pickUP offers a simple and convenient way to book a taxi on demand or in-advance.
With just a couple of taps on your app, the closest registered taxi driver will come and pick you UP!
Nobody wants to see empty taxis sitting at the taxi stand waiting for passengers to come to them, while passengers spread across the island are searching for a taxi. Our app uses the GPS on your phone to get the taxi directly to you with minimal waiting time.

Convenient with minor issue
Found it very easy to use and rides always come on time.
Issues come about after it auto pays when using my credit card. A menu pops up that keeps asking me to pay although it’s automatically charged already. So in order to get out I have to close the app completely.
Other than that the app saves me a lot of trouble trying to find a taxi when I need one. Most regular drivers become unreliable. This way I am at least sure I can get a ride.

Reliable way to get a ride and pay by card
We used the all extensively on our trip to Barbados. It was a reliable and quick way to hail a taxi. They always came within 5 minutes, if not sooner. The biggest benefit is that you can pay by card. Nearly all other taxis only take cash.

Annoying that it makes you rate drivers.
I do not like to give drivers negative feedback (unless they are complete jerks) and often times just won’t leave feedback if they weren’t great. This app will not let you not leave feedback. I tried exiting and reopening and it kept going back asking me to rate. I ended up leaving a 5 star rating for someone I wasn’t impressed with just so I could use it again. Driver wasn’t bad, but was a bit reckless (very common in the Caribbean). I don’t think he necessarily deserved a bad review, but also didn’t feel he earned a 5 star rating. SCAMMERS!
Make sure you take a screenshot of every trip before you order the trip!! The app glitches a lot and will change your destination and charge you more than it quoted you and charge you more to go to your original destination. They’ll only give you credit to use in the app, to correct the issue smh.

Love this!
What a great step forward in the Barbados experience. We’re here or 3 weeks and decided to forego a rental car for this visit, relying instead on buses and taxis. This ride hailing app has been excellent for times when the bus wasn’t appropriate. Worked perfectly! Drivers showed up within a few minutes of our request! Way easier than asking the hotel or restaurant to call you a cab. We’ll continue to use it a lot.

Best way to get around in Barbados
The PickUp Barbados is fantastic for taxi service in Barbados. We used it heavily for getting around the west coast on a recent 8 day visit. Hailing taxis via the app was fast, reliable and very easy. Every driver we had was friendly and professional. The app gives you an estimate based on your destination, allows you to pay via credit card or cash, even for the tip. Highly recommend and will use again!

Worked well
Very similar to uber. It doesn’t show what vehicle driver has only the license plate. The license plates are very simple to see on Bdos so not a real issue. Both drivers had actual taxis and were very friendly. For cruise dock you have to walk out the main gate for pickup so maybe an extra 50 feet compared to taxi stand.

Made the island so much easier to explore!
We started using PickUp when we arrived on vacation and it’s made our entire trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We downloaded the app because we were nervous about driving on the opposite side of the road, especially after dinners and a few drinks. PickUp made getting around seamless - we could go for a sunset rum punch or a late dinner without worrying about driving back to our AirBnB. Highly recommend!
