Picture in picture and app exit issues
Nobody is trying to turn on Picture in Picture to STAY IN YOUR APP! Get rid of that button. Make it so if a user swipes out of the app while something is playing Picture in Picture starts automatically. (Like every other video player app on the planet.) Also along the same exact line of issue. i’m a completely blind who user who has no vision at all. I use Apple‘s VoiceOver screen reader built-in feature in iOS 26 ever since iOS 26 has come out. Worst company ever any time you go on vacation or if you’re moving or somewhere that isn’t your house you can’t use it I have no idea why my wife pays $200 or something insane for this we started when it was $39 for live. They have raised the price many times on us over the past 5 years. Used to be something I was grateful for, now it just feels like I’m being scammed. I want to have shows with ads, I don’t see it worth the price else wise and can find them to be overall productive in my life. Imagine the worst parts of every streaming app in one. The ui is borderline unusable. The search function rarely gives you the series you want. The recording or add to my stuff is confusing and unnecessary. Setting a series ir sports team to auto record has yet to do anything. Accidental clicking of episodes
I like being able to watch/listen to tv shows on the go or when doing chores around the house. The problem is when I have my phone in my hand while in the app. It will automatically switch to portrait mode depending on how I’m holding it and I’ve accidentally hit one of the recommendations underneath the show that’s playing. Why not just have it kept in widescreen mode like some other apps? I can use the orientation lock but it’s a bit clunky if I have to exit the app. Also, exiting the app is a bit clunky as well. I love the app except for the sheer amount of ads there are. I hate ads in general but if I’m going to see some at least personalize them. I keeping seeing ads for metastatic breast cancer and severe to moderate eczema every few minutes. The ads aren’t even serving their purpose because I don’t relate to them at all. Overall, this app is good and reliable. However, I have one major beef that has finally driven me here to write a review. My wife started watching Dr. Odyssey and then abandoned it out after two episodes. Dumb app can’t fast forward through credit or preamble without the controls freezing. Then it crashes when the pesky ads come on. If you’re air playing to apple tv it will play half an ad in an infinite loop and never resume the actual content unless you restart the app, play the ads on the device, then restart the air play. I am a college student so I pay for the student plan, knowing there will be ads. But the amount of ads are getting too out of hand. Sometimes a 40 minute episode will contain four to six ads that are around 1 minute and 30 seconds each. That is approximately up to 10 minutes worth of ads, and ads go off every few minutes. When I pause a show while it is playing the show and not playing an ad and I come back to resume the episode, it plays an ad. Even when I playback, it still replays an ad that was already watched. Live tv doesn’t work on my phone anymore
I have no idea what’s been going on since the last few updates. I never used to have a problem watching live tv on IPhone but here lately it’s almost messed up. A few months back I talked to a support person and we ended up having to delete the app and reinstall to clear the cache and it worked again. But then suddenly it stopped again and I’ve tried to doing this multiple times and it’s still not working. A lot of glitches and bugs that are frustrating.
So many issues I’ll need to make a list:
1) doesn’t remember where you left off on a show, you go back to it and it’s seemingly random where it thinks you left off. Anywhere from an episode behind to never having watched it at all.
2) the ads frequently glitch, sometimes getting stuck in loops, freezing, or you’ll get to the end of the ads and it’ll glitch and start all over.
3) sometimes gets stuck transitioning from an ad break back to the show, refreshing makes you go back to the beginning of the ads just for it to do it again.

I’ve tried just about all of the streaming apps and this one is by far the worst. It’s so glitchy that at times it’s completely unusable. It is so glitchy that is actually extremely annoying. After you finished watching all the ads and the counter reached 0. The screen will be locked with the ad last screen frame while whatever you were watching will start quietly running on the background. You press 10 sec forward you will only hear (not watch) the show but lost 10+sec of what happened. If you press 10 sec backward after that to go back to watch what you have missed. The ads will start playing again. After that the glitch will kick in again and you are left with two option. 1) either stuck in there or 2) ignore the show climax

Absolute Garbage - Unwatchable
Disney keeps increasing Hulu’s prices while adding very little good content and never fixing bugs. After the last price increase, I switched to their plan with ads and the bugs are even worse. It’s literally impossible to watch through an entire episode or movie. Every time a series of ads starts playing, at some point during an ad, it will freeze. The ad countdown keeps going, but doesn’t resume the show/movie when it expires. The only thing that gets you out of it is to close the app or back out to the main menu. They make their problem yours
You call for customer support because their app is not working and make you go through 20 questions before they will reset your home location for you. Why do I have to spend 20 minutes on the phone to do this? And why can they do it on the phone and won’t let the app just do it automatically? Plus, their support people talk down to you, are rude and not helpful.
Update: how is it that this app is so inferior??? You cannot watch a show while it is recording, you have to wait until the program is over. And when you record something and then go to watch it, it starts at some random point. Re
