Update is terrible again

Update: you don’t get credit for all of the digital coupons, even if you follow the terms to the letter. Seems fraudulent. Not okay to take advantage of us when grocery prices are growing and growing. They fixed the cart. That’s it. I don’t like the update. I thought it would be smoother and easier, but instead it’s very buggy. It’s laggy. It’s a pain to go through coupons b/c it’s impossible to smoothly go back to where you were on the coupon page. A step backwards! Shopping From Favorites No Longer Works Properly.

The latest update to the Smith’s app has made one of its most useful features practically useless. Before the update, I could shop directly from my Favorites list and easily add items to my cart while seeing current sale prices. Now, the Favorites list seems to be nothing more than a reference page. I have to scroll through it to see what’s on sale, then switch to “Shop from List” and try to remember which items I wanted to buy because the shopping view doesn’t display the sale information or sale prices. This creates an unnecessary back-and-forth process that makes shopping far more frustra

Search Function Needs Improvement

The app is nice to have and it makes access to the coupons easy. However, when searching for items to create a delivery or pick up order, the search function is awful. I typed “Tortilla chips” and no chips at all showed up. I typed Dorito’s bc typing “chips” gave me sushi items and the dried banana chips, but that only pulled one item—a jerky with dorito flavoring. When trying to grocery shop on the app, I’d recommend going through Instacart. The search function not working well has made online grocery shopping a cumbersome event, when it should be easing my busy mom life.

I gender I want to add more than 1, it opens the item up and then I have to increase. This is an incredible waste of time. I have also had multiple shopping carts completely disappear!! We add groceries throughout the weeks as we find items we need to restock, and then spend a couple days doing the meals, so having the cart just completely empty itself before I place the order is detrimental. Like many here recently, I’ve been fighting with this app update for the last couple months. It used to be so easy, shop coupons and add to the list, shop ads and ad to the list, go to your list and easily add things through search from the list. Too busy & complicated in store

Digital coupons are tiresome. Can’t just get them all because it’s all about advertising not customer satisfaction. Having to bend down or sit on floor to try to scan QR codes is insulting and demeaning. Frequently doesn’t work. Some go to internet browser and fail. Kroger app ones have a chance but one rarely knows if it succeeded. No way to double check at checkout until trying to decipher paper receipt and then it is too late. CANNOT SAVE OR CHG DELIVERY TYPE FROM CART

Big waste of time. You add your entire grocery list, then finally get to checkout screen only to discover some items are marked as EITHER Pickup Only or Delivery Only … meaning you won’t get them. When you try to change the delivery type (Delivery to Pickup, and vice versa) to ensure you receive all of items in your cart, you CANNOT. Once your cart contains items, you’re stuck with your original Delivery/Pickup method. Updates are terrible

The updates are terrible and not user friendly. Before, the search button was at the top of the page of the Home Screen & you could quickly and easily search. Now you have to click on the bottom right, which then takes you to another page where the search box is at the top of the page. What’s the worst part of the update is how you can no longer click on an item’s picture and enlarge the image. You used to be able to, but not anymore. So now if I want to read details of the item, I have to take a screenshot on my phone to be able to zoom in to read it. Go back to the old version!

I wouldn’t put a grocery store app at the top of any exciting list but it at least used to work! Digital coupons not showing up, search function won’t actually search even on my stable, fast internet connection at home where everything else loads fine. I’ve used this app for years for my weekly pickup orders, I feel like it’s always been a bit buggy, the website too. The design on the new update is not user friendly, or very intuitive. Having the cart icon disappear when you click search, and not having it come back unless you click another icon is bad design. Whoever created the update for Boost delivery, should be fired!!! When first using the update, I had no idea after clicking delivery, you’re suppose to click paragraph underneath that talks about same day delivery. Unfortunately I think I will need to stop using this app after years of loyal use. It’s become useless for list making. I’m finding it really difficult to use the app after the redesign. I use this app multiple times a week to shop at Smith’s. Since recent changes, it has become so hard to navigate! Adding things to a list should be the default option, but for some reason it goes to a “cart”. You have to find the tiny “list” icon to get it in the right place. My biggest complaint about the update is that I used to be able to add items to my LIST easily from the shopping Home Screen. Now it just wants to go straight to a cart. Has someone else pointed out? It’s a pain in the neck to be playing with the app scanning things. Phone in and out of your purse, locking and locking your phone. It definitely gets the job done and I’m grateful for that, but the user experience around lists is a bit rough. It’s unclear how the active list is chosen and you can’t manage it yourself. Can’t order online anymore

I quit ordering my groceries from Smiths because every time I try and order them I go through the process, and about half way through everything in my cart gets deleted… and I have to start all over again. I have tried everything to get this app to work properly again and nothing has worked. I’ve come home from picking up my groceries and multiple times thought I was crazy because I knew I had added something into my cart, and finally I realized that things were getting deleted before I even made it to checkout. Glitchy lately

Recently my cart keeps dropping items. I ordered a ton of groceries today and when I got home, over 30 items were missing. I looked on my receipt and I didn’t see them which means the cart dropped them. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I always LOVED this app but I am getting really frustrated. Glitchy App

This app continuously glitches. How many times do I have to add things to my cart before they stay in there? It seems like the problem is occurring more frequently but this last time we ordered I had to go through my list and add the same things sometimes 3+ times and we still ended up missing things from our list. Lately I haven’t been able to use this app at all because when I click the search field to type something in like I use to the screen freezes and doesn’t even bring up my keyboard to type. It’s been like this for over a month now. Nothing that I click on the app properly triggers my keyboard to come up so I can’t search for items and also the barcode button to scan is frozen and doesn’t work when I click it. This has got to be the worst shopping app ever created. Every single time I open it, I get frustrated and end up ordering from Target or Walmart (eww). I just spent the last four hours on the phone with three different customer service people trying to get my online order to process. It turns out the reason it couldn’t was because I moved. Years ago you had to have your Fresh Values card for the in-store coupons and discounts, now you need your card AND this stupid app to get the in-store discounts. Nothing like adding more layers of frustrations on your customers.
