I use a certain browser in order to use Ad and DNS blocking. Ground News app forces internal browser with no option to set default behavior in its settings. If you want to open in external browser, first you have to open it there, thereby transmitting your data and accepting cookies and trackers from news sources, and only THEN can you open it in "reader" mode in an in-app "external" browser. They disallow you to easily select "open in Safari". I logged out and deleted my app upon finding this out.
