An app needs to deliver sufficient value to a user before requiring commitment (i.e. an account) from a user. This app completely disregards this. I only looked at maybe three or four trails before the app would insist that I create an account. That’s unacceptable. Consider other apps in this category of user-contributed routes, such as RideWithGPS, which respect the user a lot more by not incessantly asking the user to create an account. I always use MapOut for planning for hiking routes. It's great at showing all the hiking trails and the recommended hiking routes. Its elevation estimation is quite accurate. I sometimes consult books and other sources for hiking route suggestions and it's a breeze to create a tour in MapOut. A one-time purchase is so much better than other subscription-based apps since I only hike ~20 times per year. Using MapOut for cycling is a bit of a worse experience. Firefox focus is a fairly minimalistic browser that helps address my addiction to the web. By deliberately having one tab only, it means it can't accumulate hundreds of tabs like I do in safari. Every link I choose to click must hold its weight. Furthermore, logging in to any site is basically ephemeral so you don't see as much personalization that tries to appeal to you. It's a nice mitigation for my addiction to the web.

This is a wonderful app for math and science students. The natural language input is not very reliable, but it accepts most Mathematica expressions very well. It is essentially a mobile version of Mathematica for me en I'm away from my computer. Very good!
