Telegram is not complying with the iOS “Limited Access” to contacts feature which Apple introduced in iOS18 (or earlier?). It’s requiring Full Access to all contacts. Despite several app updates in 2025 this is still the case in version 12.0. Very disappointing

This app won’t function with only selected contacts; it wants you to give it access to all your contacts, which it will then upload to its servers. Basically it is circumventing Apple’s privacy controls. Disappointing and unethical.
