I’ve been on Grindr for years and somehow it just keeps going further and further downhill. Access is so restricted that it is borderline unusable without a premium subscription. I’ve always been willing to pay because I previously lived in a rural area and distance/filters were important, but now that I live in a larger city it is insane to me how poorly the app functions. Even with a premium (though apparently middle-tier) subscription I am still getting ads. I am still being told I need to upgrade AGAIN and pay more to see everyone nearby.
