When I first got this app a few weeks ago, it was amazing. Best one I’ve seen on the App Store. Great interface, varied puzzles, and so far the best word highlighting I’ve seen. And then, suddenly about two weeks ago, I noticed that after a single puzzle was finished, the app started to freeze. Not just the app, but my entire phone slowed down, skipped, jagged. Today was the first time it happened on the very first puzzle. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is built in so that I’ll buy something, but since it’s a new bug, I want to hold off judgment. Okay, first things first: I love this. A heartfelt love letter to Centipede, but with bonus stages. Terrific design, music, graphics. Scratches the real itch I’ve had for that classic title, since the originals have all been yanked. Would love to see upgrades in a future update, but hats off to a stellar effort so far.

I wish I could dial my enthusiasm for this game back a little, but I won't. I believe this is probably the best mobile platformer game ever made (so far). Except for one portion of one stage where puffing Leo up like a balloon actually made him drop like an anchor, the controls are responsive and clever and invisible and perfectly at home on the touch screen. The visuals are sumptuous (full and detailed and a pleasure to look at), and sometimes I just play to look at them in all their glory. This has been a perfect sequel, improving on the first one in every way, from controls to scenery to balance of gameplay. I'm loving it, and hope you do too.
