Audio books and podcast content will temporarily pause while Get Running coaches you, and then resume, so you never miss a word. • Get Running 1.12.0 has various tweaks to the user interface. The major change in this update is single-sign-in for Twitter and Facebook; robustness improvements to posting; and use of the built in tweet sheet when you write an update yourself. We've also made a small change to when runs are added to you log – they're now completed as soon as the warm up starts. Oh, and: NEW ICON! … Shiny New Icon! By popular request, Get Running now supports up to four users, each with their own settings and running log! Get your husband / wife / sister / brother / best friends running too! iOS4 and iOS3 are fully supported. If your device allows multitasking, you'll be able to use an application like Run Keeper at the same time as Get Running to GPS track your runs. The audio coaching has been further improved, and lots of tweaks have made their way in to the graphics and animation. In the last update we introduced Proximity Sensor support for the iPhone. This update refines the support as some armband users were having problems with it. Every known mistake with the audio coaching has been fixed now. We've gone back to the recording studio for this update and fixed every known mistake with the audio coaching. If you're running with an iPhone, the proximity sensor is now used to suspend the display and controls as soon as you put the phone in to your pocket. First – we've found that as well as being a fantastic way to get fit, running is something that most runners want to talk to other runners about, both to celebrate their success and to ask for support. Easily remove unwanted runs that have made their way in to your log. Just touch the cogs at the bottom right and choose "Run Log Management" from the Settings screen. The settings also give you control of the Run Clock during your workouts. The default lets your phone lock itself and dim the display to save power - Get Running will keep on coaching you, of course! Your other options are to keep the clock on, or additionally, protect the in run media controls to avoid accidental activation. This new version of Get Running adds ducks! By popular request, Get Running now pauses your music as it talks to you, and then starts it playing after (In the music trade this is called "ducking" - Quack!). Ducking uses features only available in OS 3.0 or better. But don't worry: if you're using an older OS, Get Running will still work beautifully, and you'll get ducks if you do upgrade. … The next release will provide a way to delete unwanted runs from the log. Useful for those times your son or daughter is playing with your phone, and in two minutes they go for six runs with it! Until then, if you want to remove _all_ runs, you can do that by deleting the app from your phone, and then adding it back with iTunes.

Ist eine super simple App, die einem schrittweise dazu bringt 30 min zu laufen. Es wird dir während dem Laufen angesagt was du als nächstes machen musst. Eigene Musik oder Podcasts laufen ohne Probleme weiter. Kein Drumherum mit Social Media etc! Kilometeranzahl etc wird leider nicht ermittelt, aber das hat jedes Handy heutzutage eh als eigene App eingebaut.

Diese App ist die beste, wenn es darum geht, mit dem Laufen zu beginnen. Habe einige probiert, aber nur hier bekommt man auch zwischendurch Ansagen. Z.B.: Hälfte geschafft, noch 1 Minute usw. Das gibt es bei anderen Apps nicht — und man nutzt ja eine solche App, um NICHT aufs Display oder eine Uhr schauen zu müssen … und auch, weil man anfängt und es einem somit erst einmal etwas schwerfällt; so ist man dankbar über Zwischenansagen! Allerdings: KEIN GPS. Ich lasse eine andere App mitlaufen, dann weiß ich, wieviel ich geschafft habe... Klare Empfehlung!

30 Minuten laufen ohne Pause? Das funktioniert nie, laufen ist doch so langweilig. Jetzt, nach 8 Wochen, denke ich ganz anders. Ich freue mich jedes mal auf den neuen Lauf. Ich spiele jetzt sogar schon mit dem Gedanken nächstes Jahr bei einem 10 Kilometerlauf mitzumachen. Sehr geholfen haben mir bei der App die Ansagen nach jeweils 5 Minuten und in der Hälfte der Laufzeit. Schade das nach 9 Wochen das Trainingsprogramm zu Ende ist. Bitte eine (Anschluss-) App für 10K veröffentlichen, dann gibt es auch 5 Sterne.

Im Dezember musste ich feststellen, dass ein kurzer Sprint hinter der S-Bahn mich nicht nur auf der falschen Seite der S-Bahn Türen zurück, sondern auch komplett ausser Atem. Angesichts des nahenden ersten Januars entschloss ich mich, meine guten Vorsätze zum Neuen Jahr vorzuziehen und mit dem Laufen zu beginnen. Gesagt getan: Get Running gekauft und los ging es - Get Running nutze ich mit einer weiteren App für statistische Daten zusammen und das Trainingsprogramm ist absolut super und macht viel Spaß. Kleine Kritik: manchmal ist die Stimme gegen die Musik zu leise.

Das App "Get running" its zwar grafisch nicht so ansprechend wie z.B. "runtastic" und leider wird hier auch keine Strecke aufgezeichnet und man kann auch nix über Facebook & Co mitteilen - dafür motiviert einem das Programm viel mehr! Es beginnt z.B. mit 5 Minuten aufwärmen, dann starten die Intervalle - wobei man immer motiviert wird (Beispiel: "Dies ist Dein fünfter Intervall Lauf. Nur noch zwei sind vor Dir. ... war die totale Couch-Potatoe und plötzlich laufe ich dreimal die Woche und kann es kaum erwarten die nächste Session zu starten! Finde die Ansagen voll motivierend - und die Längen der Läufe ideal. Jeweils am Anfang einer Trainingswoche schnauft man wie eine alte Dampflok - und am Ende denkt man sich 'wie? Das war jetzt alles?' - v.a. für totale Anfänger wie mich super, da man ständig Erfolgserlebnisse hat, die zum Weitermachen motivieren! Aufbautraining.  Es wendet sich an Anfänger, kann aber auch noch später eingesetzt werden, um z.B. seinem Trainingsprogramm etwas Abwechslung zu geben und mal zu sehen, wie das mit einem iPod Touch gehen kann. Habe die App zwar eben erst das erste mal ausprobiert aber ich muss sagen ich bin sehr zuversichtlich, das ich in sechs Wochen eine halbe Stunde am Stück schaffe. Die app ist zwar auf englisch allerdings sollte jeder, der die achte Klasse abgeschlossen hat verstehen was er zutun hat. Sinnvoll, um "anzufangen", sofern man sich nicht um aktuellen Puls, Kalorienverbrauch und dergleichen kümmert. Die App ist also entweder sinnvoll für Anfänger, die "nur mal so laufen" und die ohnehin eine ganz gute Kondition haben (und sich nicht weiter um solche Details kümmern wollen, sondern drauf los laufen können) oder für Profis, für die Ähnliches gilt.
