Suggestion
Add a delete this copy if you have two copies of the same movie. Just a suggestion, that way, you have your preferred copy and not two. Also hope you’ll eventually partner with Paramount and Lionsgate as well. Would love to see the rest of the Indiana Jones, Mission Impossible and Hunger Games films on Movies Anywhere. Still hoping this will be possible one day.

Kinda crazy that you are required to agree to Movies Anywhere collecting and sharing your data before creating an account. It’s far from the only company that does this but still pretty shady. Also I linked my Fandango and two of my movies straight up disappeared. I attempted to troubleshoot by disconnecting the Fandango account from Movies Anywhere until it told me that I would have to wait 180 days to log back in with Fandango in addition to not being able to add movies from Fandango after disconnecting. I love the way this app functions. It makes it very easy to watch your movies wherever you want and the services they link together make it easy to keep your movies in a joint collection regardless of the platform you buy them from. But Movies Anywhere is missing contracts with certain studios and I know this bc I’ll buy movies that don’t port bc this app doesn’t have the movie on their own platform

Thanks for letting me watch my fandango library after their bad app update
You officially get a 5 star review for not making the terrible business decision the folks at Fandango made with their app, locking people out if they have older devices or anything that can’t update to iOS version 17. I have an old iPod touch, it only has iOS version 10-something, but still works perfectly fine so I’m not interested in getting something newer just to watch shows/movies on the go. Please please please don’t make the same decision with this app and require a new version when it should be perfectly reasonable to allow users to just keep an older version that works. I really hope

Where are the parental controls
Movies Anywhere is a great service — we love having our family’s entire movie library in one place. But in 2025, there’s no excuse for not having proper parental controls.
Right now, there’s no way to restrict movie access by rating using a PIN. That means I can’t let my daughter use the app at all, because she could easily access content that’s not appropriate for her — or just switch to another profile and bypass the limited rating setting.
Every major streaming app offers PIN protection for profiles or rating restrictions. It’s a basic, expected feature — and the fact that Movies Anywhere

I think we’ve waited long enough. I’ve been using this app for the past five years I’ve noticed then, but we all thought maybe by this time you guys would’ve implemented the TV series also that I purchased off of console through my Xbox one I don’t understand how you guys are able to connect all the movies that we’ve purchased but you can’t seem to bring over the TV series also that we purchased through our console as well please fix this this is the only thing wrong with your app. Other than that it’s great, but it can be so much better. Pretty Great Service, Needs Update
Typically this service has been awesome at allowing the consumer to share certain movies across platforms…That is not my issue…Today I’m trying to reconnect my Apple Library to Movies Anywhere, but it keeps going to iTunes Store, where it cannot connect because movies are no longer stored on that app. They are in the Apple tv app. I got a notice telling me to recommit to the service, but then there is no way to do so. Other than that, great service.

Issue with Audio Tracks
Hi, there’s this one Film (Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children COMPLETE) and this Film has both Japanese and English Audio, and I can select both when watching on the Web or in my TV
But it is specifically in the iPhone App where I don’t see an Option for selecting it, the only Track is English and there is no Japanese, I assume this is a Glitch because another Film with both English and Spanish Audio (Despicable Me 1) does not have this Issue

You buy the app it’s great until you wanna watch a movie. You have to buy every single movie that you wanna watch even if the ones that are power Paramount+ and stuff aren’t and or even and stuff that are out, but they still cost money on their stuff that aren’t out I get it. Not great
I like that you can view movies from different sources like Apple and Fandango but it doesn’t seem to include TV shows as well which is quite a minus. Also, movies keep hanging and the video freezes while the movie is playing and I have to get out of the movie and back in, and sometimes the movie just restart from the beginning. I much prefer to use Fandango to watch the movies and TV shows. Also, I have titles in box sets that I cannot put on My Movie because the codes have expired. I bought the movies and should be able to use the codes at any time.

Saved movied
First of all, the functionality and premise of MA is great. My only complaint is that saved movies will have their license expire after a time and not give an indication of this until you try to play a title. If you are lucky enough to have an internet connection at the time, you cannot simply renew the license at this time. You need to delete the file and redownload it entirely. This can be and should be improved. Thanks.

Automatic List titled “Don’t Turn Around” Cape Fear, ok. It, ok. Prometheus, um? Evil Dead, not really, Gremlins, no. Predator? No! The Day the Earth Stood Still? WT? Cult Movies: Pacific Rim? Bleak Sci-Fi & Horror Movies: They Live? (Belongs under Cult Movies, btw) The Hobbit: The Hobbit (shocker there) Oh, here’s a list recommendation: this film is not available on iTunes. So much for Movies ANYWHERE. I know it’s available on Fandango. Honestly, the only redeeming feature of this app is it allows you to sort Z-A, but even that becomes useless if your library grows into the hundreds.

While I really like this app for the longest time though whenever I download movies, watch them, stop, and try to resume it will for some reason just start the movie over. I don’t know what the deal with that is but it’s kind of annoying and I wish they would fix this issue. Small but it is kind of big since I don’t want to keep trying to figure out where I left off.

Great movie locker app. It’s free you just have to purchase movies.
I’ve had movies anywhere since June 2016. It’s a great movie locker app where you get to buy your favorite movies and store them online in a movie app. I’d recommend it. You can create a free account but you have to buy movies from them and you can attach it to your favoritemovie sellers like Apple TV prime video iTunes, and many others. I’d recommend it. It’s a good app for storing your movies.

Does not add all movies, can only delete account on app
I signed up via the website, added it to my Roku, connected my Prime account… and it only showed half the movies I had purchased. (Yes, this was in my library.) I signed out, signed back in, same thing. Then discovered this is not uncommon, it will not add movies from certain studios, which you won’t know until after you sign up. Does defeated the purpose of me having movies anywhere, so I proceeded to try to delete my account. Well, apparently you can’t even delete your account on the website or on the Roku app. You have to download the app on your iPhone or iPad and then delete it from there

The best way to watch digital titles
This platform has survived the test of time and is now the leading service for viewing digital titles at home and on the go. Accessing extra features and content is even easier than on disc and the bitrates and compression are comparable. Consolidate your digital titles if you haven't already, it's worth the effort simply to have a convenient back up to physical.

Great app, great sound, slightly laggy and blurry video, and pricey
This app is great! I love being amen to have my favorite movies from all different platforms in one place.
I do have a few things to say though. The movies at times are laggy and don’t come out clear, which dampens the experience. What I find more annoying is that it isn’t consistent, the times of when it’s laggy is unpredictable and unwanted when enjoying a good film.
Also the prices for the movies are quite high, so I do suggest getting the dvd’s that come with it purchased on the app. They come out to about the same price and your getting more for your money.

Will steal your movies if you don’t log in when they tell you.
Ever get a phishing email that pretends to be a business you pay a for a service? The email threatens that you will lose your account and any value you’ve put into it if you don’t go to their link and enter your user name and password. This is the kind of email Movies Anywhere will send you. You redeem all you digital copies through Movies Anywhere and then after a while they start sending you emails threatening to steal your movies if you don’t log in and agree to their updated user agreement. The tactic is indistinguishable from phishing.

Frustrated
I’m so sick and tired of having to redownload my movies on my iPad because “the download license” has expired. It’s an absolutely ridiculous waste of my time. I have check my kids iPad or mine before we have to drive somewhere and spend at 30 minutes to an hour redownloading all of our movies. Once they are downloaded they should stay that way until I decide to remove them after all I BOUGHT the digital copy it’s not like I’m renting or doing a lease that has to be renewed. This royally pisses me off.

When I redeem movies, I always redeem on this Movies anywhere app! It’s the best and definitely FAMILY FRIENDLY! NO UNWANTED NON-family movies that will pop up on here. Unlike other streaming apps.
You basically redeem all your digital movies and redeem on this movies anywhere, but to buy movies, I think they only support Apple movies, but If you buy your movies anywhere else, be sure to connect it with movies anywhere platform and your movies will transfer over! How about some actual features like being able to delete profiles & having some actual control over password changing which does nothing. If I change my password but someone somehow has access me changing the password does nothing cause they’ll still be logged in & have access to my movie library. I would have to call in to movies anywhere to fix the issue which doesn’t take effect for 24 hours. Deleting profiles should be standard! at least give us that! Hello all, just wanted to let you know that Movies Anywhere stands behind the service they provide. I had a problem signing in and they told me that my account didn’t exist, so since I was out of town I had to wait until I returned home to resolve my issue. So when I returned home I signed up as a new customer and downloaded four codes, digital blu ray movies I had purchased Much easier using Movies Anywhere to store and play back my movies. The app is fine, but the features are a cash grab
I really despise DRM. I thought the ability to lend movies on here was a great feature (since I own several hundred). But after sending 2 movies to a friend of mine, the second could not be sent unless they purchased a movie on Movies anywhere. Also, the share feature is going away in June. So yep, nice that we can tie our services together, but this is still not as effective a replacement for DVDs.
I did accidentally create a second account, and the MA team was helpful enough to combine the accounts. Otherwise, this would be one star. Without being able to share movies, this app is pretty us

Misleading. Read the fine print!
So… This is the only platform to watch purchased Microsoft movies HOWEVER… it only works for certain production companies… NOT EVERY MOVIE YOU PURCHASE WILL BE HERE. Only certain ones.
Movies from Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM among others are NOT going to show up here. You can still watch them from the app you purchased them from… but they will not be added to the “all in one library” that Movies Anywhere advertises to be. And if you purchased the movies through Microsoft… there’s not an app to watch on your tv without an Xbox to do it from.

Reconnect retailer issue
Purchased Prime Video movies stopped appearing in the app. In an attempt to fix that, I disconnected then reconnected Prime Video. Essentially “restarted” my connection. The previously purchased movie(s) then were available. But subsequent purchases are not showing up. The disconnect process warns of this issue, but that renders your app useless to me going forward.
If nothing I buy in the future is going to appear, what’s the point. Why is this the case, and are you working on a fix?

Problem with downloaded movies
When the app works it’s awesome but when we are on a camping trip or a long road trip and all of the sudden the movies won’t work even when saved as offline it gets very frustrating. Wish they would fix this problem so I don’t have to keep erasing the app and reinstalling the app just to get the movies to work especially when we are someplace with no internet or Wi-Fi signal. It makes my little girl very sad and bored when she can’t watch her movies.

This is an amazing app! Most of my movies now in one place. It’s easy to sort and find movies. Also, it’s easy to share movies with friends and family using screen pass. The app is always reliable, never any downtime or buffering. If all the major studios would participate, their would be little need for a plex server. I would love to have a way to pass all these movies on to my kids one day. Maybe you can come up with a way to give movies to others, not just screen pass them.

Not the consolidator I was hoping for
I was (still am) looking for an app that would consolidate all the various movies AND “wishlists” (“My Lists”) across my multiple subscriptions. Turns out, it doesn’t connect HBO Max, Netflix, Paramount, Disney+ and others. Worse, the My List function in this app seems to only be limited to movies and shows that are My Listed from this app. (Can’t pull in my lists from the services I *was* able to connect to.
