Best place for music discovery
If you take your underground music seriously then Soundcloud is the best and only option. You get tunes before they appear on the major streaming services, if they ever get there at all due to licensing issues, which can be the case for underground tunes sampling other artists. The UI also smokes all other music apps. I use Soundcloud far more than Apple Music in the end as it’s simply just a better all round experience for serious music lovers.

Soundcloud Is Broken
Soundcloud is still massively broken!! Reach is non existent, support is ai, images don’t load, sound quality keeps being downgraded, I used to get thousands of listens now I’m lucky to get 200 per song! Soundcloud appears to be dying, there’s no way to promote in app, and it marginalises artists. You won’t make any money here no matter how good your material is! It’s just another distributor/ publisher rip off like all the others! Seriously, this deal is non exclusive which means you can post your music everywhere so do it! If they can’t generate some pocket money for you go elsewhere!

1/5 — Potential platform, non-existent support
Paid for Artist Pro for three months and couldn’t use it due to a bug between SoundCloud and the Apple login system — a login method their own app supports. When I contacted support they told me they couldn’t help because I signed in through Apple. That’s not a customer’s problem to solve. More recently I accidentally purchased an Artist Pro subscription on the wrong account. Contacted support. No response. SoundCloud has genuine potential as a platform for independent artists. But customer service at this level is unacceptable. If you can’t support the login methods your own app offer

My biggest gripe is not being able to order playlists from most recent added (so you have to scroll your whole pl). SC use to be really good with showing me new songs but now they’re showing me the same 10 songs. Getting annoying.

Bring back the select option
The is app is great because of the variety and selection of music you can choose from, sure it might not give you the highest quality of audio but it’s still hits hard. The one thing that made this app amazing over the last year was a small little button called select that allowed you to choose multiple songs at once and either queue them or add them to a playlist, it’s now gone and I want it back pretty pleaseeeeee!!!!

I play 1 song then get a 30 second ad, then play a song and immediately get another 30 second ad it makes the app unbearable and almost impossible to use properly. Hello, I love the app. Just got a few bits of feedback, firstly I believe it would be fantastic to allow people to have more control over what their profiles look like. Atm you cannot control what order people see your playlists and reposts UI is quite unhelpful for displaying what songs you want to show off the most.

Very glad to have moved here from the evil Spot …, but there’s lots of tracks not available or much harder to find the original of. The app generated playlists aren’t that good, they’re frequently full of different versions of the same songs. And if you save one you like it’s different the next time you play it. Also there’s no track/album information or lyrics unless the artists upload it, which no one does.

Whats with the download button? I download music to listen to on a long drive and now I can't listen to any of them even though they have the "downloaded" symbol next to them, WHY DOES IT SAY THAT IF ITS NOT TRUE. Absolutely number 1 when it comes to music choice. Independent artists? They’ve got it. Live DJ sets, they got those too. Outstanding. The player interface is rubbish, when I want to play a set in the car that i’ve already been part listening to it never holds that place on CarPlay, so the only way you can find where you were is to remember where it ended last time and grab the phone and scroll to that bit…..impossible if you’re in the car and already driving so you have to pull over, it’s just really inconvenient and frustrating. My first review was just removed (?) No idea why. What is with removing “Latest Tracks”???!!! This was the single most useful feature on here. SC had been one of my most resourceful sites to dig for new music for over 16+ years and used it for my DJ mix uploads.
