GAIL Gas Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited (A Maharatna PSU) and was incorporated in May 2008 for the smooth implementation of City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects under the Companies Act, 1956. It is a leading City Gas Distribution Company, which is poised to accelerate City Gas Distribution business in various cities across the nation. PNG MITRA is the mobile application GAIL GAS DPNG (Domestic piped Natural Gas) customers with the customer friendly features. Some of these features are as follow: • DPNG customer can sign in for app. with their allotted BP number. • DPNG customer can view following details though Dashboard: • Current Outstanding Amount • Last Payment Details • Payment options • Updating of Customer Profile • Details of Prices • SAHAJ – PNG MITRA is also containing self-billing process Self Meter Reading & self-billing process which make the procedure easy and quick. DPNG customer can do self-billing by entering current meter reading and capturing meter photo through this feature. • DPNG customer can view/download bill and pay their bills. • DPNG Customer can view their complete ledger of all transactions. • DPNG Customer Generate Ticket for any complaints/queries. • The Gas bill and Payments History available for current financial year and Previous Financial year. • Details of Emergency Contacts list of GAIL GAS Limited offices and Site offices addresses are available DPNG customer can download SAHAJ – PNG MITRA application for their DPNG UTILITY and utilise customer oriented features like self-billing, online payment, invoice history view and can have information about other important aspects.

Pathetic application

What a pathetic application it is developed. Even some basic functions are not working.I was not able to upload image of meter in self billing option. The button to upload was not responding anything.I logged ticket no update yet. I updated the version of application still did not work. Then I un-deployed the app and re deployed. Now I am not able to login in the app itself.

For an company worth more than 70,000 crores. The services they provided are extremely poor. I’ve applied for installation since 2023 February and still I’ve no clue when can i get it installed at my address. They act like a government company. Adani gas is much much better in providing services.

Salute to designer

Waste of time

This app is waste of time. “Self billing “ button never works, it shows an error “you are not reading” seriously? I am not reading what? Books. Again no body resolves the tickets for long time, and then suddenly status of the ticket is closed. And there is no way you can find your open tickets in the app.

Unable to copy and paste BP number. Atleast BP number should pop-up automatically based on user registration data. That also we need to type. Automatically invoice number should update. Many basic features are missing. Not suitable for common man. All government related apps are very bad user interface. People will prove they are government employees. (Even developers)

Most of the options are not user friendly. e.g In self billing what is lhs and rhs ? what is the purpose of having geo co-ordinates ? we must be able to generate bill by just uploading picture of meter in addition to taking picture. Support section says ticket closed but no resolution provided. Ticket was actioned after 5 months and closed without any resolution. don’t know how does Apple approves such app to be available in iOS store.

Technically, the app is OK but the problems lies with executives behind it who are not at all bothered about the queries/complaints of it’s customers who pay to generate their salaries. Reply to the queries raised on this app is extremely poor. I have 5-6 queries unanswered for past 4-5 months. Even one * is more, deserves a negative rating…Name MITRA is quite like NAAM BADE AUR DARSHAN CHOTE….👎

Better than old app , but still a long way to go. PNG Rate card section not working on app. No response from customer care over open tickets on this app. 2+ months no action yet. Doesn’t allow to upload meter readings, after raising tickets for incorrect billing resolution. Anticipated billing is a scam, far north of actual usage . No earnest from GAIL to resolve pending billing errors.
