Decreases distraction, keeps my data safe
After a brief adjustment period, I am completely I love with Firefox Focus and wish I could have it on my computer too. My attention span has increased. My wallet has recovered from impulse purchases. I make more thoughtful choices about what websites to go to. PLUS I get to avoid targeted ads and make it harder for companies to profit my usage data (privacy of constant cookie deletion). It is the opposite of “multiple tab syndrome” for ADHD users.

Needs a Reader Mode and dark mode for web pages
I really want to like this browser. It’s super clean. No muss. No fuss. The only thing it’s missing is dark mode for web pages. Brave has it. Safari has extensions for dark mode and auto-reader mode you can toggle. I want to use this browser, but I find myself sulking back over to the others because I don’t wanna be blinded. Please fix this soon. Dark mode and reader mode is a must.

It's nice to have a good alternative browser
I really appreciate this browser and feel safe using it. I'm not sure how safe any of us are in this digital environment but this seems like the best choice for me. I have to say it's a huge hassle to eliminate Google search. I managed to do it on my last phone a lot of experimenting with settings. Unfortunately that was kind of a hectic exploration and I don't remember what I did. Now I have Google in the search bar again even when I'm using Firefox Focus. I also don't know the search engine and a browser 🤷🏻‍♀️

*So* much better than Safari
Every time I open someone else’s Safari on iOS, I find at least dozens browser tabs, which is unused history with unwanted cookies and storage. The very first thing that every iOS user should do is load Firefox Focus, erase Safari history, pull it off the toolbar and replace it. Apple makes private browsing difficult to find and the retention of old tabs a seductively bad habit.

Focus is by far the absolute best iPhone browser! I used Safari for years, and then I discovered Focus when I realized I didn’t want to be tracked. 1) The app shows that there’s a Safari extension included in the app, but when I go to my Safari settings in my iPhone settings I see zero extensions whatsoever for anything. 2) there needs to be the ability to open multiple windows because sometimes when I go to one page and have it is difficult to navigate back across the login pages to any of the previous pages I was looking at. 3) please please make it possible to bookmark pages. Too Limited
Two of the most basic things all browsers should have: 1) a way to bookmark; 2) a way to open another window. The bookmarks for this browser are called, quite reasonably, "shortcuts". They appear on the home screen---no tree, elsewhere, with potential folders---which is fine, except that you only get four of them. That's right, just four. Give me a break. As for the new tab thing, nope. You only get the one tab.

Need Way to Clear Tracker Accumulation
Browser is great for privacy, however, some of the websites I often visit I find I now I have issues with the keyboard and applications freezing. I now have a tracker accumulation of over 10,000 in just a week. I use this browser to constantly edit my website. Add avway to empty out tracker cache when it gets overloaded. Thanks.

My screen time went down significantly with this app. It only gives you one tab so you can’t surf the web like with safari. It has an ad blocker so whatever you’re looking for is exactly what you find. It forgets your passwords so you need to sign in each time. All these little things adds friction to browsing the internet, making it easier to get off the phone. I still get to look up whatever I want easily. However I don’t waste as much time opening 20 stupid Reddit threads I don’t need to read later. It lets me prioritize. Straight up this is how the internet should be. Highly recommend

Ideal, for one caveat
This would be my default browser if not for one concern. I’m frustrated with being unable to automatically and forever block AI-assisted search results and AI images. I have to go in every time I use this browser and turn that off, but not before I see some AI-summarized result at the very top of my search. I’m aware this comes with not being tracked and having minimal settings in this app. That’s why I still give this app a 5-star rating. The most stable browser I have ever used bar none. It is so sad that they are planning to sunset it soon. While the browser is based on the famous Firefox, it beats the Firefox in performance, stability, and privacy by miles. always thinks I’m a bot and random light mode triggers
I don’t even have a VPN, and the browser makes me do reCAPTCHA before showing 60% of my searches when I’m not using WIFI. It’s a waste of time, especially when I click “verify” it sends me more photos to verify several times over until I can see a result. Also, my phone is programmed to dark mode, for most searches it stays in dark mode but then suddenly after another search it changes to light mode? The application lacks a feature to block requests for opening apps, and it would be beneficial if the default setting was to not sell personal information. Best Privacy on iOS
For iOS, as long as you've done your homework with your DNS(at least LibreDNS DNS-over-TLS minimum)and perhaps your IP if you care for location concerns, this is by far the best browser choice for privacy(on iOS). You'll want to add Opera GX because websites work on it better than in most mobile browsers, it has multiple tabs, AND it has a good browser game built in unlike Safari, however Firefox Focus is good for most everything - but privacy is an elusive concept on a commercial operating system. Once great, now hard to use
One of my preferred workflows with this app is when reading a webpage in a full browser or content in another app, if there’s a link I want to check out I long press it and open it with Focus. Or more often if there’s some name, word or phrase I want to search I’ll select that and share it to FFF. This is great because it preserves the state of my full browser and retains some more privacy. I much prefer it to riddling my main browser history with tangential searches and browsing. However, selecting text and tapping “Share” to Firefox Focus stopped working at least a couple weeks ago for me.

Need something above the keys
Always using this app for a quick online search, but the amount of times I’m typing and will hit too high on the top letter keys or it just registers it too high will drop the keypad and wipe out all that I’ve typed. Would be a much better app if it allowed you to zoom in or out, preferably without having to go to a Settings menu. I’ve been using more and just set it as my default since my safari seems to have been so slow at loading like I’m on dial up. So this guy is quick and to the point keeps the cache cleaned. No problems opening any pages as of yet. My sis is sending me links all the time and this opens any instantly whereas my Safari sits loading so very slow.

My favorite browser; exceptional in many ways
I’ve been using this browser consistently on my phone since I downloaded it a little over a year ago and I absolutely love it. Not only does it excel in privacy by all metrics, but it performs faster than other browsers thanks to its blocking. Its lack of search and web history is also a plus as I have no need to save it, and its instant delete button for your tab is great. Its UI is also very aesthetically pleasing. Infuriating Blocking of Legitimate Site - No Override
The lack of a “Override” continues the infuriating meddling. REPEATEDLY I have had U. S. Government sites blocked. Even sites I had bookmarked and KNOW are correct. Accept that Firefox makes mistakes & provide a way we can access sites we need! Months later & still same malfunctions & refusal to load specified sites. Provide an OVERRIDE to browser errors!! Received eventual response from Developer suggesting I consult their Community. SERIOUSLY??? Best at blocking pop-ups
I have found this browser to be very effective at blocking ads, especially pop-ups, during general browsing. It’s really not a browser for work and multitasking because you can’t open multiple tabs to cycle through, but that helps me focus my usage by confining it to what I really want to use it for. If you are reading a very large journal article and need to come back to it later, you can usually keep the browser on that article for a bit, but it may reset hours later.

Legitimately incredible app
This truly is an incredible app for using the internet while protecting you and your device with a number of security features as well as blocking ads, popups and cookies. Suddenly Buggy and Updated Quasi-Solution
Substitutes letter a for s. I have that substitution in my iOS keyboard settings, but Firefox Focus does not give one the option to continue with “s” as all other apps do, rendering it useless. Strangely, I had been using Firefox Focus for months without this surfacing. It undermines one’s confidence. I have deleted the app and associated files, along with Firefox. I hope, this and a reinstall will remove the anomaly and allow me to continue using the app. Will advise. Perhaps, the causation was cosmic rays? Lovely App; Missing ability to Open New Tab without Deleting the Other
Hi Firefox team! This app is great for browsing, privacy, and Adblocking. However, I would LOVE some customization. Specially - on the lower bar, there needs to be the ability to open/view other tabs. Currently the only way (I think?) to swap tabs is to permanently exit by DELETING the page you were on. And this just doesn’t work. By making this a selectable feature, it could retain the simplicity of the original design while still making this a viable browser for everyday work and life. If this issue was fixed, the browser would instantly go from a 3 to a 5. Thanks so much!

Best privacy search engine
I’m so impressed with Firefox private browsing. I enjoy the fact that I can easily erase all my history instantly. The best part is all the trackers that have been blocked. In just three days over 1800 trackers have been blocked. Resulting in no (zero) pop-up ads during browsing. (Even though google is still the primary browser). If I need to create tabs or add to my reading list I can use chrome. You still get same results from google without the ads which other companies say you have to pay to block ads. What about Google popups?
I like the idea of this app. I like how it functions… if I could just break my habit of hitting Safari automatically. And no, I don’t want to integrate it into Safari, because that caused a few issues for me that I could only resolve by uninstalling the app, restarting my devices, and reinstalling Focus.
