The app itself works fine. The problem is that if you want to use it on iOS they are asking for full permissions over your photos, so not limited. They even want the data containint financial information, bank accounta, very private photos if you have, they want it all. How is that even possible, why aren’t these sort of things regilated? Why would I just give all my information? If you are not giving them full access to your photos and videos they will not let you use the application afater they tricked you into storing your data on their free of charge storage just to mine your data, limit

Playing videos in slow motion
I bought a new phone so a I can make more videos of nature. I even subscribed for a higher plan on Google One so I have more storage.. It hit me like a train that it was a waste, since 120fps videos, one of the reasons I bought this new phone, was NOT SUPPORTED BY GOOGLE PHOTOS. It automatically converts them into slow motion WHITOUT AN OPTION to turn it off!! Outrageous. I’ve used Google Photos since I used my phone. Now really I have to look after a new cloud solution because of this BUG??

Worst app ever
This app is horrible. I had lots of photos and videos in that app. One day, ireceived a message that i occupied all my free memory and i went to delete some videos from Google Photo. Bad idea. I deleted 3000 videos, like importsnt videos that i already had in my gallery. Today i was randomly searching through the gallery and i noticed i have only 88 items.. All of them are GONE. LITERALLY GONE! The worst app ever. I use this app from almost 10 years and this never happened to me.

When attempting to download multiple photos to my phone, the app consistently throws an error: 'Problem while saving. Please try again later.' or crashes entirely. This issue persists regardless of whether I am trying to download 10 or 1000 photos at a time. I am forced to make 3-4 attempts for every batch of 20-30 photos to save them to my device.

The app keeps crashing literally non stop, I've updated, I've tried everything, it's the only app from the Google family (to my knowledge) which behaves in such manner for iOS. I can't even comment on its features or ease of use if it cannot stay open and running for longer than 30 seconds. It's my first time ever leaving a review, that's how much this app annoys me. Good, but can be better
What’s missing for me out of the google photos app is the ability to organise albums into groups of folders. I am really missing the folder like structure that google drive for example provides. Old photos and videos I have that are really well organised in the windows hierarchy should be flattened out to a single level and I don’t to do that.

Serious privacy issues
Now I cannot acces my photos until I set permissions to Google Photos to acces all my pictures. I have photos like WhatsApp photos and other media files that I do not want on Google cloud and eat up my space. I am paying a subscription to Google for Photos and backup.

a feature which needs attention!!!
it would be good if Google Photos would synchronize with Apple Photos ——>the albums!!! which now is not done! it's incredible that after so many versions and updates it is still not doing it!!! and we need to manually sort out the photos in albums again , once they are transferred to google photos. it‘s incredible the software developers didn't thought of this!!!
