MONEY GRAB - DO NOT DOWNLOAD
I liked this game at first but there comes a point (early on, I will add) where you literally cannot progress unless you spend real money. There is a ‘crystal’ currency in the game. To earn crystals, you need 3 stars on a level. To get 3 stars, you need to make ‘in game’ upgrades to your diner that cost those crystals. Some upgrades are 150+ crystals which is impossible to get if you only receive a few crystals per level. So you get stuck in a catch-22: you can’t upgrade → you can’t earn 3 stars → you can’t progress. There are reviews from 10 YEARS AGO that mention the same issue and it still

The game has potential don’t get me wrong , but why give challenges that require you to use diamonds that cannot be earned in the game? It only gives me an option to BUY diamonds… not counting the 1 minute ad you could voluntarily watch for just two diamonds!!! This game is so fun because it adds more to the original penguin diners, but there’s some things that need changing for it to be better. My first complaint is that it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE to earn enough gems for the upgrades that are necessary at every restaurant, my next complaint is that the game ends quickly. There’s only 3 restaurants that you get through pretty quick, so it’s not even worth it to buy gems because the game doesn’t go on. I want to echo the difficulty others have expressed with acquiring gems. However, my biggest complaint is how glitchy this app is. I’ve gotten stuck on loading screens several times. My last straw was when it got stuck on an ad (I was trying to earn some gems). The ad wouldn’t load, got stuck on one screen, and didn’t have an option to exit. This ultimately made the game unplayable. Bummer because I’m a big fan of all other penguin diner games.

The first game was awesome, unfortunately too little to expand or buy. The second game is very similar and a little too easy. This game unfortunately has fallen prey to in app purchases, many challenges are impossible without purchasing gems for items like dishes and extra tables. However it looks like a longer and more expansive game, which is exciting but how much cash money are you willing to spend to get there.

So first off, I love this game! So cute and rly fun I found it from penguin diner (the non 3d one) also super fun btw!! Well anyways, I was playing and I’m on the seventh level of the first diner. In order to get three stars in the level I need to get the lobster dish, I didn’t have enough crystals so I bought the starter pack with 1000 crystals and some other things for 4.99. I went back into the game and was going to get the lobster dish but my crystals were still at their original amount and I hadn’t gotten any of the other things. The game is relatively fun, but not nearly as much as the other games. I’m stuck now because I can’t play further because I don’t have enough stars, but that’s because some challenges that will give you the star require that you buy upgrades. However it’s impossible to buy these upgrades if you don’t have enough crystals and you can’t get more crystals because you can’t complete the challenges. You’re essentially stuck in a loop. Problem could be fixed if the upgrades were made cheaper or there was an option to watch ads to gain crystals at any point you want. Some of us don’t have the option

I love this game a ton, I used to play it when I was in middle school and recently redownloaded it, it’s super easy and really cute but it feels like one of those “pay to win” games. With certain levels early on, the challenges require items you need to spend gems on, people say you could grind for the gems but the game won’t let you progress until you get a certain amount of stars which means you kinda HAVE to buy gems to progress. What kept me playing the first game was the super satisfying sounds of the skates, customers, plates, etc. The story also kept me entertained. And to top it all off, it was free!! Best idea I’ve had in years! It’s super duper fun and it’s A LOT more detailed than the first version. I definitely recommend getting it. Unlike other people I never really worry about the gems or coins. That might be cause I just got the game but otherwise I don’t really have any bad stuff to talk about the game! It’s so fun so definitely get it if you want a more detailed version of the game. It’s also a bit funner
