Where do I start
This app is amazing and everything that i know now with cybersecurity and everything in between having +unlimited vpn access and +ad blocking capabilities is 10/10 quality and I recently had some trouble with two subscriptions and I emailed them and they handled it and that’s why I’m making this review because I got charged double and they returned the money which is obviously 10 out of 10 company and product of cybersecurity I will definitely be buying more products in the future from Netgear

Can’t stop vpn without deleting app
On 13 inch iPad, there is no way to get to the button to stop the vpn. I have to delete the app in order to stop the vpn. The button is barely visible on the 11 inch iPad, but at least it works there. *Update*. Support replied and wants me to context them. No, hell no! I am not wasting my time. They have known about the issues with iPads at least since August 2025. Not acceptable and I will not waste my own time for an issue the refuse to fix; especially without significant compensation. Without on-device virus scanning, this app is longer useful
At one point Netgear Armor included a subscription to Bitdefender mobile security. This was useful to guard against viruses that were resident on the device. Unfortunately, Armor now only supports dynamic scanning, meaning it will block viruses from being installed only if you are using Netgear Armor VPN. Since I have several different VPNs for various reasons including work I cannot rely only on Netgear Armor VPN. Armor is still useful if you are willing to commit to only one VPN that is on at all times, but doesn’t work for me.

Love the App, (Scam Alert though, keeps dropping off line)
Love the App, Features are great and simple piece of mind… however, recently the Scam alert has shut off and says action is needed, (setup). However, when I go to turn on future or complete setup, it’s keeps telling me something went wrong and to try again… I’ve tried deleting app and reinstalling it… unfortunately same results every time. I think a fix is needed with a new update, nothing I e tried on my end has corrected the problem. Would have given 5 start if this feature worked and was more reliable… until then, 4 Stars it is.

FRAUD!!!!
Paid $100 for armpit service and after my router took a shift (just past the 90 day warranty so they claimed... sorry I purchased a 5 yr extended warranty so they couldn’t weasel out of not replacing my router. I still had to shell out $36 bucks for shipping for a product within the warranty period and for a Hardware Failure. Here we are 2 months since I received the replacement router and it has also taken a giant “shift” and has locked even NETGEAR out of it and will not factory hard reset after multiple repeated applications it’s a brick and they claim my warranty was for the original route

Hope that you never need support
We paid for the bitdefender security that‘s offered by netgear. Worked fine for the first year, renewed before our service ended but the renewal status has not been updated to our network in 3 months and counting. We‘ve called tech support, we‘ve done tech support chats and emails, no one seems to want to help, they do whatever they can to get you to end the call or chat and tell you someone will call back or follow up. VPN portion won’t let websites load most times
Almost every website will load with auto vpn but like when reading articles and such it won’t let the browsers load all the way. This is even on home WiFi. I delete the app and everything speeds up 1000% and loads everything. What’s up with this? iPhone 13 Pro Max. Have tried this for two years now and still the same thing. I have been using Bitdefender for a couple of years now and this latest product does not disappoint. I have it installed on three of my own devices along with a couple of my family’s devices and we have had no problems at all. First, I feel that the security scan for viruses is great. Awful wifi issues and battery drain with iOS
Not able to load the customer support window to put in a complaint about intermittent wifi issues and battery performance issues after having the app on my phone for a year. Apple says my battery life was impacted by the vpn and causing intermittent wifi /cellular issues and recommends turning it off which is not possible without uninstalling. Experiencing all sorts of Internet connectivity issues the moment I installed this BitDefender app. It uses a VPN as part of its protection solution, and that is a source of major headaches… Some services don’t work with VPNs, like Netflix. Horrible VPN
Honestly I had never downloaded a VPN for our entire web connection before but we love our Orbi and had some security issues pop up. Orbi suggested we purchase it and add all devices to it so we did. As far as the other devices in the house no one has claimed to have a issue with it but my phone on the other hand will go on these longs bouts of not being able to connect to the internet so I have to turn the VPN off or the Wi-Fi and then browse whatever or turn off VPN and just use my mobile data then other occasions that would also freeze on an iPhone 12 Pro no less and I would have to switch

Installed on iPhones: 8Plus and 12Pro. I knew this app would keep an eye on our surfing. Every time my husband would read his sports apps it would "block malicious" sites. Always centered on an add on a page. He always ignored them anyway. Would also block spam. Never figured those out. Useless and Netgear Doesn’t Even Understand or Support It
Look at the forums regarding Orbi and Armor security. There are issues with Orbi and implementation of Armor, activation of subscriptions and on and on. My Orbi router, from within the router’s app, prompts users to download this app to protect mobile devices; however, once installed, Orbi never recognizes the devices as protected. I’ve rebooted, uninstalled ,reinstalled, etc., same result. No one at Netgear seems to be able to answer how to get this to work and good luck getting a hold of someone at Armor or Netgear. Terrible security service it tries to block basically everything
This security app is horrible, it’s probably safe because it considers basically everything spam and a threat. Honestly if I wanted that I could just unplug the Internet and that would not cost me $100. Not clearly understood!!!
It appears that the program is doing many things simultaneously. It is not clear however, what each function actually accomplishes. There should be a little explanation or pop up for each to clarify what it is doing and what the results are. Also, an invite to install took me to a menu of different contacts when I touched the install button. That gave me no idea whatsoever of how to install Armor which was part of the invite. I was excited to add this end point protection to my iOS mobile devices. However, after installing it, it proved too buggy for me to keep. I have now uninstalled it after having it for 24 hours. Several times throughout the day it would stop all browser traffic on my iPhone and iPad. The only way to restore connection was to disable this app’s VPN. I look forward to using it in the future but it’s not usable in its current form. Perhaps it worked well at one time and an iOS patch broke it. I would also like to see more documentation on how exactly this app and its VPN adds security to the Netg

Issue with new VPN and Web Protection (New Feature)
My very high speed internet was no match for the New Web Protection VPN. My connection kept getting slower and slower then it stopped working all together on the devices that I was testing the new VPN web protection on. I could only access my internet by turning off web protection and the VPN. I am guessing this new feature is having growing pains. Please fix it, it is a great feature when it works correctly. Very Disappointed
I installed this along with the Orbi App, I really wanted this to work but only ended up being disappointed. I even just walked away from it for a day in hopes that I was too tired and frustrated with it. Nope! You would expect more from these two companies: very basic, doesn’t really do anything, no way to dismiss an alert, for example I installed it June of 2019 and it gave me an alert that my DropBox account may have been compromised and I should change my password. Date of alert... sometime in 2016. Now it just sits there and never goes away. Don’t get me started on the Orbi App and
