I called the bank of behalf of my mother who is not fluent in English. I asked for a translator at first, and they told me that they don’t provide translators. I asked if I can translate for my mother instead. They said I can after they verify her and she acknowledges that I can be on the phone for her. I spoke with the first representative and told her my mother’s account was locked. She transferred to me a second rep to help. The second rep made us go through another round of questions to verify identity/ acknowledgment. Second rep told me that I’m not allowed to translate for my mother and
