A big update this time around.
New on the map: a 6th style — 3D — to help you get your bearings in the bigger cities. And every map style now responds to a two-finger tilt, so you can lean the map back and look off into the distance to see what's ahead.
If you plan with the itinerary, there's a lot here for you:
- Dates are now supported, including multi-night stays in the same town.
- The stage banners at the start and end of each day tell you far more now.
- Notes you add in the online planner come along for the ride — they import straight into the app.
- City pages now show what you've booked, whether it's confirmed, and how you booked it.
- The map can walk you through your itinerary one stage at a time.
And the route page handles those long lists better — it trims itself at your starting point, with an easy tap to bring the earlier places back whenever you want them.

I've also refreshed the route tracks with cleaner elevation profiles and a few corrections, updated a number of albergues with the latest information I have, and fixed a few bugs along the way.

This release brings the map to life. Tap the new Layers button for points of interest — churches, monuments and castles from Wikipedia, plus drinking fountains, viewpoints, ruins, picnic areas and pharmacies along your route, each with its own info card. I've redrawn every map pin for a cleaner look, pilgrim comments now appear in your language wherever I have a translation, and the map no longer snaps back to your location while you look ahead. New: Notes. Leave yourself a note on any town, albergue, or stop on the route, or drop a pin on the map — water, viewpoints, photo spots, places you want to return to. The first major update of the year, this version includes updated pricing and opening seasons.
Under the hood are several performance changes, with a thorough rewrite of the code to make sure that all devices are working properly.
AND it introduces a new feature which allows pilgrims to inform 'El Sabio, the Wise Pilgrim Bot' about the status of albergues, so you can help your fellow pilgrims to know what albergues are full.

This update does two things at the same time.
It introduces the ability to send updates 'Over the air' meaning that if there is a change in telephone number, or price, or opening hours of your accommodation I can get them to you faster. The is important at the moment since the hiking season is beginning and many albergues are making last minute changes.
New routes will still be delivered via app store updates.

This release introduces a dark mode for lights out albergue users. And it greatly cleans up the UX to make more content more visible.

Feature Update: Introducing the WhatsApp Message Maker: A simple tool to help you initiate a conversation with the albergue or hotel owner to check for availability and request a reservation. It automatically translates what you need into a short request, and from their you can finish the deal directly with the property owner.
