Zero Stars - ALARMS!!!!!!
Just switched from G6, which wasn’t phenomenal, but the G7 iPhone app is AWFUL!! It alarms EVERY THREE MINUTES if my BG is low or high. I click OK, but it goes off again. While treating a low, I don’t need critical alerts going off every 3 minutes!!!! I had to turn off the rising high, high, and I’m about to turn off the falling lows, and lows. But then what’s the point????!!!!!!! Horrible app developers!!!!!!!! F rating!!! You have GOT to fix this!! There’s a snooze for 30 minutes option for a reason…I need time for treatment to WORK before you remind me again. Critical alerts also s

Should respond properly to reviews
What is wrong with this app?
(1) The response to reviews is automated and dead linked. If people take the time to review your app to you should really try to treat them like and respond properly.
(2) The high and low blood sugar warning signals are the same
(3) User cannot note they have seen alerts and stop the stupid app keep throwing warnings every 5 mins (that’s not the same as silencing, think it through)
(4) The app interrupts videos, conference calls, CarPlay, everything… and can only be silenced by a complex multi step sequence which itself can be interrupted by the app due to poor rea

So Invasive/ Will Not Use Consistently
Apparently unpairing/ removing the sensor STILL results in critical alerts from the app until you pair a new sensor- for reference- these alerts break any DND/ sleep mode and are required to use the app… i guess I can turn them off in settings (freezes the app) this time rather than delete the app again
PREVIOUS If you’re fine with zero autonomy and being bullied by alerts regardless of what is happening in your life, this is the app for you!
- Alerts go off regardless of Settings-
- it also deems which alerts are “critical alerts” which override your system settings and CANNOT BE TURNED

It’s a good app, not a good use or notifications.
This app does what it’s supposed to, it shows me my blood sugar and syncs with my tslim x2 pump (most the time but that’s a tslim thing). Until a few weeks ago the notifications were manageable, urgent lows and failures were critical notifications, which are required for the app to even load. Now, ALL my alerts are critical notifications. Every single one of them. 185? Getting screamed at by the app. 79? Getting screamed at by the app. Every 5 minutes no matter what, It mutes your audio, stops recordings, disconnects devices like CarPlay or AirPlay devices, plays over phone calls, can’t be sil

Bad coding, POOR customization.
When blood sugars are high or low, the app will notify you over and over again until you silence it. You’re only alllwed to silence it for 6 hours at a time, which is ridiculous. The notifications lag your phone, pause any media temporarily, and you can’t turn them off no matter what you do! The app will stop working completely if you silence the notifications or turn them off with Apple settings.
App is also poorly coded. Every time your sugar is high or low, in the app it will have a pop up in app stating it’s low or high, when clicking over to the other tab to go mute it, it’ll pop up aga

Don’t Use Record a Voice Memo if you Blood Sugar Is Slightly High
Recently discovered that if you are recording a meeting with your phone for work with voice memos, if Dexcom wants to notify you of your BG, it will STOP the recording! Got in big trouble bc I was the sole recorder of a meeting and the voice memo of a 2 hour meeting is 4 minutes.
Again, horrendously done notification feature by the developers of this app. They clearly are onto something by sending you 2 of the same notification, AND stopping your music, not once, but 2 times. Don’t ever be playing music for your friends on a speaker when your blood sugar is slightly low after you had a snack

Frustrating user experience when engaging with alerts
Overall, the science and clinical features are outstanding, however, some frustrating user experiences could be improved. Specifically, when an alarm/alert goes off, and you acknowledge it, is also repeats on the phone or watch. Also, when you choose to take action on the alert on the app, there is significant lag and you have to wait several seconds for another alert to appear before you can take action- which is especially frustrating… because you are dealing with interruptions, the waiting for more alerts before you can return to what you were doing when you were interrupted. Love the new alert silencing mode option that was released recently!
The functionality to silence alerts throughout important planned events has been such a helpful tool! Now if Omnipod could also provide the same option, that would be great! One other thing I believe would be very beneficial is for there to be an option during hypoglycemic/hyperglycemic episodes to push an "I'm OK" button & leave a message letting your followers (friends & family) know you are alert & managing the situation appropriately. It really would save diabetics a lot of time & worry! Keep up the good stuff, and thank you for making life as a diabetic a little easier!

It’s awesome except random alarm repetition every 5 mins regardless of snooze setting
I have used the Dexcom CGM off and on (depending on insurance coverage) for the past 6-7 years. I love everything about the Dexcom, including the quick response when submitting a sensor failure report. I love the ability to set different alarm parameters for daytime as well as nighttime, including my preferred threshold for high or low glucose levels.
The main issue I have with the current Dexcom app system is that even though I have the alerts set with snooze on for 1 hour, I will receive alerts every 5 minutes for up to 30 minutes at various times day and night. It’s happened while driving,

Helped improve sleep but need to turn notifications on to Banner instead of sound
It helped me improve my sleep pattern . Waking up at 3am had something to do with hypoglycemia. I was first upset when the phone woke me up when my glucose fell under 70. But now I think it helped me realize I needed some behavioral changes and that I actually have some control of the app alert . By keeping notifications on, turning sound alerts to silent I can view the alerts on my screen as banners and it is much less annoying. But I also started to eat light healthier snack ( night time digestive) before bed and it improved my sleep patterns. So thank you. Maybe app could help users to feel

All alerts now critical. Unusable app.
The latest update has defaulted every blood sugar notification to “critical.” If my level goes above my goal range of 70–130, I am notified with the same sounds and vibrations as if, previously, it were to drop to a dangerous low below 55.
This means that every five minutes, if my blood sugar is higher than my goal range, my phone vibrates, makes a terrible beep, and won’t stop until I open the app and acknowledge it. I can’t do this when I’m sleeping. You can snooze alerts for a max of 4 hours. I need more than 4 hours of sleep. It wakes up my baby and ruins my night. In addition, conflating

The product (app) exists. But needs more love.
If you do not want to receive any notifications from the app it really punishes for turning them off within phone settings. It’s somewhat understandable, but the app should actually OPEN if one doesn’t have notifications on, and the app widget ESPECIALLY should still show data even if notifications are not on! Also, why wouldn’t there be a horizontal widget option? All you get is the 2x2 app block. For a graph, a horizontal view would allow for a much, MUCH better overview of trends over time while benefiting users of the feature significantly. Also, you can’t set time in the future for things

It's fine. G6 was better
I've been a user of dexcom products since the G5 days. I can confidently say that out of all the systems G6 has been the most pleasant for me. The pros of the G7: It's comfortable and small. The grace period on the system is nice, and the 30 minute startup period is awesome. The cons: I have found that most of the time it just frustrates me. The constant alarms with false lows are horrible, (I used to barely ever have to calibrate my G6) and when i do calibrate the G7 it doesn't take. It most often shows false lows in the middle of the night while I'm asleep and I find that it's hard to sleep

The signal loss notifications, and really the notifications in general have gotten entirely out of hand as of late.
The ones that are critical lows/highs or rapid falling or rapid rising: those I understand… but they do not need to be back to back every 2 minutes.. it already told me I’m 78… I don’t need to hear it immediately again or 2 minutes later every 2 minutes.. like please, at least have a way to shut off the incessant alerts if we wish to do so. Great app, but the audio hijacking is unbearable in a or the recent update.
The app works well for its primary purpose, but a recent update or behavior change has made it extremely annoying for daily use. I keep my phone on vibrate, and while I need the high glucose alerts, the app now forcibly pauses my music whenever a notification hits.
It’s even worse when I’m on my MacBook; the alert causes my AirPods to "steal" the connection from my Mac, switch to my iPhone, and kill my media playback entirely. This is a massive distraction and honestly a safety hazard when I’m driving and my navigation or music gets cut off.
Please fix how the app handles audio focus. Critical

Godsend, but old g6 alarms still going off?
I love my Dexcom. I don’t like the suggestion of arms as the only location for sensor placement. Hopefully it is just a suggestion and there’s no reason you can’t use the abdomen. Honestly it’s just a failure of Dexcom to not do studies on abdomen placement.
My current issue is my iPhone is alerting twice for low bs and stuff. It’s as though my h6 is still active and both g6 and g7 are alarming one after the other. I got a new phone so I deleted Dexcom all the way, searched to see if any other Dexcom programs were on my phone (no) then reinstalled Dexcom and it’s still happening. Also still h

I am beyond frustrated. My high setting was at 150. Suddenly a couple of weeks ago the banners stopped being temporary and are now permanent until I acknowledge it. What exactly happened here? All alerts are being marked as critical now and continue generating notifications immediately after being dismissed. This causes all sounds to be interrupted on my phone every 5 minutes if I have a high blood sugar. That includes music and videos playing on my phone, but also things like phone and video calls, which caused me problems while trying to schedule appointments today. It is also causing alarm fatigue, since I can’t dismiss them I am just learning to ignore them completely. The only way to fix it is turn off high BG alerts entirely, and that is clearly not

This app is my life
I was 8 years old when I got diagnosed with diabetes and I have only used this app. It has given me my readings as long as I have a sensor on. The G7 was an upgrade from the G6 in only the size. Other than that its range is shorter than the G6 (in my opinion) which makes it annoying when I leave my phone in another room. The only feature I wish I would add to the app would be being able to see all of your readings when you turn your phone sideways. The amount of times I have wanted to see my number at a similar yesterday but was cut off of the 24hours is a lot. You could make a slider to see p

Alerts not working - Serious Problem
Edit to add - Developer’s response was to provide an invalid link to their support page chat. No way to reach out to anyone or properly be reached out. They do not care.
Dexcom’s app does NOT alert you with sound if you have high or low blood sugar unless you turn your ringer on. Previous versions of the app allowed ALL alerts to come through as a critical alert, regardless if your ringer was on or off. Support makes you go through loops to get an answer of “restart. delete. refresh.” over and over. This isn’t a PERMANENT fix, at all!

This app might be fine on a dedicated device, but it is extremely slow, buggy and disruptive on a phone, so much so that I uninstalled it a few times just to go about my day. It is designed to be idiot-proof, which is good, but I wish they had considered that being idiot-proof and being designed for idiots are not the same thing.
Funnily enough, I just received a high alert, which reminded me of something that baffles me regarding the alerts: If you are using your headphones, the app will let the alarms go on your headphones at maximum volume. Your ears really, REALLY hurt when that happe

But there are a couple annoyances I have. First is that Dexcom removed one of my favorite features from the G6 app, which was the ability to put your phone in landscape mode to see a landscape graph of your blood sugars over various time ranges that you can click, and then DRAG YOUR FINGER along the graph to see a close-up reading of your blood sugar at that time.
