Questionable answers
Some answers I was a bit confused by. I am semi familiar with my accounts but when talking about the BBB, the answers were delivered a bit too quickly. The guest speaker was very good and did give examples. One area of confusion were new tax brackets. The bracket we fell into no longer exists. I can call Janney or our accountant to find answer. I look forward to more webinars with possibly more specific issues so that area can be discussed at length, even using examples for different incomes with visuals. Thank you all for this informative webinar and nice to put faces to names. Barb

Multiple challenges with sound and camera
I can not recommend WebEx. After sorting through problems with the desktop app during a dry run of a webinar we thought we were ready for showtime. But on the day of our webinar we still had trouble with sound and video for one presenter and they had to join by phone. Then the video still didn’t work, even though permissions on the phone appeared correct and the camera indicated that it was on. Couldn’t even figure out how to force it to use the web version of WebEx….if the app is installed on the computer or phone it won’t let you revert back to the more simple browser version.

Don’t waste your time with Cisco webex still unless you have no other option. I wish companies would use another’s product all of their reviews are bad unless it’s from their trolls. Still do not understand why major cooperations refers to this instead of much better products but I see how they pushed it through since Cisco has high reputation and tenure. Webex for hearing impaired people is great!
I am a Vietnam veteran who is hearing became impaired over the years to the point now where I am deaf, but have two cochlear implants. What enables me to comprehend was being said is the supplemented with Lip Reading and transcriptions on my phone. The standard video for veterans at the VA does not allow captions. But my medical providers were able to switch to Webex and it is made an enormous difference to me when we have appointments or group meetings that are not in person. I am really grateful to Webex for having excellent video and excellent subtitles. Keep truckin’!!

Too many apps
Seems arbitrary that Webex has several different apps and you need to use different ones for different meetings. This morning I couldn’t join an annual meeting using one app, i needed to download the “WebEx” app instead. I deleted “WebEx Meetings,” then an hour latter I needed the “Meetings” again for another WebEx. The connection was poor on my meeting. The other party couldn’t keep video going, frequently breaking up. Audio sounded poor too. This participant was on a business internet connection. Seems inferior to Zoom. In the plus category, it’s not MSFT Teams (terrible).

Aggressive application
I don’t necessarily dislike WebEx as a tool, but I certainly dislike the need to have to download the app and it trying to run behind the scenes when I’m not using the app even though I am not allowing cookies or permissions and things like that. At one point in time I had nearly 100 WebEx windows, running behind the scenes, despite closing out of my sessions afterwards. Fortunately, I don’t have any information on my desktop. 1st WebEx meeting
Utilized on a mobile device. It was very easy to connect. Added WebEx to my calendar. Set up the alert. It alerted me at the appropriate time in my time zone. It automatically adjusted for the 9 hour difference in the time zone. Clicked on the alert pop-up and connected immediately. Audio and video was very clear. Audio did not seem to cancel the other person out when speaking at the same time.

The video ( the PT person showing us)was very important and I don’t know where to see it again. Is the written content available anywhere? The videos were too fast for me to write everything. The person should talk slower, especially if that info is not available later.

Functional, but barely
Had to download this really quick to attend a virtual webinar. When I clicked the meeting link, it made me create an account/sign in before I could join, and then asked me for some URL that I didn't know. Finally I just closed and reopened the app, and manually typed in all the meeting codes and such. At that point I was finally able to join my webinar (late), but then I couldn't get it to AirPlay properly. I could either mirror my screen or AirPlay the audio, but not do both at the same time. My thoughts regarding this type of meeting
It’s always a pleasure talking with Nick Lavella my Advisor. But I prefer to tall to everyone face-to-face. I think you always get a better perspective by seeing a persons reactions to things that are being discussed. Todays meeting accomplished a lot and I liked the new tool that Nick reviewed with me. We mutually agreed on the results of the Roth strategy and now I won’t have to ask about Roths each time we meet unless there is a change in the rules.

Used the WebEx today
I used this app for the first time today. Previously, I had only used Zoom for virtual meetings. Zoom has its limitations. I found the WebEx program easy to use. The person who answered my request to join was able to transfer me to the correct person. The audio & video were easy to access (unlike Zoom) and the picture/sound were of excellent quality.

Didn’t allow camera use on Laptop
I had a scheduled meeting and logged on early to test my microphone and camera. When asked to I allowed the website permission to use both microphone and camera, yet only the mic was working. Then the website gave me the run-around to allow Camera permissions for website even though I did and checked my settings as well to make sure I granted permission. Need fix on notification badge icon
The Webex app generally offers a good user experience, but the latest version has introduced a frustrating issue that needs to be promptly addressed. Specifically, the notification badge on the app icon, which indicates the number of unread messages, does not update even after reading all the unread messages. For instance, if I have three unread messages and read them all, the badge still shows '3', causing confusion and making it unclear if there are new messages or not. This has been particularly annoying and disrupts the workflow. I hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible. Thank you

Audio Issues
Have been using this app on iPad ever since in Covid my firm started BYOD. But the one issue that is consistent both for iOS and iPad OS app is the audio connection.
I use airpods connected to iPad, and want to use them for listening and talking on the meetings. And the Bluetooth icon, just does not recognize Airpods even though they are connected to iPad and other apps can see them at the time. It recognized homepods and other macs on the same local network, but airpods that are connected via bluetooth are just not seen.

It was very confusing. I think a classroom setting would have been better. A lot of people were asking questions and they just didn’t understand and what I was asking they gave me another answer and then cut me off. Audio issues
SUMMARY: noisy audio, confusing interface, inappropriate for corporate privacy needs, seems untested in real environs. Do NOT recommend.
DETAILS:
Our teams use Zoom, Teams and WebEx frequently and usually find that Zoom has excellent audio whereas WebEx usually has noise, crackles, and generally inferior audio, whether over network or phone. So I turn on the closed captions & transcripts (of CC) to figure out what people are saying, and that transcript window overlays the video windows — it should be a side window.

Login & Layout
Since I attend the same group meeting each week, I was wishing there were a way to save the login information so that I didn’t have to enter it every time I attended my meeting. No one else has access to my computer, so I do not have to worry about anyone else gaining access to it and I do not attend any other WebEx groups, so I don’t have to worry about going to the wrong meeting.
It would be nice if I could move which person to make bigger, such as highlighting the host and a speaker side-by-side at the same time, while still seeing the other guests at the same time.

Love it
I use the Webex app from my iPhone every day. It works wonderfully. The only issue I have is with the iPhone itself — every call interrupts the audio on the meeting. Sometimes, even after declining the call, Siri interrupts asking if I want to answer. Then I usually have to exit the meeting to get back to the right audio. Do not disturb doesn’t work; it turns off if the screen is active. Other than that, the app is awesome!

Audio connecting on phone
Whenever I try to connect to the audio on my iPhone it usually says it can’t connect. If I turn my Bluetooth off it works most times but there are times when that doesn’t work either and it’s pretty frustrating. If I then choose for the app to call me it calls and if I don’t happen to put the phone to my ear right away while trying to put my speaker phone on, the prompts on what do don’t repeat.

Audio issues, but very useful tool!
For some reason, the audio quality from meeting to meeting is inconsistent…same participants using the same devices each time. When it WORKS…it’s very pleasant, but occasionally we experience such poor audio that we have to use cellphones in conjunction just to be able to hear each other, and that is a real pain. Otherwise, we really like the platform and have been using it successfully for our HOA Board of Directors Meetings for the last three years. Very useful tool!

Holiday Stress
Thank you so much for the helpful tips! I have mild depression, that has gone deeper with the suicide of my daughter in June of 2018. So holidays were tough for me with depression and now are tougher after her suicide. Trying to simplify things. Already looking ahead and trying not to stress. Thank you again so much!

Very disappointed in new HRA reimbursement guidelines
Unfortunately, this new AT&T UHC plan will cost me some non-reimbursables for 2023 for example dental and vision expenses. In stead of my out of pocket being less, my monthly costs will increase due to a monthly premium and no dental coverage.
I’m grateful for the coverage, but disappointed in the lack of dental. Put some meat back on the table IE: dental, vision, and OTC quarterly assistance. My wife is disabled and will only need more care as time passes. As we age vision and dental gets to be more challenging..

Webex is fantastic in comparison with the competition
We live in a time of virtual work and I have had to use Webex’s competitors for a while. Today was my first time using Webex and I can say that it is streets ahead of the competition. The entire 1 hour plus interview that I attended was completely glitch free and the clarity of both the images and sound on my iPhone were way better than all of the competition. A full five stars! A pain to add photo background to STAY
Well, I think that I might have FINALLY gotten my photo background to stay put.
I added WebEx to my iPad, then started a meeting (with no one else) just so I could access the video to add a photo from my photo collection. (For anyone else, I hope my details here may help you.). I then clicked video icon to open video, clicked the tiny 3 vertical dots in circle, clicked add photo, then APPLY was clicked. All on my iPad, because when I did this on my iPhone, the photo background did not stay!

Learning to chat in meetings & other components/options using an iPad
It took me almost the whole two hours of my meeting to figure out how to chat with the other participants in the meeting. I tried pushing every icon on the screen to try to get to group chat. I even went into settings and tapped on help and on the Q&A sections to see if the information was in either of these locations.
