tickets were still active. After three trains and a bus, we finally made it to Venice from Siena around 5 PM (3.5 hours later than expected, causing us to miss one of our reservations). Lifesaver
Such a great app. SplitSave has saved me a lot of £££ over the past few months. Not being able to add your railcard to the app doesn’t bother me because you can still get the discount and you just need to show a different app to the person checking the tickets. The only suggestion I have would be adding a feature that allows you to tap on a disruption banner to be taken to the National Rail website to see the details.

What is the point of the app?
I cannot link my railcard to my account. There is no option (at least no visible one) to link an existing railcard. It keeps suggesting that I buy a new one. When buying the tickets, since the card is not linked it prompts me to verify said card at the ticket booth defeating the whole point of having an app. Why is navigating this app so frustrating if the end result remains to see a ticket booth.

My baggage was delayed at the airport, which made me miss my coach. There’s a section on the app to change or amend the ticket which Has to be done before the journey and it does not work. Rip off prices
I spent a weekend in England using this app and spent hundreds. Of dollars using the train system. I just got back to England and realized I could have taken all of those trains for pennys on the dollar and maybe spent 100 dollars instead of over 600 by using the tap method at the stations or buying the tickets from the kiosks. Would not recommend this app unless you know what the prices should be and can compare yourself.

Doesn’t give good seats
This is my second review today. First train was a bad seat but at least it faced forward. I requested a single seat in first class facing forward. This time I have the window seat at a table with three strangers in standard class and I’m backwards. Didn’t get even one thing right. I thought the app worked great and was easy to use. I liked that a link to my ticket appeared on my phone this morning. But I’ll delete it and just book direct with the train company next time. Or at least give the opportunity to pick our own seat cause this sucks.
