Ad-free has ads now
I enjoy playing both regular Wordscapes and Wordscapes Search. I usually like Search a bit better. However, they recently redid the app layout. I couldn't understand why all the elements were so far from the top of the screen, I thought it was a glitch. But today I see why. There is a banner ad at the top now, and there's nothing you can do to make it go away. I previously paid for ad-free, which gives you unlimited level plays without video ads in between. I restored purchases just in case that was the issue, but apparently there is no way to get rid of banner ads. Would not mind paying again

Too many bugs
I liked this game at first but the main thing that is unique about it, the monthly highlighters, has been broken for 3 months in a row. Crashing, not appearing at all some weeks, ending early, and now totally resetting after the first week; I decided to just delete the app entirely, it was too frustrating. Support would just give copy and paste replies saying either they were looking into it or that it was fixed when it was not fixed at all. I’ve never encountered another app with so many bugs! Also $10 a month to remove ads is way too much and they would still sometimes pop up anyway the on

When I first started playing this game it was very relaxing and also mind-tricking since it teaches you how to use logical thinking and also increases your vocabulary in the whole dictionary of every single meaning! I find this app to be really fun and I enjoy the rotation of “events” there are - collecting butterflies, icons, frames, etc, but the amount of ads are ridiculous. I understand having ads, but the ads are after every level and are so long. You can’t even pay to remove them, except for a month at a time, but the dumb on screen banner ads are still there. Another thing is the monthly highlighters. I don’t know how it’s possible to get them when only two words count per level. It would be nice if we could just buy the highlighters.

Aside from the everpresent ads before every new game appears, the only complaint I have is that there is no recognition for extra bonus words that aren’t part of the game. I have almost 12,000 points in bonus words. It would be nice to have a gold star or something to show in recognition. Also, why can’t this game be presented in landscape format? Personally, that would be much easier with my iPad keyboard case.

I have really enjoyed this game over the years, but a few things are definitely frustrating. This is my favorite game to play, hands down. Great way to pass time & work on spelling. Paid a few bucks for Ad-Free, money well spent. But I have 3 issues that bother me. First, there are over 1 million English words. So why use the same words repeatedly, sometimes on 3 puzzles in a row? In one day, it feels like I play the same 20 puzzles on repeat. Same topics and words make me quit this for weeks. There’s no challenge in that. Hire me and I’ll send you some new ones & they’ll be really creative, too lol. This is seriously an AWESOME game to play that just fills time and is such a blast ✅ However, the only thing I do not like is that whenever it shows up in ads—which I totally get!—it’s super annoying that I can’t actually play the game, it just comes up with the “get this app now” screen. I’ve always loved word search/word find game apps and I’ve played my fair share of them over the years, and I only downloaded this one a few days ago and I’m already on a pretty high level. Mostly due to the fact that I’ve spent Hours playing it in just a few day period. And let me tell you, I don’t play iPhone based games very often, and when I do, it’s only once every couple months for maybe 10-15 minutes at MOST. This game is Worth the download. when I started this, I thought it was just gonna be a Grandma game but when I started it oh my goodness it is so fun. I literally just updated it so I don’t know what is it gonna be like but when I have an update it, you can have your own butterfly and once you get to a higher and higher level, they cover up the words so you have to find it yourself, but the one that I couldn’t do was Apple, and it was straight in my face, but overall, I think it is fine.

Awful Ads
I used to absolutely LOVE this game. I played it constantly to unwind. It used to have the usual ads after each level that comes with any free game, but lately the ads are ridiculous. There seems to be this new ad banner at the bottom of the screen and after every word or two I find the ad pops up from the bottom or the side of the screen. Sometimes I’ll tap the ‘X’ to close it and the ad will reopen immediately. It’s absolutely insane. When I want to play now I have to turn off WiFi and put my phone on Airplane mode so I don’t get an ad LITERALLY every 3 seconds. I’ll probably end up deleting

I love the game it is addicting and fun, but I did pay for the 30 day pop up ad removal… I still have ads pop up at random but they go away after a little bit without me having to exit out of them. This can be rather annoying when I am in the groove and trying to complete levels quickly. Other than this the game is great with little side missions. Used to play this game to relax every night and now half the words on every puzzle are hidden? Whoever came up with that idea is a complete and utter fool. Clearly trying to get people to either watch more ads or pay for more hints. This was my favorite game in the App Store to relax with and you’ve ruined it. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy this game. I find word searches calming and great to pass the time. I do like the little challenges to get some decent rewards. However - why so many ads after every level and when I open the app after I closed out of it for a couple of minutes? You want me to pay $10 to remove ads for only 30 days?! $10/mo for a word search game just to have the ads removed in what world does that make sense? Some of the challenges are made so that you have to spend so much of your day playing this game to get some rewards, it’s sort of unrealistic for those who have a life.

Amazing just one issue
This game is very fun and relaxing I especially enjoy the music and sounds and the added bonus words feature is cool as well with the added challenge of sometimes not knowing what the word is or only its first letter which is cool and makes it more rewarding the only issue is that there is an hefty amount of ads but I understand when a game is free there kinda needed either way this helps me calm down and focus with my ADHD and seeing number go up make me happy 😸

Something is going on with this app
I used to love playing this game and all of the events but no longer and support has been zero help . The latest issue is that I worked so hard last week to make sure I earned the first level high lighter on this month’s High Lighter event only to return to the game yesterday and my High lighter is no longer there and I have had to start back at the beginning . Also Tuesday’s event has been alternating between 2 contests for the past (seems like forever). There were Ads after each game, which is understandable for a free app. Since the latest upgrade, the Ads are not only a lot more frequent, even occurring in mid~game, and last a lot longer, they are very concerning. Many will not close once X is visible. Others have nothing to click on to get them to close. The most recent 2 smacked of malware. I love this game because it’s very relaxing to play. I should say I USED to love this game because it was very relaxing to play. The game I play now doesn’t show very many of the words I need to find. On the “harder” searches there is usually only one or two words showing. Sooooo relaxing with the music
I absolutely love this game, been playing for about a month at least 10-15 minutes a day. As of now I’m on level 275. The music is perfect as it’s calming, the levels themselves are fun and just challenging enough but not to difficult where you get frustrated. I also love the fact that you can rotate the puzzle around to help find words. One negative things I have to say is the Adds pop up after every puzzle or after I complete 2 puzzles. I’m not that worried about it since the overall experience of this wordsearch is outstanding. Great Job!! Also I have Wordscapes that I’ve played for 2 years

I love this game. It is relaxing and fun. My eight year old son loves it too. My only issue is Why do you make it so hard to get butterflies? My other word game has you play a handful of games to get the cocoons but this game has you play so many. My eight year old son loves the butterflies so much but can almost never get enough cocoons. It passes the time, and is generally fun. A lot of actual words aren’t accepted which is annoying. It won’t take swear words, which is fine, but it also won’t take other words I’ve found that aren’t on the lists. Example: listed word is “bounce” but the word “ounce” isn’t accepted as a word. Another listed word was “quarter” but “quart” is not accepted as a word. It’s a little frustrating when some words are accepted and other, legitimate words that are not offensive in any capacity aren’t. The ads are also what brings the review down. I really like this game. Not only are there a word list to find, but there are unlisted words that give you extra points. However, the screen often freezes and I have to close the screen and start again, often losing the words I have already found. Also, there are some unlisted words I have found that don’t count for some obscure reason. Both these things are discouraging. I have decided, sadly, to delete this game.
